I'm wondering if a kind soul could help me. I'm not having any animations play with creatures that should have them. If you could tell me in what way i'm being dumb that would help greatly . Thank you!

You  are running Sexbound Reborn with an outdated Terato-scenes. Albeit this page is unrelated to both mods, i'll provide an answer...

Download the matching version for Reborn (The one with SxB in the name) from the Teratoscenes download page and you should be fine. Remember to remove the old one when adding the new one.

Edit: I was late! Well darn, LL is running awfully slow for me...

Hello. Fire Spookit's 1st actor fellatio is broken.  A few pixels of it's head is moving while the rest of the body isn't. Sorry for my English

Will take a look, though last i tested it all seemed fine. Nothing wrong with your english, the message was received.

Ah, indeed, the scalp of the monster moves and so does the genital, but not the body. Well shit!

Oh, i don't know if you're the same person from DIscord, but i did notice now, looking at these pictures, you have the body-mod whose name i forget... VENUS?

That mod in particular replaces the animation files of Sexbound, so many issues will arise from using it with modern Sexbound, as it was meant for like, 3.14 or something?

That's why i had asked for a log, many other mods can influence things and break them, while this is an error that occurs when you interact with monsters, i don't think the gleap is to blame there. Well, still waiting for a log if you want to share it, we may find more issues, and prevent them from troubling you in the future.

Is there any way at this point to configure the mod's Defeat to ONLY trigger when the player is defeated by a monster? (ideally, only ones covered by this mod) instead of universally for both players and enemies? I figure the more narrow the scope, the less things that can go wrong?

I haven't (in a while at least) and don't plan to offer custom Defeat code again, sorry. The TeratoDefeat module merely was a edit to make monsters have a chance to not be converted. As much as i have a open mind when it comes to modding, Defeat is a bowl of spaghetti and i lack the fork to even try to reach for it. I do not comprehend it's ins and outs, and anywhere in between.

Also, possible? Yes, always. Whether something is easy to do, however, is different.
Also, of note, Defeat needs to run on the monsters and NPCs anyway for them to even join the node AFAIK. Both sides of the logic must be present.

Overall, checking if a monster even has Sexbound settings before attempting to integrate with Defeat should be a logical step to whoever picks it up in the future, so if that ever happens, then it's pretty much guaranteed.

Yeah, I joined the thread just to ask about this. I understand though if it's a pain to make a change like that. I wish whomever decides to attempt it luck dealing with Defeat's codebase.

Addendum, The only thing that really bugs me is how difficult it is to kill a node early-game when I just want to farm for food/mob drops.
Defeat also, for some reason likes to sometimes spawn the node, then I kill it, and it becomes a node again (occasionally serveral times).

Yeah, personally, that's some of the most annoying crap.
Defeat not working properly? Eh, annoying, would be worse if we accidentally killed something, but capture pods should be priority over hoping Defeat will work.
But when you WANT to kill a monster, then you spend all your energy to quickly kill a node, then the Defeat triggers again, and again... Depths of insanity and wrath.

Truthfully, in theory, it shouldn't be too hard to get Defeat to recognize the damage type and if it's "hunting" damage, then skip Defeat entirely. Making bows and throwing spears/javelins be the best bet for hunting. But that's spit-balling, i took several looks at Defeat's code and every time i wonder how it even works properly 25% of the time.

Machineki doesn't interact with this robot-creature. Mb bug or it is defined as a female creature.

Yeah i imagined that would be a problem.

Bobot is defined as a "female-only" monster, as in the species is internally designated as female, but cannot be impregnated.

Might have to define it as futa and allow it to take the active role, as Sexbound Reborn doesn't have female-on-female content accounted for yet.

This mod is awesome! Thanks to everyone creating it. Due to the other mods I have installed even NPCs are able to breed with the monsters, which gives a whole another layer to this mod. Eagerly awaiting for new updates. I wish I could contribute but the only thing I could do is some pixel art (maybe one of these days I'll draw some, if I ever do I'll be sure to release them here for free use!)

Extra thanks to the person who put Smoglin in this mod, you're the best

question what mod did you use for npcs to be able to breed with monsters and does it work with sexbound reborn?

Hello! With the new update, some of the .lua's have changed- is there a way to, in the current update, ensure that all monsters are male/futa?

(And, while I'm at it, is there a way to, in Sexbound Reborn, set all female NPCs to futa?)

First one i can tell you how, but the latter is not related to this mod, and not nearly as easy.

This only works for Sexbound (Normal) and no Reborn, as Reborn had to figure out to put genders on the monsters before they are Sexbound-enabled, so they generate genders way before, anyway, in the scripts folder, there are scripts solely for defining a monster's gender, which are necessary since Sexbound by default does not include a way for there to be futa monsters. They should be pretty self-explanatory, and if you want to set a specific outcome always (Be aware that it's going to either be visually the same as male, or simply unsupported for female-only monsters) you can just change what value comes out of the function.

It's unfortunate that you can't do this for sexbound reborn, as I wouldn't like to give up some of the features reborn. Will there be any way to, in the future, change the gender like that? If not, I suppose I can live- or just downgrade to Sexbound Original.
Anyways, thanks for the quick response!
(Sidenote: I think I actually found how to change females to always be futa but haven't tested it. There's a little feature in one of the scripts that sets a 1 in 10 chance for an NPC with a female gender to be set as futa, and I just set that chance to 100%
EDIT: Nope, didn't work. Ah, well!)

EDIT 2: Hey! I found the place for monster code! And I can do it in Reborn! Hurray! In Sexbound Reborn/scripts/sexbound/override/monster.lua there is a little dealie that says "status.giveResource("gender", (math.random(1, 2)))"
So, naturally, I just very smoothly changed that pesky "math.random" to just "1" and now all of 'em show up how I want. Yippee!

EDIT 3: Only problem is that futa monsters now become incompatible due to being a gender they shouldn't be. I'll keep snooping around for a solution... For now, I guess I don't really need the bobot. I realize you also said that already. Oops!

I do have to ask though, if there are some monsters(like bobot) that must be female to be futa, is there a way to just have them be futa despite my little override? The function I changed was a 1 - 2 chance anyways, so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.

Anyways, thanks for your time!

Ultimately, if you want to change the possible genders of a monster, it's easier to go by every single monster and change the value at the bottom.

In the patches, "Gender" is a resource, meaning something like health or stun. You can change it's value, monsters that support both genders will have it at 0, then the 1-2 you saw above, and 3 for futanari (female-futanari). There isn't a override for male-herm yet, but maybe in the future, however with monsters, herm/futanari are pretty much genderless as there is no body-structure to refer to (And monsters don't have gender differences to begin with, for the most part.)

Actually I went back and looked at it, this works fine, the only problem I was having was that Bobot is only supported to be female. As far as I can tell(and I'm sure you know too), the code I changed(which was actually in Sexbound Reborn not the tera files) only goes off if the gender is 0. The patch for Bobot already has it at 2, and well, seeing as that literally everything else works... If it 'aint broke and all.

Both creatures should have both genders, though i do hear people get confused with female Smoglin's genitals...
