So in addition to my ongoing process of reuploading all my sims and households I've put together or started puttin together some more Maxis sims makeovers ala the ones I did for the Goth family and the Caliente housheold a while back. Those will probably be coming up next now, this includes a new version of Bella Goth that I kind of stumbled into off another sim I had in my library and which I'm now incorporating into a new version of my Goth family makoever. I'll probably leave the old post and archive be for now and instead upload the new Bella and Goth family as a new separate download.

 

   

 

I've got slight updates coming in for the Caliente household, most notably I have switched out Nina's hair, as she was using the same one as Emily. In addition to that I've got WIPs going for the Landgraab family (including Johhny Zest), the Pleasant family (from Sims 2 and Discover University) and Kaylynn Langerak (an NPC maid from Sims 2 who is romantically involved with with Don Lothario and Daniel Pleasant). 

 

Lastly and perhaps of premium interest, since I know many people have been requesting this for a while, I think that completing this group of Maxis sim makeovers will give me a good fondation to build a world as a save game that I can upload here. The initial version would just consist of those madeover Maxis sims (likely with most other NPC sims removed from the game, with the exception of at least Windenburg sims for now, to prevent the game from generating random clubs and assigning sims to them) with relations and such established between them, but I'd go on to add in my other sims over time as I continue my updating and reuploading process.

Bella Goth

   

 

Or rather Bella Bachelor, as that's her name from before she married Mortimer Goth. This is a description for a standalone archive I'm doing for my new version of Bella, and I figured it'd be appropriate to then name her and present her as single, before she married. 

 

I stumbled into this new version of Bella from a sim I had in my library and wasn't quite sure what to do with, until I tried out some hairs and outfits and settled on replacing my old Bella Goth, created from genetics off my Cassandra Goth sim. I'm quite happy with the result actually. 

 

I kind of based her on a grab-bag from the Sims fan wiki, like I've done with my other Maxis sim makeovers, where I've mostly pulled from the older games where it seems that sims' stories, relationships and personalities were better established.

 

Based on accounts from one of the games of her having married Mortimer for money and not love, I changed out her Family Oriented trait for materialistic, and also gave her the Sugar Baby reward trait from Ksuihuh's Sugar Life mod. Still building a bit on the former and drawing from a seeming history of being unemployed across most of the games I also gave her the Irresponsible reward trait from Parenthood, she also has the Compassionate trait from the same pack to reflect her generally being regarded as a good and friendly neighbor. 

 

I also added a bit more freely, though also based on her being a bit of a sim celebrity, having appeared in promotional materials and on TV shows and decor items across the various games, I've set her up with 1 fame level and at rank 2 in the acting career with an aspiration to become famous.

Anyway, new Goth family coming up in not too long. In the meantime I noticed that I had forgot to put in the CC credits for Bella above, also that she had a random ring on her in the swimwear outfit, which I removed. So reuploading to fix that tiny mistake.

Goth Family

 

 

I already reuploaded the old version of this family, but seeing as I ended up with this new version of Bella it felt appropriate to revisit and redo the family to incporporate her into it. With the exception of Cassandra, who is still a young adult (set so she's supposed to have just aged up), this version is a bit closer to the vanilla Sims 4 version of the family. Mortimer is an adult, but well along the way to becoming an elder, while Bella is still a young adult as well, but older than the single version of her detailed above. She's got some higher skill levels and a couple of other smaller changes as well, and no longer works. More info on her, most of which is valid here as well, is found in the post about her above. 

 

Mortimer now has a degree, in biology, from the University of Britechester and in line with his renaissance sim aspiration I've skilled him up and had him achieve rank 5/6 in the Scientist, Writer and Business careers. He's currently still in the last one and he's very close to completing his aspiration. To go along with Bella's Sugar Baby trait, Mortimer has the correspondin Sugar Daddy trait from Ksuihuh's Sugar Life mod, and going along with the description on the wiki of Bella marrying Mortimer for his money, I've imagined that this is how they initially met. 

 

As I detailed in the description post for the old version of the Goth family, this Cassandra is the result of me essentially having imposed a sim I had already started creating and turned up really happy with onto her (a sim that I created using @IGI 2000's Gina Valentina sim as a base). In this new version of the household, Cassandra is not Bella's daughter, but is rather Mortimer's daughter from some prior unspecified relationship. A number of small changes to her, she uses a different navel piercing, has the tongue piercing I've made and I changed her to wear glasses with most of her outfits (like in the vanilla version) 

 

 

I earlier said I imagined that she developed kind of "bad" or rebellious streak as she got older and got tattoos and piercings and stuff like that, I guess I could now imagine that streak as perhaps being influenced by her father marrying a woman not that much older than Cassandra herself and some sort of resentment acting out against her parental figures. I've still got her in Midnite's Nightclub career, but when I do the world/save game with the Maxis sims I think I'll probably enroll her in University and possibly set her up as an employee in a WW strip club. 

