Edit: Aha indeed It was because i accidentally missed a mod from the PC section. @Bushyboy you might want to try making sure you have natural skin tones as I was missing that mod and the moment I installed it the seam on delphine (the NPC i was using as a test) disappeared.

I went back to the original mod and saw some of deserterx and the armor from arise chapter 1 in it as well (assassin armor) but i'll check it out.

The original will not delete the main black dress. I'll look at the parted mod and see if it does.

Edit: I am using the Aylis Skin texture if that makes a difference.

That usually is a texture mismatch. Something is overwriting a texture it shouldn't. The used ENB or the lighting can also be the culprit.

 

In the end there is always a slight mismatch (that is almost unavoidable).

There is a guide for LE that shows how to fix the neck seam issue using the sculpt function of racemenu.

Or checking the loadorder. Often enough is moving the mod the simplest solution. 

 

My guiess is he's either missing a mod or something borked the loadorder.

Depends on the (neck seam issue) you are having.  if it is a gap (floating head) there is a tutorial for LE that shows how to edit the facegen masks in racemenu. If it's a COLOR mismatch then you must keep a few things in mind. Aylis made her preset for a breton, (arguably the most frustrating race to play with in racemenu) and her preset will be wrong if it is not put on a breton. (skin mismatch) I can't use the aylis preset if i use a different race mod. She will always have that seam at the neck. If i play a breton her preset works flawlessly. Other presets i have gotton like skoli's presets will do the exact same thing, can't use a breton preset on any other race. They are hardasses like that. But i can put an imperial preset on a nord and vis versa and it works great, no neck color change etc.

Looks like a colour mismatch to me but I don't know enough about modding to confirm that. I've attached a picture of what it looks like in racemenu on a nord female without using the Aylis preset.

I've had the issue with the Bijin neck seam, but it was due to having Bijin placed higher in my load order than the skin textures I was using.

 

Hmm, moving SOS lower than Men of Winter didn't help me. Golldir is still wearing pants, the selfish mommy's boy. I dunno, it's one of those problems with my build that I can't be arsed to look into.

The original will not delete the main black dress. I'll look at the parted mod and see if it does.

I can tell you it does not zap the dress but just about everything else has a zap slider. You''ll have to use Nifscope to "remove branch". Let me know if you have not used nifscope. It's a really easy process.

On the right side of MO, click on the DATA tab. Scroll down and expand meshes/actors/character/character assets and see if you see a femalehead.nif. If you do, unistall that mod. (tri file is okay) Next expand texture/actors/character/character assets/tintmasks. Just ignore dirt and males and you should see only your texture mod your using. Scroll down and expand female. All the female body,hands,feet,head should have the same and also match the tintmask textures. Note: I don't use these textures so report if you see any patches or not so users here can verify.

Did you import this preset in racemenu or is it built from scratch. Are all nords like this or only your character? Does it happen with other races?

Unfortunately i'm one of those people that reading how to do something and seeing it done are two different processes, I have the original 9d unp file But it has no bodyslide .tri or .osd files it's all _0.nif or _1.nif. These are in the downloaded file

So I'm assuming i need to make a new project for it and convert the UNP to cbbe then cbbe to 3bbb. I'll mess around with it today and see if i can get it to work.

@jap2015 No femalehead.nif in meshes/actors/character/character assets.

The contents of textures/actors/character/character assets & females have been included in the pictures below as I don't particularly know what I am meant to be looking for.

Texture issue happens on all humanoid races of both my character and female NPCs.
Definitely seems to be something I did wrong with Aylis skin because when I disabled it in the mod list the neck seam was no longer visible on any character.
Any ideas where I can go from here?

First download nifscope and install it anywhere on your computer (mine is in SSE Tools, where dyndolod is), unpack it, rightclick on the .exe and send shortcut to desktop.

ON your desktop move the nifscope icon to the edge or corner so it can be visible while looking at files.

Build your outfit in bodyslide. Open the file where you sent them: meshes/dcl01/clothes/vampire. Find the _0 and _1 nifs you just built (look at date and time to help). Left click and drag the _0 nif on top of your desktop nifscope icon. This will automatically open this nif in niscope.

Next click on the dress area (notice node 56 is highlighted on the left side). Right click on the body area and a box will pop up. select Block, then click on "remove branch", then save. Close nifscope and do the same thing to _1 nif. and your done. If you mess up, simply close nifscope and say no to any changes and start over. Note: This one is difficult because it has so many variations and hard to find the correct nifs to edit.

Like I said I don't use the textures here, but a lot others do, and don't have this problem. 

Any ideas where I can go from here?  Yes,  First Re-read the entire OP and see if anything clicks that maybe you missed something. 

Make a baseline and follow Aylis's guide and verify everything is in the correct order (left side of MO). Check results

Deactivate any (and I mean "any") mod that is not in this list. Delete your overwrite and all patch files and make new ones. Check results.

Lastly, deactivate all mods. Follow this guide and activate each mod in order (don't add a mod that is not in the list).  Move Your ESM/ESL's  up in the order they're installed.

Delete all your overwrite file, bodyslide outputs, fnis, bash patches an so on. Make new ones. Check results.

@Aylis I realize it would only be for all of two cutscenes but Elven Meridia (it has 1 requirement and a esp name change to that mod for IT'S required mod to work properly) but you also get to fly..

But then i choose the option for the wings. There are (I think) 4 options plus same 4 with wings. to have the wings required the Animated wings mod and the Flying Mod if you want to fly yourself. (depending on what you get for animated wings you will not need the flying mod)

Well, I figured out how to sort of convert LE to SSE. ( i found a see through glass armor that hadn't been converted that i could find) and got it to become a sse version. Not sure how big an accomplishment that is to some. to me that's huge. now i  gotta figure out how to separate the gloves, helmet, and boots to different packages and keep it as a full outfit as well

Hey so i resolved all of my previous issues with install, but i just found that NordWarUA's Vanilla Armor Replacers SSE  has been hidden on nexus any chance you have the file for the mod?

I've seen it but for only one scene? No, i won't add it and its dependencies. It's the same as with the fix for the Snowelves. Does too little to spend one or more slots for ESP.

For the longest time I've been having an issue with a neck seam, and I've only recently figured out my issue. I don't know why it does this, but if someone else is having this issue, perhaps this can help. For me, the neck seam wasn't caused by any of the body textures, but the Shader Pack -- the Skyrim SE Shader Bundle. Deactivating this immediately rectified my seam issue. Best I can assume, the shader was giving one color to faces and another to the body. Anyway, big thanks to Aylis for this modlist.
