pskaax Posted July 28, 2019 Posted July 28, 2019 My problem is as follows:  I can browse non-HDT hairs in Racemenu without problems, but HDT hairs first slow and very soon crash the game, especially the great HDT hairs recently released by Dint999.  Googling the problem I know it's memory related. The search also showed some solutions I've tried without success.  Closing Racemenu after some browsing and then restarting it to release memory doesn't help because the crash happens so soon.  I've also tried setting UseOSAllocators=1 to 0 using this mod, but it only slightly increased the time before crash.  Any suggestions how to fix this are welcome!  Â

I would check the mods' Support Thread and reload the mods if there is no mention of a problem on the threads.

I used to have no problem with browsing hairs, even when I had 1000+ to choose, but at one point the problem suddenly started. It *might* have been around the same time as I installed the ENB. And with Dint999's new hairs, the problem grew worse.

Anyway, it is a good scientific hypothesis in that it can be tested.
GenioMaestro Posted July 29, 2019 Posted July 29, 2019 Have you installed ShowRaceMenu Precache Killer???

If you can then get to the hairs without crash you know that the ENB was the issue, if not then we'll have to look elsewhere. 1

Thanks once more!
pskaax Posted July 31, 2019 Author Posted July 31, 2019 First I tried the easy way and just switched ENB off by Shift+F12. Didn't help. Â Gotta try the hard way and start checking the hair mods. Â I don't know why, but the crashes don't create Papyus logs ?

Try disabling the ENB in your load order and reload the HDT hair files. 1
pskaax Posted September 28, 2019 Author Posted September 28, 2019 MO1 suddenly unchecked all my mods and sorted them alphabetically, so I had to recreate my loadorder (of course I didn't have a backup ?). Removed excess mods as I did this, and now this problem with HDT hairs isn't as bad as before, but still exists. I can browse several HDT hairs in Racemenu before crashing, but they appear wonky, with strands of hair stuck in one place and stretching infinitely if I move.

It sounds like you are missing something or it's not installed/working correctly and this isn't just a memory issue. Go over your installation again to see if you missed something. You need XPMSE with HDT Physics Extensions support otherwise the hdt hairs won't work. Not sure, but you might need to run FNIS again as well.

I removed several mods with totaly full HD. MO cannot write new modlist and plugins and leave it empty. From now I will always make backups or move profile on another HD.  Â

̖̪. Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Dint999 Hair have also Equippable Hair if You have problems... - i don't have problems with his hair so i use it to get DOUBLE COLOR HAIR !...  Use AddItemMenu and Equip hair :o Your default Hair should disappear and Dint Hair should show  By defaul its White Color, open Your SHOWRACEMENU and change color You can also change Hair style so You will have 2 hair styles at once    If You have ENB try to switch BUSY RENDER option, it may help with Dint Hair... like much Dint is good with HDT i think that much he is bad at making Mods...  also You can limit FPS to 10 or 20 while browsing hair styles  his HDT is pretty good ( but, rotate Your character by 180 degrees and Hair become crazy xD ) 1

I will try your other suggestions once I have more time in my hands. Thanks!
jesskuh Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Hi, I'm sorry to necro this thread but has anyone confirmed what the solution may be to this? Â I have Racemenu 3.4.5, pre-cache killer, with HDT and non-HDT hairs, the latest XPMSE skeleton, the latest SKSE, the SKSE memory patch and Snapdragon ENB on ModOrganizer v1.3.11. I run a i-4790k, 1070 and 16GB of RAM. I CTD when browsing HDT hairs in Racemenu (Oldrim) and also when successfully loading a hair choice and upon closing out of Racemenu. This began happening only after I installed Dint999's KS-SG-HG Hairs. YunDao's work's fine. Even the non-HDT hairs bring me to CTD eventually. No noticeable pattern thus far. I realized on my performance monitor that my GPU maxes out during the CTD but I'm not sure what else I can check. Could someone elaborate on this or suggest the appropriate memory tweak settings for my setup since I may not have configured it properly? Â Thank you...

Lanewin120 Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 Solution is ENBoost. But don't know how to fix it in SE

Strange, I have more than 1000 hairstyles and many of them with HDT - and never CTD
