TamagoClub 1.15c / HiyokoClub1.10a stuff ENG

ESPs.

This seems to be only certain types of Hiyokos, not all. So something other than LO changes is playing into this. Add to this the fact that once they loose their heads it becomes near impossible to determine which race they are, other than personal memory of them, if I've actually run into them in-game previously.

The newest Hiyoko design I've added, and only to the HiyokoGenerator I use, seems to be one. Another is the taller human Hiyokos. Not sure if they are just in the HiyokoGenerator and not higher up in the ESMs That's where I stopped in this review.

Who came up with this design? So, tamago and hiyoko doesn't even manage all the relevant data of..... oh wait, i bet this is related to obvlion's modding infrastructure (and indirectly, serialisation -> savegames). Probably something like: If you add any feature/attribute/race/whatever to your hiyoko generator, then part of this will in savegames be stored under YOUR mod, instead of hiyoko ESM?

If yes, how is OBSE savegame data handled? I mean, it's stored in a seperate file. Can a plugin explicitely request where it's data is stored in savegames.... like, the data of another mod? (let me guess, i just reinvented that childdatabase thing???)

Posted

The previous Hiyoko generation, was yes, best I can tell dependent on storing certain data in the save game, which is major design flaw.

I'm looking into a couple or few methods to resolve this. Of course trying to finally make sense of PefectionCat's Child database would be one. But another could be to move my new Hiyoko designs further up the chain into ESMs, then have them also in ESPS. I'm trying to determine which approach is best, not just for the short term but long term as well. That and which requires the least amount of effort. Its enough of an effort just to create new Hiyokos, without having to then add to that with a major rebuild of ESMs.

Yeah, I think so. I have yet to dig deep enough into it, due to only part-time efforts with Oblivion these days, to give a definitive answer on that.

Well a pre-existing child database does seem like the easiest way to solve this - just placing a kid in the gameworld that reasonably resembles mom or dad. We'd lose all the genetic fun, but at least junior and juniorette would have heads.

EDIT: Just saw varenne's last post and it sounds intriguing. I'll be interested to see what you come up with.

Posted

Yeah, that lack of "genetic fun" is what doesn't appeal to me. Which is why I didn't look any further into the Child Database approach, as that is what it produces; exact duplicates of the parent. Boring. I can do that simply via console commands.

Posted

I feel there is a simple solution for this, as it is currently only affecting specific Hiyokos. (I also think the previous post by a member, here or in another forum, has the same exact headless Hiyoko issue.)

I also believe it is or could be related to how I recently added new Hiyokos, only to my current HiyokoGenerator. I feel the better method would be to create the new Hiyokos as races in an ESM, and then reference those in the ESP; an ESM is just a template, which is the step I skipped; My Bad!!!

Anyway, at some point this will go back to the drawing board, but for now I have other things to work on. Sooner or later I'll return to investigating this further.

EDIT: Well it's looking like I'll need to run the Hiyoko data purge spell, and go back about 20 saves or so, prior to my last MOD add and edits. FPS is impacted and worse it's now raining CTDs. Disabling the headless Hiyokos just ain't cutting it. I may just remove Tamago/Hiyoko and start over at this point with a clean save.

So word to the wise, be very very careful with adding new Hiyoko designs, or mucking with any Tamago/Hiyoko MODs. That and your current LO, if you have any number of Hiyokos in your current game world and favorite save games.

EDIT: Well I went back a few save games (like 30), rebuilt my Bashed Patch and managed to get my FPS back to where I had it. Issue with headless remains as I have not completed the data purge, just wanted to see if I could get lucky and land a sort of self-repair, but no joy there. Really frustrating that this gets boinked so badly by just editing the body stats of one race (Cute Elves) in two ESPs.

Time to start my Hiyokos over...

...yet again.

Would it be possible for someone to put the files from the first post on some other download site? 4shared always asks me to download the files through things like Facebook or Twitter, and I refuse to use any of those annoying social media sites.

