You could try overwriting the 'FNIS_SexLabAroused_Behavior.hkx' file from this version with the SSE Redux version. As far as I can tell the only real difference between SLAR and SLAX are the scripts so it should work.

I'm running extended in SSE and it works fine... it's a long time since I installed it, so I don't recall if I had to do anything special to make it work unfortunately. But at least take this as a statement that it can work in SSE (which is not as good as actual help, I know :( , but it's all I got).

If you read the first page, you will learn that SLSO' SLAR patch is not for SLAX.  SLAX has it integrated already.

When did I say I was using SLSO SLAR patch? But loading SLAX after SLSO fixed the problem.

This is a note for others with the same issue.

When SLSO conflict with any of the SLA\R variant is because of the SLAR patch.  It is called "Animation Appropriate Arousal" in SLSO, and is for SLAR 28v/29v.

 

The patch is already integrated in some form in SLAX and OSL Aroused.

 

Note from SLAX's developer in first page.

Spoiler

SLSO integration is built-in - SLSO is not required, this is a soft dependency.

Do NOT install the SLSO patch for SLA(R) over this - I believe it claims to be something to do with Animation Appropriate Arousal in the SLSO FOMOD.

If you install the SLA(R) SLSO patch onto SLAX, you will break SLAX completely.

Hey, I am using SLSO, letting SLAX and Sexlab Utility Plus overwrite it, as resommended here... Problem is, for some reason arousal always drops to zero after sex. No matter if anyone came or not, when the sex ends, everyone's arousal goes to zero...

It's probably a mod conflict i can't figure out... suggestions? Any help is appreciated!

Maybe the SLAX EDITS patch (8) could fix your problem.

 

  • Patches for SLAX
    • Overwrite SLAX,SLUP,SLSO
    • Why? Patching SLAX. If conflict with another mod, then overwrite also.  Should only be conflicting with SLSO, and maybe Radiant prostitution.
  • SLAX
    • Overwrites SLUP,SLSO
    • Why?: Because SLSO is patching old SLAR, SLAX already has the code.  SLUP should not conflict, but in case it does, do not let it overwrite SLAX. Radiant prostitution has a modification for old SLAR, do not let it overwrite SLAX.
  • Sexlab Utility Plus
    • Overwrites SLSO
    • Why?  SLUP has compatibility for the SLSO released before it. SLSO tries to modify Sexlab's orgasm events.
  • SLSO

 

Long, looooooong ago, there were some patches for this semi-abandoned mod. The community likes it, so there is hope for more maintenance patches.

Fuck Yeah! Thanks dude, that fixed it!  Fuck, spoke too soon, I forgot I had locked the npc's arousal.. dammit, arousal still goes to 0 after sex.
What about Abdulah's version of the scripts? should i install those aswell or does it not matter?

I do have that issues too, arousal set to 0 after end of animation, even my PC do not have orgasam~

Strange thing is it also reset the arousal after bathing animation too~ I do have BiS Tweaked.

I would love that because it is a big part of Devious Devices! Plugs and belts modify the PC and NPCs ActorRate to account for them running around with something rubbing them constantly.

Also now an old shriveled professor from the college has the same libido (gets just as exited) as a horny 18yo Nord dude/chick? golden years indeed...

Why skip over the patches given by alex77r4 on page 35? These are from September 2022 and seem far more up to date. Only thing that doesn't work is the exhibitionism stat.

run it through CAO -  Cathedral Asset Optimizer and it will  optimize the HKX files.  It sounds like you have the ones from LE

For whatever reason, my characters arousal is locked at 1 or 0 (I don't have arousal locked/blocked), I was trying out a new save with a few different mods and decided to revert back to my more standard setup. But now mine, and the npc's arousal are not moving. No idea what I messed up. It appears to be the timescale, it just resets to 0. I can go in and change it but it reverts back to 0. It did it on both SLAX and the Baka version.

I know OAroused is working but it has some drawbacks:
1 - Do not work with creatures
2 - Does not work in Legenday or VR
3 - Not having an automatic update and needing SLAM to do it.

 

I want a fast version that works with creatures in any version of the game and here it is.


This version of SLAX is based on the version published by Safado on 05/21/2022 with the following changes and corrections:

I have filled many empty properties on quests which caused the errors "Faction is none" and "Variable Tempxxx does not have the correct value".
I removed the DLL because it doesn't speed up the process and doesn't allow us to use the mod in Anniversary or VR.
I created an update system with a spell that processes all actors at once, using Papyrus Multi-Thread, so the total update time is basically the time it takes to process the slowest actor. In this way we can update the Arousal of 5 actors in less than 3 seconds, 10 actors need 5 to 7 seconds and 25 actors need around 25 seconds.

It is not instantaneous but it is a thousand times faster than the previous system.

This is Version 2 and I accept the recomendation from HexBolt8 to make a Dinamic Actor Rate.

