1) You're right, I can't get the color overlays to show up on my alien either. It's weird because they are set to allow aliens. I have to do some further investigation on that one.
2) That is an issue with the texture that has been fixed and will be shared soon!

Ok...this is how your penis mod is showing up in CAS.....This was working ok prior to the latest WW update....could have broken your CAS penis?

10. Repeat for any textures/files as necessary

It looks like there are a number of files that would need to be edited: 0-base, 1-stomach and legs, furry_fur_canine and furry_fur_feline. Some of the presets in the last two files already have color where that square is, so they're good to go, but a few don't. And for those ones you'll want to use the color picker tool to find the exact color of the stomach fur for a match.

As for the overlay affecting just the penis - I don't know which overlay you mean. Is it something of mine or something the other creator made?

Alright, I'll have to take a crack at it here in a sec! As for the overlays, I meant the ones you included that let you tint the balls, glans, both or the whole thing.

 

EDIT: Also, I'm either blind and/or stupid. Where is the guide you mentioned? ;~;

Okay, so, I'm trying out something now. Problem is, any time I try to add my own skin, it just shows up as solid black in-game, and I can't find any helpful guides to fix it. :T

 

EDIT: I'm a dumbhead who forgot to activate it as an option for males to use. That fixed the skin itself; don't really care about the busted thumbnail!

 

EDIT 2: Okay, I had 2 instances of the package in the folders, so that was causing problems. There's still a black seam I can't seem to get rid of and I can only make the knob pinker (may try to find the file and increase the opacity later), but all in all it blends in MUCH better now! Now Yuki's got a far better-looking dick to play with on her fuzzy hubby!

It looks like there's a black pair of underpants currently selected (top right thumbnail)? If not, and it should be showing a naked bottom, it's very strange that it's not showing either the WW penis or the RealGens one. If it was working before the update I don't know why it wouldn't work now. As a test, you could try removing your WW mod and launching the game and seeing if the penis shows up when you remove clothes. It will look broken because the rig won't be installed, but it should still show up. That would confirm if it's WW causing the issue.

Okay, sounds like you got it working? I'm not sure if you used the method I outlined or not, but if it's working that's great. What's wrong with the thumbnail?

The issue is coming from the arm fur. There are two of them I think, and the color on each extends down below the fingers on the UV map and overlaps the extra leg space where the penis textures are. You'd have to open those textures and remove those bits. You can use the overlay guide PNGs I attached earlier to see how much of the arm color you'd have to trim.

yes, it would have! I'll take a crack at another edit in a few and I'll post the results! The only reason i got as far as I did is because it turns out the tiger's skin had orange that went behind the other textures, and caused - funnily enough - a stripe on the genitals, lmao. So I sort of "reverse engineered" it and found the general area I needed.

Ah, it just shows up as solid black. I'll try clearing the cache again before I go back into the game (if I remember, lmao).

 

As for the overlay, basically what I want/plan to do is "extend" it to make more of the penis pink so it looks more like bare skin, rather than white on the shaft that it has now. but it's not a huge deal since TS4 has a kinda cartoony style overall, which is why this mod looks any decent among the other stuff as it is!

There is something wrong with the xml in your strap-on package. There's some mistake inside of it, and it also does not show up in the game.

Okay, I'm a HUGE dumb-dumb and didn't see that I had to do male/female thumbnails separately. Fixed that, and the cache clear fixed my preview when selecting the family so that's good too!

 

And the guide helped - it's pretty much seamless now, if not totally so! Also, found a nice aesthetic-y shirt that I'd totally wear IRL - so that's an added bonus, lmao.

 

 

Thanks for all the help! Really the only other things I could suggest would be a full penis-only overlay for people using non-human/abnormal skin colors to give them a bit more variety, and maybe a way to adjust the balls height. I got a shy tight pair so yeah.

Whoops! Something must have gone wrong when I last edited the file. Sorry about that.

I've uploaded a fixed version which is currently showing up in my game as a choosable strap-on through the WW menu. Thanks for pointing it out!

Hey, that looks great! Much better without the seam issues or the weird breaks in color. Cool you managed to get it figured out.

The penis-only overlay is a good idea (although it would fade out, like the current ones do, rather than stop at a hard line so it might not look entirely like a skin/fur divide). I'd love to be able to add sliders to adjust parts of the penis/balls, but last time I checked that out it wasn't possible. Maybe someday!

That sounds like it could possibly be another mod causing a problem. Both WW and my default file are basically setting a flag on the nude bottom to tell the game to consider that bottom the default body part for that gender. The game has that flag on the black boxers by default, but mods that tell it to use something else will override that behavior.

What I could see being a problem:
1) Another mod has that flag set and your game is reading it before mine or WW's (the game reads mods alphabetically or files in priority folders first).
2) Your game has somehow become damaged and is not reading our mods completely correctly. I don't know how likely this is or how often is happens, but I've seen people have to do "repair game" before to fix issues.
3) Our mods were damaged on install and need to be re-downloaded and installed.
4) There is a problem with the specific default of mine that you're using (but if that's the case, I don't know why the WW one isn't showing up either).
5) You don't have one of my CAS defaults installed (again, don't know why the WW one wouldn't be showing up).

If right now my RealGens penis and/or the WW penis aren't showing up when you strip a sim in CAS, those are my immediate guesses as to the problem. If you have other info about your mods/game that you think impact what's going on, let me know and maybe we can find a solution.

Idk if this has been brought to your attention but I've noticed that having a naked sim in CAS with the default CAS replacement makes the Sim have that same penis if you change to that naked outfit instead of their WW selected ones.