If you are wanting the original japan versions may I suggest just registering with 4shared. It is free.

If you are wanting the english versions, they are hosted locally right below where it says 'quote' in the OP.

Well, crap. I didn't notice about that 4shared forces us to download things via these social shits.

Any suggestion? Other than Mega? Which service do folks use these days?

I'm sorry, I haven't been around quite a while. I may have to move my stuff to other sites.

I was under the impression that those files were just translations, without any meshes or textures, and that I would need to install the Japanese versions for those resources.

The english files for tamagoclub and hiyokoClub are standalone.

And in post #17 is the latest stable version.

You do realize you can just create an account with them and not use any of the social sites as login.

@movomo - You still may want to consider another upload site like Mega or something as 4Shared has really been screwing the pooch lately on how they allow/don't allow non-members to DL. I've been slowly DLing and moving my stuff to Mega. When I'm done I'll be deleting my 4Shared account.

Ok, nevermind! I realized I haven't logged in.

What hosting service is the best these days anyway?

Best is rather subjective, but I've been having good results using Mega, for what little cloud storage I need for the larger Oblivion files I still have.

For smaller files I'm uploading directly to LL for storage. That way I won't get emails every week for permission requests to files in the cloud, like I was with 4Shared. 4Shared wasn't like this in the beginning. Something changed in their business model, more than likely they're trying to monetize their service.

some one could make a guide to install this... and explain what do I need and how to install it... I see a bunch of links and no instructions. I would really appreciate it

yes I Agree with Cricgck if someone would please make a installation guide nothing long, its just that i have a fresh install and I always end up messing up

@  Cricgck and menoyes - Had you taken the time to read through the thread you may have discovered the beginning of what you are both eluding to on page 18. Seems to have fallen off of the radar. You could try sending a PM to movomo and the others that posted on this topic in the page 18 thread.

With that said, make note that TamagoClub 1.15c / HiyokoClub1.10a stuff ENG is not a beginners set of MODs. If you aren't willing to at the very least do some reading you're going to be nothing but frustrated. It has not been Plug & Play enabled (via an OMOD install) like other complex MODs such as MBP++ and Xeo, which used to be a bit of a bear (read pain the f'ing ass!)  to setup and make work.

There is no simple step-by-step installation for this as there are too many options to choose from. The first is MBP or non-MBP, and if you choose MBP you need to make sure that is working 100% before proceeding with this set of MODs.

I am really no longer active in using Oblivion much anymore, so I'm not motivated to write such a guide and the same for finalizing my BAIN approach.

Also make note that a number of contributing members in this thread are non-native English speakers/writers; English is a second or even third language for them so keep your sentences short and to the point.

I thought TamagoClub isn't much of a very difficult mod to install. (but setting things up is a different story, anyway)

Tamago consists of a bunch of texture files, one .esm file, one .ini file. Hiyoko consists of one .esm, one MBP-dependent .esp, one No-MBP optional .esp, and one .ini file. And that's it! Varenne may be referring to installing "other" tamago mods, like we all have some trouble with picking which Lovers plugins to install.

So, what's your take? To make things a bit easier, about what should I write? Relations between Tamago mods, maybe?

Posted

movomo - I'd review what was written by luinil and rynak777 on page 18 as both were a good start. It just needs to be consolidated and cleaned up a bit and moved to the OP. Tamago/Hiyoko MODs should also IMO be grouped as to what is core, what is optional and what is an add-on. Again I refer to page 18 and what I posted there on that.

And difficult is subjective. When newbies don't bother to read it is then difficult. Same applies to those that want a simple, no thinking involved install on their part.

Next, IMO would be to move some of what rghost has provided to the OP with notes maybe. There's a lot of history here as it progressed from the beginning of your original post. But since newbies seem not to care it becomes pointless as they won't take the time to read.