 

NOTE: The archive, which is split into 2 parts, contains two sets of tray files one of which includes the whole family and requires the CC from the Bella Goth download in addition to this one to work, the other household is just Cassandra by herself, almost all of the CC in this archive is for her. 

 

ANOTHER NOTE: I am leaving the old version of the family up for now. The archive with this new version of the family has, appropriately, been marked "NEW", so download that and not the ones simply titled "Goth Family".

 

Update 7/9/2020: Bella now has the High Maintenance custom trait by Kuttoe, while Moritmer and Cassandra have the Daydreamer trait by the same creator. It's noted and linked below. You'll have to download this separately, as sticking this in with the download risks including outdated versions. I've reuploaded the "Extended Goth Family" archive to include the new tray file, the other ones (Bella alone and main Goth family, still have the old tray files, but include the necessary CC)

This is an addition adding extended family members to the Goth family. They're Mortimer's parents Gunther and Cornelia, Corenelia's mean and bitter sister Agnes Crumplebottom and Bella Goth's older brother Michael Bachelor. All of these guys are dead in the Sims 2 iteration, and in my world I'll likely have Gunther and Cornelia be dead (and ghosts) but have Michael Bachelor and Agnes Crumblebottom alive, though Agnes is going to be very old and. With the exception of Michael, they're all pretty basic in terms of how they are set up with outfit, almost all the CC used is for Michael Bachelor. 

 

UPDATE 4/20/20: I've reuploaded the extended Goth family. No CC changes, but I've chagned around Michael Bachelor quite a bit. I was setting up his house in Oasis Springs and I kind of got the idea that a fun thing for him would be that since he's wealthy, given where he's living and such that he (instead of being a lawyer as I had him set up as) got wealthy as a start up entrepreneur, sold his company and now sort of kicks back enjoying his wealth, a decent level of fame and his relationship with Dina Caliente. He's now a level 3 celebrity, has developed an app (might carry over, dunno), is at level 8 of the tech-guru career, has a degree in computer science from Foxbury and has high programming and charisma skills in addition to a number of reward traits. 

 

Another change I've made (only implemented in the extended Goth family household at the moment) is use MCCC to set Bella as Cassandra's mother (which also makes her Michael's niece), something I couldn't do in CAS since they are both young adults. This is to reflect that while in my version she is not her biological mother, she is still her mother in a sort of legal sense, also becaue it establishes Michael as Cassandra's uncle. 

 

The archive contains an extended Goth family and requires the CC for both Bella Goth and the main Goth family to work properly.

A bit of a preview of the other Maxis sim makeovers/reimaginings I've got in progress. All of these are based around or created using an unused or unfinished sim I had in library and figured I could use as a base to make remake these sims. 

 

Pleasant Family

 

Landgraab Family (including Johnny Zest)

 

Kaylynn Langerak

 

Having read a bit on the wiki, as that's where I've grabbed much of the characterization and such I've based these sims on, especially from the older games, it seems I should also probably try to make the Broke and Dreamer families from Sims 2, as that essentially rounds out the families in the Pleasantview (I think) neighborhood of that game. Am I forgetting someone who fits in with these families?

 

I'm thinking of putting all of this down in Oasis Springs in my save/world and possibly also transplanting the Goths from Willow Creek (and other worlds) to there. Leaving Willow Creek alone (and probably empty) for now until I begin to fill in my own sims.

Regarding The Sims 2 families, I would consider the Burbs as well (Jennifer is Daniel Pleasant’s sister)

Thank you! As for the Burbs, I was made aware of them by PM earlier actually, so I threw together a quick version of them as well. John was created (again) using one of my idle library sims, and while I created Jennifer off Daniel using genetics, I made her look pretty different in terms of coloration and some edits, as that seems to have been a thing in the games as well, with them looking very different like that. 

 

 

EDIT:

While I'm continuing to work on my other ongoing Maxis makeovers, I'll probably be able to reupload slightly updated versions of the Caliente sisters and Don Lothario today. Notably I've changed Nina's hair and Dina's tattoo as you can see in the below picture.

 

 

When I first made those sims (Don Lothario and the Calientes), I took a bunch of pictures for the description posts, I'll probably need to do those again, but I'll probably cut back on the number for now to save time (and I can get more again in the future when I actually put together the world save and posts describing it, I've been thinking a bit about how I want to do it).

Don Lothario has now been updated and reuploaded! I made changes to his face, so he looks a little different than before and also now has dark blue-grey eyes rather than brown. I redid the pictures in the post describing him to show the new version. CC used is unchanged.

That depends. As an example, Brandi Broke is the daughter of Bob and Betty Newbie. They're ghosts in the Sims 2, but they were alive in the first game and in the Sims 3 they were teenagers (and among my favorite pre-mades). Skip Broke is Brandi's dead husband, but he's a child in 3 and part of a big family.

