Nalebranc Posted February 5, 2020 Share Posted February 5, 2020 Hello. I've been a big fan of yours for quite a while in the looks of your sims. Ran a few of games utilizing them. The latest game I'm playing, I have the McFaddens (my personal sim married Cody), the Jordans, Tracy Muller, Alexis Vinter, and a few others. Most of the sims have aged up a level or close to it. If I were to use the reuploads of these sims with the updated wardrobes, traits, and careers, will that negatively affect those sims? Like being recognized as new sims, thus changing relationships, or change current careers to reflect the uploads? Thalia Jordan would be the most changed and I didn't want to use her reupload if that will basically erase her current incarnation in my game. But I'm concerned about the other sims, too. Don't need to suddenly find my sim a single father of triplets and have to remarry Cody, haha. 1 Link to comment

Sims placed in the world are never affected if you edit the household they came from in the library, you have to either edit them in the world as is or use MCC's paste tray sim function to apply to them any changes that have been made in CAS outside of that specific save. 2 Link to comment

Okay, so if I download the updated sims, their versions in my game won't be affected. I can go into CAS for those individuals and match them to the updates, like clothing or tattoos. But I can't change Cody McFadden's eyes to green or her sister Natalie's body shape to match the updates. And the careers I could just roleplay in my game. Alright, I should be good then. Cody's eyes you could change pretty easily by entering the cheat "cas.fulleditmode on" and edting the household she's in in CAS, just be careful to edit appearance only and leave family relations and other stuff alone (if you tinker with those I'm pretty sure her family relations outside of her household would be reset, here an alternative is using the MCC command to "modify sim in CAS" with that cheat active as that allows you to edit a single sim in CAS without accessing the whole household). if you're using the non-defaults that I packed in with the shared CC you should be able to match them up relatively easily by just looking at the portrait picture in the post. Natalie is going to be harder, but as I said an alternative would be using the option in MCC to "paste tray sim" which can copy a tray sim's apperance (also name and traits if desired) onto a world sim. Should work, if you're unsure how to do that there should probably be a description on deaderpool's site and possibly someone may even have written a guide or made a video guide on how to do it. Alice has been WIP for a time now, though I nailed down the essentials with her quite early. Basically I still wanted more sims to put into university for whenever I might get around to play that (lol), and I wanted someone who kind of looks sweet and unassuming mostly. I think I kind of got that with her and I also ended up giving her the general clothing style (and basically copy-paste of a couple of outfits) of an earlier sim of mine who was based on a character from the game Life is Strange. I like what I ended up with with Alice. For my game I want to put her in Foxbury, but like most all of my newer University sims I've left her unenrolled and left that choice to you (also so you can put her in university housing if you want). Alice is sweet and genuine and wants to do well as a student, but is also generally a bit undecided on exactly what it is she wants to do well at, being prone to lose focus at times and wanting to do other stuff and be other places than is currently the case. She enjoys music, and has basic skills playing the guitar, she also likes concerts and going to music festivals with her new friends from college where she can see her favorite bands and performers and let a bit loose. And most of the the old sims have been updated in various ways. There is no way to download all in one archive, that archive would be way too big to upload. Best advice is to pick a couple of items you want at a time and get them, and then if you want get some more later. 2 Link to comment

Bigger change here is the addition of a family of sims (mostly) generated off her that I've put up as a separate archive. Some details on the family below. I've been a little busy but here's a sim I'd been posting some pictures of for the last couple of weeks. She's a pretty extensive makeover of one of my older sims, the only real holdovers are skin, eye and hair color, most other facets of her appearance I've modified quite a bit. It's quite the improvement over the old version I uploaded long ago if I may say so myself. Like Alice form last week, this is another sim where I've decided to put them into Foxbury, as opposed to many of the earlier sort of Britechester-themed sims I've put up earlier (cheerleaders), I've even begun putting together a dorm lot that I think is coming together pretty well (well I'm doing the dorm rooms and remodelling the interior of a lot I found on the gallery, probably won't upload my changed version). Like Alice above, Samantha is sort of a sweet girl, who's interested in making friends in new places, she's got an interests in sports, but being somewhat of a klutz she's more suited (and comfortable) with the part of a spectator rather than a participant. But now I think I've finished them up and am reasonably happy with them, even though they're not the most detailed I've got in terms of characterization, more sims is always good. The family is made up of parents Clara and Brian. They had kids when they were pretty young, but still managed to finish their education, even though Brian ended up being a mostly stay-at-home dad when the kids kept coming in the years to follow, though he eventually began working as a teacher when he had more free time. Clara meanwhile is a scientist with a degree in physics. They are pretty different, but very close all the same, both having the completed the soulmate aspiration and received the associated trait. In general Brian's traits and personality have rubbed off on the kids to a greater extent than Clara's, with alot of them having his bro trait and other lesser or greater similarities. Tanya is their oldest kid and followed in her parents' footsteps in getting married and having children at a young age herself, so her husband Chris and son Tim are also included in her. The others range from 19 to 22 years, and are all supposed to be college students, Samantha being in the middle of this group. Russel is one of my older sims that I had had lying around unused for a long while and thought I could use here because he kind of had a similar look to other members of the family, I originally had him in a college football career, but I think the mod for that is outdated so I left it out for now. Another thing I'm thinking of doing here, but can't really do with these uploads anyway because of household limits, is to have Brian McPherson be the brother of Jason McFadden's mother Karen, because I think they look sort of similar and doing more with extended families is neat. Her eyes somehow got fucked up in the course of editing and shaping them, kind of the same thing as happened with Lauren, I think there's something up with that particular eye preset (Samantha and Lauren have the same eye preset) and editing it a bit too much maybe. Anyway I don't really mind how it looks, I guess you could shrug it off by saying it adds a bit of character, but she is going to look somewhat cross-eyed/lazy-eyed from time to time 4 Link to comment