As far as it being easy I somewhat agree. The main difficulty it seems, based on my reviews of posts and threads in the past is users getting MBP++ set up and working first. That IMO is where most fail. That and a totally borked LO, or conflicting MODs that have absolutely nothing to do with Tamago/Hiyoko and getting it setup and working right. The other is in configuring ini files. That issue, again IMO is where newbies just don't read up on what they should do and figure stuff out on their own. Yet another example of the Plug & Play Crowd.

Of course there is now the non-MBP path which makes it (somewhat) easier, and then you're just left with choices of add-ons.

Posted

Ok. I tried editing their posts a bit. I wasn't aware of those things.

Introduction to the TamaHiyo

In general, TamagoClub roughly refers to a set of mods (which also includes HiyokoClub) that simulates the female reproduction system in the world of Oblivion.

Or, more specifically, TamagoClub refers to the core framework named "TamagoClub.esm" (like Lovers with PK.esm) that manages all the TamagoClub related mods.

It is a very systematic and delicately-customizable framework, so be prepared for a bit of reading. One does not simply plug & play Tamago/Hiyoko like a USB mouse!

In addition to reading the included documentation in each Tamago/Hiyoko core archive, you may want to read through this if you think you're lost now.

Requirements

Oblivion Script Extender - Always try to have the latest version.

In fact, this OBSE is the only thing that is technically required.

Others including Modular Beautiful People (MBP in short), Lovers Animated Penis Framework (LAPF in short), SetBody etc., should be stated in each plugin's own release thread.

What to install <1>: Absolutely-Must-Have

TamagoClub core, HiyokoClub core - Which are what this thread is for

Lovers Animated Penis Framework - This is (implicitly) required for Tamago/Hiyoko to work.

LoversTamagoClub.esp - This is the bridge between LAPF and Tamago system.

TamagoClub simulates the female reproduction system, that is, menstrual cycle, or getting pregnant, such things. ("tamago" means egg in Japanese)

HiyokoClub handles more practical things - giving birth. ("hiyoko" means chick in Japanese)

So if you don't have HiyokoClub, people can NOT give birth although they can get pregnant. No child is produced either. It's HiyokoClub's domain.

(HiyokoGenerator.esp in the HiyokoClub core pack is responsible for giving birth to NPC children)

(HiyokoGeneratorBroodMother does the same for the creature. HiyokoGeneratorCreature.esp is an outdated one)

What if you have both, but don't have LAPF? That's a problem too, because they can't have sexual intercourse although technically they are able to conceive.

In conclusion, you must have all three, unless you know what you are doing.

What to install <2>: Almost-Required

TamagoSetbody

This plugin does a very important thing - make pregnant NPC's look like they are pregnant.

You see, being pregnant does NOT necessarily mean they look like pregnant women (although they should), because this is a computer game.

TamagoSetbody changes it. Think about why you are installing this so-called Tamago/Hiyoko stuff in the first place.

Strictly speaking, however, this is still optional.

LoversHiyokoShooter

This plugin is important too. Being able to give birth or look like being pregnant does NOT necessarily mean they look like giving birth when they give birth. =P

HiyokoShooter fakes birth animation when a woman gives birth.

What to install <3>: Totally-Optional

TamagoNews - When NPC's etc get pregnant chime plays, etc.

TamagoEncounter - Generates NPC sex events reported by TamagoNews

TamagoTopic - Extra NPC's Topics (They will tell you about their menstrual state / pregnant state, etc)

TamagoBreak - With this plugin, certain events (such as being raped / overreaching yourself) could cause miscarriage.

TamagoBadEnd - Getting pregnant may lead you to a bad end.

TamagoDischarge - Fakes cum stained in your crotch, cum on your face, etc.

TamagoHuds - Displays your menstrual state on the screen.

TamagoFertilityClinic - Lets you manipulate your menstrual things.

HiyokoGenetics- - Become a mad scientist and experiment with your own children to "create" a powerful offspring.

HiyokoFutureDream - Normally the random-generated children aren't much fun to play with. This plugin changes their behavior, and makes them level-up.

You don't need to install any of these, while installing nothing may make your game a bit dull and flat.

I'll update the OP with this tomorrow.
