What kind of update? Would you mind to do a texture update as well? Maybe using the Forebear textures as basic from skyfurry or your version? kinda would fit a wolf i must say. lol

Sorry but this update sucks. Lykaios was supposed to be a Wolf. Having sloppy doggy ears and face.. eh. Not fitting at all.  Not even mentioning it broke all my followers which i have created before. sigh...

I noticed male head is on female body, Giving it male racemenu options instead of female.  It looks weird, I didn't encounter this with the older version before this new one.

Hello i recently downloaded the very latest version of the mod along with RaceCompatibility, and it seems like it caused FPS drops roughly between 40-60 when

i move faster, or fight, even 35, and of course i am an lykaios if that does make a difference. . anywhere, with any graphic settings; and when i uninstalled the mod to make a new character and teleport to laggy areas to try what is going on, fps didn't move (i tried to redownload with no npc's, option too, no difference.). I mean how in oblivion is that possible, i really need help because i really want to get this race working correctly

tl;dr I loved that mod and want it so much but somehow it caused fps drops. almost no difference with graphic settings changed, inside/outside.

Blame the game engine.  Skyrim's game engine is very old.  This will happen often in areas apart of the game.  You will ses roughly going down to 40 fps.  It depends on what mods you are using such as physics and cloth physics and number of objects and npcs, lighting and shadows.  Plants, trees..ect.  Not to mention your pc specs too.

@Weerz Here's something you might not have considered: If you don't like the dog options, don't use them. I've given you at least two wolves in the presets. The ears were KrittaKitty's from way back, btw. Also all the dog patterns were already there--I just reordered them to be more useful.

 

Sorry about the NPCs. I would have bumped the major version number if I'd realized that.

 

@Charlves I'm only seeing female heads on females. Options (eyes, hair) are all female. Gonna have to give me more detail.

 

@Qaras I ran around the Rift and the Morthal marshes, which are both hard on frame rate. Had no problems either place. Fighting and running around aren't causing problems. Do you use an ENB?

I do. Rudy, but as i said, graphics doesn't seem to affect drops. In riften i get around 45 and 59, when attacking/ running/ moving 40 . i used to get stable 59 here though. if i need to mention specs are ryzen 7 6800 and 3060

Using racemenu to make changes to female Lykaios (cbbe).  Heads on the female body is male shaped, same for it's presets.  All male shaped.  I can put male hair / beards and male eyebrows onto the head.  Same with it's overlays.  All of them are for male.  I checked and nothing is overwriting it nor conflicting with the mod.  I didn't have this happened with the older version before the new one (3.3.7).  Sorry if am not good at giving good enough details.

Actually. I have it as well. Its not getting overriden by anything.

Also inspecting the esp. there is nothing extraordinary in it. You didnt touched the race. Although its feels like the whole morphs are messed up. Strangely. You didnt touched the beards, neither the eyes. Just some parts is differently named now. (Thats why i was broken on my followers. Had to rename the headparts)

Yet. the beards, eye morphs and brows and colors are unisex even if they are just male.  Couldn't be the LykaiosRaceController script broken with the headparts?

Okay, I admit I didn't comb through that mod list in detail. Main thing would be to move LykaiosReborn to the end and see what happens. Should not make any difference but "should not" != "is". Also would be good if you could try it with an absolutely minimal load order.

 

I think Weerz may be right that it has to do with RaceMenu or RaceCompatibility wierdness.

 

I put together a new version because there were some bugs in the female morphs. (Stack up too many and you get spikes in the neck area.) I also bumped the major version number just as a heads-up about changes breaking saves or existing NPCs.

 

I don't see the female-to-male bug in this version at all, but I didn't see it in the previous version either.

After all it does worked with the older version. Even if you remade it. Something is off... Do you think you can fix it? Im dumb with the scripting. Not gonna lie.

Also I doubt it would be on my side. Im not even using the same mods with him :D.

 

Altho one simple question. You made it for AE or its on 1.5.17? Because maybe that can cause it aswell and not the script.

(I just refuse to go for AE. The fishing dlc fucks up everything)

I can't fix it because I can't see it. My setup works fine and this is not a problem I've seen before. Also you fuzzbutts have crazy-ass mod lists and in a minute you're going to tell me you use Vortex, at which point all bets are off.

 

There shouldn't be a problem with AE. I was running with that for a while, back on SE now.

The unisex bodyparts still stands for me. But. now. strangely they do show up only if you select a preset and continue from there. But after it, it will not go away.  edit.: i cannot redo that. now all time shows up with male eyes and beards.

(Yes i do edit my char. Thats why always the same name. Anyway this is a fresh save.  without any addon inside Helgen.)

Okay, I've now reproduced it. The clue was having to select a preset first. Turns out all but one of my female presets were NOT marked female. So if you selected one that wasn't you got the problem--but if you selected the one that was, you didn't.

 

Bonus I'm going to fix the present face tints too. Some were missing because--turns out--if the value in the preset NPC doesn't match the value in the race EXACTLY, racemenu doesn't always show it. Because WTF.

A preset messed it up? Thats unexpectedly odd. Honestly that was not even in my mind.  Mm. well. im glad i could help with it somehow.

Atleast you(we?) figured it out now : P

 

About the face tints. I do suspected that ck many times had more face presets than i have seen ingame. Although i do always used the ear colors only, or the tattoos from different mods. I must say. I wouldnt mind if you could add some body markings as well. Like the Shark race have. Some built in ones.

Mostly tribal or nordic (after all it does switches down the nords in your other mod) i would say, or bloody or paws.. however you wish. (Its just an idea)

I'm uploading the fix, but the face tints on the presets are still fucked up and I cannot figure out why. They are all available to the user through racemenu, so that's gonna have to be good enough.
