Don't you have problems with the dialog system? I always had, which is why i only have a limited amount of mods running.

I'm on new play through of FO4 with this quest and a variety of others, hit level 6-ish and Jun comes up to me as expected with what I assume is the raider note to start this quest However all of his dialog options say "LOOKUP FAILED".  I chose the number 4 option and ended up with the Raider Note in my inventory. However, I don't want to go any further in case all the dialog in the quest is broken.

 

Does anyone have any thoughts on where I should start looking because I've never seen this issue before.

 

Some of the commentary out there suggests its UI related so the two most likely are the NewDialog mod, but I'm sure I was using that last year when I ran through this mod fine. The other one is Better Item Sorting. is that a possibility? Should I head to Corvega, make a save and then try disabling the mods and seeing how they go? Any other ways to diagnose?

What language is your FO4 installation?  Could be you're missing the transtlation files (though I seem to recall all of them default to English if no native transtlation was available).

 

I very much doubt Better Item Sorting could have any influence on this.

I just realized i ask the wrong question.

I meant, to wait until climax. The animation stop in general by a timer but ignores the actual climax of the participants.

Which is funny if you slide it to the max as they have climax but go on and on.

English, and I'm running the 1_4 localized version Raider Pet... although I'm prepared to admit that the Australian influence could be regarded as a foreign language

 

This is being run from MO2.

• Other than this it seems a fairly stable large build with AAF working, Fusion Girl, Sim Settlements 2, etc.
• I have cleaned the DLCs and a couple of the other mods from Nexus using FO4Edit.
• The mods at the very end of the load order are my own ones created from the MO2 overwrite e.g. bodyslide.
• I put Raider Pet in bold. It close to the bottom.

As I said I can wonder over to Corvega and run some test cycles with mods loaded/unloaded and see if those make a difference, but was wondering if there was something quick that would help me narrow the search?

That reads to me like a dialog string lookup fail, i.e. translation strings.  I think I've seen one or two similar reports, but only with non-English versions... and as far as I know, not with v1_4 in any case.  I'd expect that to happen (for example) in case of an incomplete translation table for some language.

 

(The mod is packed with translation files for all the supported languages IIRC, though in most cases they're just clones of the original English version - translators being scarce.  It's a localized ESP, so all user-visible strings involve table lookups.  Even the English ones.)

 

The other possibility that comes to mind: did you modify the ESP in any way?  Because that would likely invalidate the string lookup key.  Localized ESPs do *not* play nice with the Creation Kit.

Ah, that might be it. I did experiment with changing some of the Raider dialog in CK to make it more abusive, tidy up some spelling etc. I removed my esp before I ever used it but it could have damaged the original mod because I really didn't know exactly what I was doing *blushes*. I'll reinstall your mod from scratch and play it through again.

There is a utility in FO4Edit to convert localized -> nonlocalized and vice versa.  If you want to make personal-use changes like that, convert the ESP to nonlocalized first.  Then the CK should handle it just fine.

You can also just use FO4Edit to tweak the dialogue.  It's doesn't have the "structure" that the CK has, but is much faster.. and safer. At least for tweaking "current" dialogue.

For changing something fairly static like dialog text FO4Edit does seem like a much safer place to start. I'll look at both options. Thank you for that!?

Doesnt work for me, stashed all the weapons, used the forceDisarm command, raiders still attack on sight, even tried to trigger through aaf violate, still no avail. Got the note for Jun long and tried different raider bases.

Also seems to be that if another mod initiates sex like Sexual Harassment, it resets the time for this mod. Also sex from other mods does not seem to count toward the timer on the explosive collar. So, turn other call mods off till you have resolved the collar issue by quests or key.

As a general rule.. no.

But, make sure you're not a pet, wearing a collar etc... Even then.. not a good idea to remove scripted mods mid run.

Raider Pet will use just about any collar that is currently equipped, or the slave collar from Devious Devices, IF you have it installed. Or... you'll have to use your imagination.
