ctd Please help. Game CTDs right before Main Menu shows. This is NOT a mssing master issue

So aparently right before the main menu shows (not even right after the logo), meaning after the splash actually shows for a while, the game just CTDs.

Skyrim LE, i am just trying to add any quest mods like The Second Great War or even mods similar to WARZONES ect but the game instantly crashes when opening the main menu. The crash happens right when the menu options are about to appear. NOT after the main logo.

Splash shows just fine, ENB shows fine as well. After a while, the game just tries to load the menu options but crashes to desktop.

Below you can find my load order. If anyone can help please do. I just cant seem to figure this out.

Also, how many animations do you have loaded in FNIS?

15261 animations. Using FNIS XXL as well as the patch to make the game not crash due to animation load.

 

I can tell that its 200% not a missing master since the game loads normally withought the mentioned mods. 

The game is also VERY stable meaning that the only way to crash is it to spawn in 300 or so bandits at once

 

PS: The mods that seem to crash it when enabled atm are:

Inigo, WARZONES, The Second Great War, Relics of Hyrule, Missives and even Playable Monster Mod.

 

Funny how JK skyrim works nicelly when loaded however i disabled that due to fps issues

252 atm. Saddly i havent included them since they always crash me at the main menu right before the actual options show up (new game, load ect).

Okay, once more for the cheap seats: you have 252 plugins in the list you posted.  The game takes a maximum of 255.

You are 1 of the users that is a lot braver than I, i see Frostfall,Campfire,Wet and Cold,Hi-Res DLCs,Molag Bal's,Vigilant,Interesting NPCs,Falskaar,Helgen Reborn,Undeath,ect,ect,ect, surprised you don't have Burma in there. Most if not all those mods are great,idk about all of em together, a lot scripts, maybe flirting with string count limit, your data folder must be like 80-90 GB's

yup thats the thing. I can also add some other mods normally withought issues (tried with JK skyrim, RG Children and some others and the issue does NOT occur).

saddly its 560 gb atm. Lol. Idk how to even reduce that

 

As for optimizing the HI-Res Dlcs im afraid i dont use any other tools aside from:

zMerge, TES5Edit, WryeBash, SkyProc Patcher (From dual shealth), FNIS XXL and lastly if im not forgetting any, LOOT for sorting.

There is some way to do a string count test on load order, I did one time maybe a year ago. I would check that out, I am confident that i had read that interesting NPCs is choke full of them(strings), maybe try disabling that mod and then try 1 of your mods you can not get into game with.

weirdly enought its not that beefy altho i got my game very optimized due to modifying it for so many years with ini tweaks ect.

Im running an old:

Intel i7 2600 3.9 ghz hand overclocked (non k model)

MSI GTX 960 4GB with stable highest possible overclock

16 GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM

an old Gigabyte Ultra Durable 3 Mobo

and lastly a Turbo x (random trashy greek brand) 650w PCU

Usually what i find weird is that disabling script heavy mods will let one of these mentioned mods load. Does that mean that i have reached a script wall? Last time i checked back when i was using like 300 mods i had about 87k scripts running on that save.

im always keeping it under 255 (usually at 253 to be safe) using merges ect. I never go above that. Im no amateur i have been modding this for the past 8 or so years

Can confirm boyz. I reached the scripting limit. Disabling Interesting NPCs fixes it.

Now then. Either keep that amazing NPC mod...or add a couple of quest mods. Ideas?

wait is that CPU really not better than mine?

An employee was trying to persuade me that my i7 2600 was AGES older than this one and that i should in fact upgrade to a 4600+ even if it was i3 due to its speed being WAY better

Saddly it seems that interesting NPCS is trully the only mod that actually was the cause of the CTD with those other mods.

If Bruna (Which im installing now), crashes it, i will most likelly have to disable interesting NPCs. Saddly i am kinda hoping to avoid that as the mod is amazing when it comes to extra content

Beating you by about 2-3 years. Mine atm is about 8-9 years old aside from the graphics card and the 16 gb of RAM that are both now 6-7 years old

254 is the plugin limit

a string count of 65k for vanilla is the other limit

although this wouldn't let you crash before the main menu I guess ?‍♂️

 

I know that CTD behaviour from missing requirements that aren't as obvious as a missing master.

Mod conflicts and missing patches might cause that too and being close to animation limit.

It looks like string count is something that gets you as you play through game, I didn't read much but this link provides some info and it provides link to tool on nexus that shows you your current string count and it is easy to use.

all requirements for all mods have been carefully applied over the years of modding.

Its most likelly indeed the fact that interesting NPCs use a LOT of strings

 

Also yup. Crash fixes as well as Fixes for animation limit and load CTD fixes have been setup as instructed on their mod pages. Never had issues. Enabling ANY of these mods along side Interesting NPCs leads to a definite menu crash
