However I still believe the latest version of Nature of the Wild Lands will not work well with Seasons of Skyrim.

 

It doesn't have snowy versions for most of it's trees.

 

Version 1.21 IS compatible with SoS.

I'm going to look into trees further myself and maybe try to create some Frankentree mod with snowy pines from another source (like happy little trees maybe), but this is probably outside of the scope of this thread.

 

For now maybe you have to compromise with the 1.21 version

Yep. thats why i have added optional mods to get lower requirements (aka more FPS). People just have to use them. ;)

Sadly there's afaik no working mod doing that. Whenever i see imperials i think of the lost roman legions. One must have found a way into Tamriel.

 

I think it was just lazy from Bethesda to simply copy a historic design.

It is. A lot of suggestions were included in the SSE version and i want to keep that for SAE as well. Nobody is perfect, and i make mistakes too. ;)

 

Already updated for the next upcoming sheet.

Working on 'AutoBody AE - Configurable Randomized Bodies'. This will make the creation of bodyslides so much easier as armors only need a zeroed preset to be used in the game.

 

So far '3BA presets and Autobody configs' seems to be a good preselection for it.

And if your playing on a pile of mashed potatoes, that same mod page now has a 1K version.  I imagine 1K textures for something like mountains would look pretty bad though, at least if your at all close to the mountain texture your viewing.

I totally agree. Big structures/objects should at least have 2K.

My recommendation would be:

Mountains/Rocks         : 2K (Mountaineers 4K)

Landscape                    : 2K

Armor/Weapons          : 4K

Skin                              : 4K+

Architecture                 : 2K+

Small objects               : 1K- (depends on size)

Generally it is a good idea to have a better resolution for things you constantly see or get close to. Armors, weapons and skin are constantly visible so a higher resolution is advisable. On the other hand it makes no sense to use 4K for coins. Negligable effect for something of this size.

I mean. I downloaded and installed simply realistic armour, yet it does not replace imperial armour. It still uses the vanilla version

I'm having the same issue with the trees as @SzForsaidh.

 

@Wapoww Mine is being replaced. Are you choosing the armor mods as the winner of conflicts in Bodyslide? Also I think if you're using Aylis's premade bodyslide files you may have to reinstall the armor mod. I had to do that for Realistic Armor when we were using that one.

Also i'll try to get hold of Nys so we'll hopefully get a patch for Karthspire (for now i added a warning to the mod).

The armors are a PITA! To cover everything it requires way too many mods.

I try to find a way to cut that number down. Right now they need seven ESP which is way too much for my liking.

 

The predone bodyslides are already reworked. Once i have the final setup they will be uploaded again.

Finally got 'Wrye Bash' working (no idea why it didn't before). This will make a lot of room by flagging mods as ESL.

Release 'Skyrim AE for Beginners 0.9.2 (3BA/HIMBO/Seasons)'

This was more work than expected as i had to go through it several times. I'm just glad that this is done (for now). ;)

 

Armors have been completely reworked and finally cover all armors (and no mismatch anymore).

Predone bodyslides are still a WIP (still tweaking and testing a few things for the body)

Added 'Skyrim Extended Cut - Saints and Seducers'. This looks fantastic and i hope we see more of this project soon.

Added comments for the mods that can be flagged as an ESL. Which you should do asap!

I'm getting a CTD in Bleak Falls Barrow right after grabbing the golden claw in the first room with draugr. Google says it's been a documented problem with SMIM, but I've never had that issue until now. Anybody else? Super weird.

 

Edit - Doesn't crash on a new game file. Very odd.

Nah, I can pick the claw up fine. I just TCL'ed through the dungeon and avoided the CTD.

 

I am having the problem @Wapoww was having though in that my armors are not switching to the replacers. I remember back in the day we'd have to run Bodyslide and then reinstall the mod, but I'm guessing that shouldn't be necessary now.

Sorry for the dumb question, but are you using AE or SE? Does Creature framework and MNC works in AE?

@sweetrollskiwi Not a dumb question. I'm using AE, and all newer versions work with it.

 

Edit - I guess the armor issue I was having was because it was an existing save. Had a lot of naked guards standing around too but it seems okay with a new one.

@Rey_Vegeta I'd go 4k. I'm using a 3080 also.

 

Alright, spoke too soon. I think the armors from Realistic are returning to vanilla after Bodyslide is run. All the other armor replacer mods are fine. I can spawn them through the console, but it's not replacing them. Why in the **** did the author not use the same path as default like every other modder out there?

1a) I see you are using Conditional Expressions - Subtle Face Animations and Conditional Expressions for NPCs. What do you think about Conditional Expressions Extended 1.3.13? I am not sure how it would be performance wise. It does have a "CE for NPCs 1.2 fatigue patch" for Conditional Expressions for NPCs.

 

1b) And on that subject, there is Waifu Expression Redux (With High Poly Head Support) as an allegedly more "expressive" replacement for Expressive Female Animation.

 

2) Also, on the Ryn mods, any reason you did not choose Ryn's Farms, the all-in-one version of the Farm mods? Compatibility issue I assume.

Think I finally figured out a good way to get the armor replacers to play nice with bodyslide. If you do a batch build on Realistic Armor or Vanilla Armor Replacer with CBBE Vanilla Outfits enabled, CBBE is going to take priority over the replacer meshes because for some reason the author doesn't use the same pathway everyone else does. You could just not run the CBBE Vanilla outfits, but the problem is there are a lot of vanilla outfits that aren't covered by the replacers so you're not going to have proportions applied. This makes using Bodyslide's batch build feature annoying because you're going to have to juggle what needs to be ran and what doesn't instead of doing it all in one go like normal.

 

Found an ancient post on Simply Realistic Armor that made it much easier. After you install the vanilla armor mod, run Bodyslide but just for the vanilla armor set. Make a new mod and dump the meshes into it. Label it "Bodyslide Output Vanilla Outfits" or something easily identifiable. Place it in the load order directly below Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Extender under the PC header. It must be above the normal Bodyslide output you create. When you get to the Final header and are ready to run your bodyslides, run it for everything EXCEPT the Vanilla outfits, then create the Bodyslide Output as normal and place it where the guide indicates. Voila. Additional benefit is that if you ever run Bodyslide again, you can just run it without the vanilla outfits and it won't add them back into the mix.

 

This helps people who want to use their own slides rather than the ones Aylis provides, but of course that method is going to be much simpler.