The Actor Rate is linked to the Scan Rate. Is reduced as we increment the Scan Rate to solve the problem of Arousal skyrocket when increase the Scan Rate.

Also, I reduced the default update time in the MCM from 120 seconds to 15 seconds and set the lower limit to 5 second.

Find and solve a problem in the Exibitionist system because not work all. I put the simple and effective Exibitionist system from Redux.

Also, I find and solve a problem in the initialization of the actors that was causing 100% arousal over every NEW actor.

Install it by replacing your current version of Aroused, regardless of whether you're using SLAX or Redux.

It should work fine in Legenday, Special, Anniversary and VR because the DLL has been removed.

Can this version cause scripting overload?
Yes, of course... I'm casting a scripted spell on each actor. With 10 actors it's 10 simultaneous scripts, with 25 actors it's 25 simultaneous scripts.
But SSEDisplayTweaks never shows me the message "The virtual machine is overloaded" and the average script latency reported by Elephant is always below 100ms...

 

So can it REALLY cause scripting overload?
No. The scripting engine can execute that and much more without any problem.

I have copied ALL the code from slaFrameworkScr into sla_Process_eff_scr and that operation is against all programming rules because I have DUPLICATE code.

But it is the only way to make Papyrus Multi-Thread effective. If you want to know more, contact me.

I don't know if you changed anything midgame, but if you changed arousal mod midgame things can become really messed up. By timescale I assume you're talking about time rate in SLA, because I think the game's timescale only affects how often arousal updates happen. You should try a new game with your current setup and see how it works.

I know OAroused is working but it has some drawbacks:
1 - Do not work with creatures
2 - Does not work in Legenday or VR
3 - Not having an automatic update and needing SLAM to do it.

 

I want a fast version that works with creatures in any version of the game and here it is.


This version of SLAX is based on the version published by Safado on 05/21/2022 with the following changes and corrections:

I have filled many empty properties on quests which caused the errors "Faction is none" and "Variable Tempxxx does not have the correct value".
I removed the DLL because it doesn't speed up the process and doesn't allow us to use the mod in Anniversary or VR.
I created an update system with a spell that processes all actors at once, using Papyrus Multi-Thread, so the total update time is basically the time it takes to process the slowest actor. In this way we can update the Arousal of 5 actors in less than 3 seconds, 10 actors need 5 to 7 seconds and 25 actors need around 25 seconds.

It is not instantaneous but it is a thousand times faster than the previous system.

I am seriously confused, trying to use this in my own mod.

Currently, I am simply reading the slaArousal faction ranks, and sending slaExposureUpdate modevent.

I find that 90% of actors are not in the slaArousal faction... and PapyrusUtils file storage is broken. The 1st may be related to the 2nd. Am I using it wrong?

I don't understand why the slaArousal faction is so sparse... I'd have expected all sexlab valid actors to have this populated by default...

PapyrusUtil storage is broken because whenever you save and restore a game, it deletes data that relates to unloaded references. It meant to delete data that relates to non existent references, but it actually does not distinguish 'non existent' and 'temporarily not in RAM'. So... every time you go through a load door or fast travel, then save and reload, you loose data.

However, even with this PapyrusUtils problem, I'd still expect to find a default slArousal faction rank!

could be related to issues with the scanner in the unpatched version of the scripts, the scanner will only run if your current play session is your longest play session, so if that is not the case it will not find more NPCs to update the arousal for, and thus the number of characters that have the faction initialised would be much smaller than expected?

I made a patch a long time ago, there are other ones in the thread but mine changes the base mod as little as possible to get it working you can find it here.

Well, the part about SLAX not running updates is fixed; I am now getting consistent responses. The only thing though, is the lapse of time before it actually finds an actor and updates it... 120s is a long time in SR! and it doesn't find all actors in one go. It pains me to ignore these actors... so I am currently treating negative faction ranks as infinity... which brings its own distortions...

I see I could arrange to call GetActorExposure on all actors to make sure SLAX updates it promptly. I'm ok with that since I already have developed a framework to handle such things (like running code on every actor, which I use to manage gender preferences, redistribute body weights, adjust outfits, etc. Yes, my mod is invasive!).

Or should I consider another approach? Perhaps one that also fixes the Papyrus storage amnesia problem? Or one where I don't need to depend on a mod that needs patches?

If I stick with SLAX, I'd like permission to redistribute your patch along with my mod ...should it ever see the light of day...

In my games, I lower Cell Scan Frequency by a factor of 4 (to 30 seconds) and the same with Default Exposure Rate (to 0.5).  This does increase script load but scanning every 30 seconds is not that frequent.  (If it's a problem, lower both settings by a factor 2 rather than 4.)  Updating arousal at the default once every two minutes just doesn't work well.  Your naked or sexy-dressed character can be in & out of several buildings before NPCs even notice.  Reducing these two settings by the same factor allows for more frequent updates, so NPCs actually notice the PC and get aroused, without changing the overall rate of exposure gain over time.