If you were to look at the previous games as a huge connected universe and tried to include every noteworthy premade, you'd end up with hundreds of them.

I really like premades, if anything their stories inspire me when I'm out of ideas. Veronaville immediately comes to mind as a soap opera drama clusterfuck that's always fun to play out!

Oh yeah, I've got to limit myself. I think I'm gonna have enough for this first "release" with my reimagined Maxis sims with the household I've already figured I'd do (Pleasant, Goth, Caliente, Don Lothario, Dreamer, Broke as well as Landgraab, who don't quite fit into that, but why not?). Kaylynn is gonna be an NPC maid, but looking at it I think I'm going to throw in NPC sims in that world as I get sims who more or less fit the part, and I'm going to put less "effort" into giving them lots of outfits than my other sims I think. Probably going to do NPCs in groups of 2-3, so I'm thinking I should get one more maid to go along with Kaylynn. 

 

As I said I think booting it off with these Maxis sims and the relationships between them is an interesting way to start, then I can start adding in my own sims as I go along. Probably working thematically, such as putting down the strip club and associated sims, Owen Rockwell, his mansion and all the AEP sims, University sims, and so on, setting up relationships and such as appropriate.

Caliente sisters have now been updated and reuploaded! Outfit and (small) body and skin detail changes to both girls. Nina has a different hairstyle than before, Dina has a new lower back tattoo and her old tattoo has been replaced. Nina now has the academic ambition and Dina has the Sugar Baby trait from Ksuihuh's mod. I've redone and uploaded new pictures to the post describing them, showing of the new versions.

My guess is you're missing the skin details, default skins, ey ecolors and custom sliders from the shared CC folder, you need that for any of my sims, as I package a bunch of stuff in that one that I don't include with the individual sims. Without out those the sims will not look like they should.

I did struggle figuring out which eye replacement you use, did you use a default replacement or non defaults for your sims? Specifically Fiona, she doesn't seem to be getting her green eyes with default replacements installed so idk whats up there

 

Also which version of the heavy boob slider you use though. The download has the core slider but it made the breasts of Thalia Jordan look abnormally massive. The extra slider also included a smaller and larger versions of the slider, small apparently being the first version so i used that and it looks like the photo i included. It seems somewhat accurate but i'm not sure which version did you used. Did you use the small slider or core version?

 

A few other other slider variants i was wondering about include the chest slider here http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=613112 , and the butt slider here http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=611940

There seems to be to versions of both, Did you use the chest slider that includes the depth or just width, and did you use the butt slider that includes shape or just the one with height? clearing that up would be helpful.

Huh. That core slider should be the one I use, which is the old heavy boob slider replacement, it's from before the sliders came in different versons, and I think it corresponds the most to the new small one. 

 

As for the eyes, she's using non-defaults, they should be included in the shared CC I included. Maybe you removed that? They're the non-defaults of Praline Sims's eyes No. 155. 

 

For the other sliders, again the specific sliders I use are included in the shared CC folder. Specifically there I'm pretty sure I only have the butt height slider (might have a look at that shape slider as well now that I see it), but I have both width and depth for the chest. Again the sliders are included in the shared CC.

Thank you I'm working on getting it done actually. I will most likely put it up as a separate download from this one and work to upload it over time. Likely making posts, like in this thread, detailing the additions. That also allows me to list what sims and such are necessary to download as well. It'll also include a number of lots I'm putting together for this (often using gallery lots as a base). I probably won't upload those separately, but I will include the CC I use for those in each update.

Do you plan to share an update for Maryam, eventually? I have seen in the last pictures you put of her, some things were different, like the nose color. Maybe a different skin overlay?

@RedThirst I'm sort of in the middle of uploading updated versions of all my sims, so that includes Maryam as well. Currently progress towards that end is sort of paused to get this world with the Maxis sims set up, as it's proving to be a fun project.

So this sim got a little bit delayed due to me being sick for the almost the entirety of last week. But better late than never I say. 

This girl is one I put together when messing around in CAS a while ago, and finished up in terms of outfits and such rather recently think she turned out pretty well. Haven't thought too much about her story (so I might expand on this one later), but I've put a few things down, mainly that she comes from a pretty wealthy family, possibly from overseas, and she essentially lives off the family fortune as well as being somewhat of a rising social media celebrity. I think she'd fit in being part of Lauren and Sabrina's circle of friends perhaps. For her fame level, rather than cheat it up a couple of levels, I basically just queued up a bajillion instances of the "add to Simstagram timeline" interaction to lever her up to fame level 2, so she has a couple of thousand followers on Simstagram from doing that. She's also set up with a custom "trust fund career" where she "works" 1 hour a week to get a lump sum of money by going to the bank.
