I once again try my hand at making a story, this time it's going to be more of a (potentially) longer running thing with the aim of providing more backstory and characterization to some of my own most used sims and to give some more context to the normal types of picture stories (and occasionally videos) that I do, probably going to be somewhat mundane, everyday stuff, no overarching storyline that I can think of at the moment. 

 

I haven't really though of a name for this, it's pretty much all setup and very likely way too much text with nothing really exciting happening. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to continue straight on from the end of this one for a somewhat shoter part 2 (or part 1.5) or do a short timeskip to continue things, I'll see.

Really interesting! You should also try using FaceApp. I've actually used it to create an in-game art gallery with portraits of townies. It achieves a similar effect to Art Breeder with a less uncanney-valley factor (it also works with glasses!). I think it looks really good combined with your character portraits (Here's a sneak peak)

Odette Carrera (from Summertime Saga)

 

So a while back (must be a couple of months) I got a suggestion to try to make some sims based off characters from the VN game Summertime Saga, though I've tried the game and can honestly say it's not for me, I do still think that the characters in it are pretty decent for character concepts and traits to base sims on, so I've kind of been working on making some sims based off a couple of characters from that game since then, coming back to it every now and then and making edits. 

 

My sim based on the character Odette, is probably the one I've been working on the longest and done a number of changes to, most notably after I uploaded the WIP face I had for her, which I was not happy with, to Artbreeder, which spat out a very different face that I thought was much more interestng, so I made some edits to make her more closely resemble that Artbreeder image and eventually grew very happy with the results.

 

With the exception of the of the first everyday outfit which is loosely based on her game outfit, the rest is more or less me just going freeform, though as you can see with some of her tattoos, I also actually based some of her appearance (in terms of styling and clothing) on pornstar Katrina Jade (I got the tattoos from a sim version of her uploaded to LL), as I thought they had kind of  similarish look. 

 

As far as I know, she does not have a last name in th game, so her last name "Carrera" is actually just the randomly generated named I had on her ever since her early WIP days, whcih I eventually grew accustomed to, and with the edits I made to her face she actually kind of looks like she could be Spanish or Mexican or something I think, so I decided it works as well as anything else I might come up with. 

 

I based my sim's characterization on the game's wiki and some info I got from @TriggerBlade, who initially suggested doing the Summertime Saga characters as sims, and set up Odette as a pretty uninhibited party girl, who's also a trustfund baby, she's got the Clubber trait from Basemental Drugs and a whole host of reward and Wicked Attributes (see below), as well as Sexpertise skill at level 4. The trust fund thing and general irresponsible streak also made me think that the Oblivious custom trait by Kuttoe (linked below) fit, as I kind of liked the idea of rich, irresponsible, airhead Goth party girl, though I don't know exactly how accurate that is to her game portrayal.

Gracve and Eve (from Summertime Saga)

 

Here's another two sims based off characters from that game, it's Grace and Eve Rogers who are sisters. I finished them up at about the same time as Odette above and the process to actually finishing them was just as long and roundabout as with ther, and similar in that it involved a detour around Artbreeder for face edits and making custom tattoo sets for Grace. 

 

As I've been given to understand it, Grace and Eve's parents died in a car crash, leaving Grace to take on the role of guardian for her younger sister. Grace is a tattoo artist and used to be closer to the kind of party girl that Odette above is, but has taken on a much more responsible cast from running her own business and raising her sister. With Eve you've actually got a choice at some point in the game to decide if you want her to be pre-op male to female trans (and thus have a penis) or simply have a scar on her abdomen from the car crash that killed her and Grace's parents. I've decided to more or less take the same route of allowing whoever grabs this to choose that for themselves, though since I don't have scar on my version on Eve I guess my simple solution here is that she's simply post-op trans rather than pre-op, though if you want to go the game's route, that's as simple as just choosing "yes" to "does this sim have a penis" in CAS, I think. 

 

Again I chose their skills and traits, both normal and reward/Parenthood, based on information fed to me via PM and what I could read on the wiki. Grace is Responsible, but has Uncontrolled Emotions, she's got autonomy for most drugs, but at low level to reflect her moving on from her past, she also has Social Smoker since I thought that fit for the whole "party girl" thing, based on a post above it seems she should also have the Polyamorous Wicked Attribute, she's got naturism at skill level 3, but does not have the Exhibtionist trait. Eve has the Mediator trait from being supposedly good at doing just that, mending bad relationships and misunderstandings between people, like her sister she's got the Uncontrolled Emotions trait, and she's also Irresponsible as she supposedly shows a bit poor judgement at times in the game as regards personal concerns. Grace's skills are basically set by the requirements of her career, as well as having high charisma, dancing and decent mixology skill from her past "party girl self", Eve's got very high skill levels in singing, gaming and painting for someone who's only 18, but doesn't have much in the way of other skills.

I'll consider this. Seeing as my current plan for continuing with my world is to incorporate Britechester and my university student sims and expand on that, it might make sense to add some faculty as well as more students (particularly I need more male students to even things out a bit, though realistically I should have a somewhat higher proportion of female to male students overall of course), so that Ms. Bissette character might do the trick. As for Mia she might also be neat to do I guess, in which case I'll probably do her family as well, seeing as her dad is a police officer if I'm reading the wiki right, might be good to add another police officer to the mix in my world who isn't completely corrupt (as my current 3 NPC cops more or less are).

Preliminary version of that character that was requested, Mia. Good enough to save and come back to for further edits at least. At the moment she's just a kind of cute brunette girl. At the very least I'm probably going to try to find an alternative to that nose overlay, I've used it for too many of my sims.

You don't need Wicked Whims (the sex mod) to use any of my sims, or any sims made by any other sim creator for that matter, all the mod does is add sex and related mechanics. You might get a notifcation for "missing CAS items have been removed" or something like that when loading the sims into CAS or into your world, but in that case it will only be stuff you don't want, so it should be no big deal. 

 

I also make sure that WW is not included in the archives I upload, and I generally don't include stuff like nude body details or body parts either, both to leave that up to people who download my sims and to make sure I don't package potentially out of date pieces of CC/mods. 

 

In short, yes, you'll be fine.

I'm probably going to still let her remain WIP for a while to make sure I'm happy with how she looks, so it's most likely going ot be a while before I upload this one, and I've got some other things I want to get around to as a priority. Getting back to working on my world for one.

yeah, i see that's but when a take that's sims, the trait is not here however i got the mod basemental. I got the same problem with Maryam 3rd trait, Chuck Larrea 3rd trait, Veronica 2nd trait, Mimi Landgraab 1st trait, ..., it's the ADHD trait for all ?
