Thats a gud idea... keeping HDT as optional and required at the same time :D. How about the height of the race as well as armor settings. I think all races equip the gift armor once celestials esp is activated. 

 

I dont have any seam issues with the high heel. Its pretty cool and gives the player a unique feel. However the textures are too HD for my laptop and hence I had to change it.. The armor is completely awesome and integrates well with other armors. I use remodeled armor and my dragonscale armor integrates well with the other components of devil and angel armors. Its pretty cool. Nice Work!!!

Actually the auto equip armor is something I'm going to be changing soon. I'm not removing it entirely, however I'm moving the functionality to its own plugin. This way those that like it can keep it, those that don't don't need to use it. The Shaydow armor works the same way. Depending on load order, I set it up to now if you would rather you can start with a starter set of it instead of gift.

 

Doing this is one of the last things I plan to do before release, and I will PROBABLY also be making a video of me doing it for my YouTube Channel, so people can get an idea of how something like that works and how I would go about changing it.

I'm in love with this mod mate. Very, very nice job indeed. Waiting for update... Keep up the good work.

Edit: One question tho, I cant get CharGen to work. No matter what I try? Is it cause my RaceMenu is up to date?

Hi, I ran into a little problem. The angel wings let you walk on water which is like godly amazing, but now I can't go underwater after removing it. I tried disabling and deleting the mod too. Any ideas how to solve this?

 

I had the same problem with an earlier version.. brill mod but I had to remove it and start a new game :(

This is not an issue with Celestials on its own actually, but an issue with Skyrim itself. A character may at random times have an Enchantment become "stuck" to themselves, so say you had a necklace with +100 health, you may find you took it off but still have the +100 health, and always WILL. This can happen in Vanilla Skyrim, and is NOT Celestials fault. The problem when it happens in this case however, is that the waterwalking is the enchantment, and so is what becomes "stuck". My only advice is to save and save OFTEN.

So everyone, I came to give you an update, and not just any old update, but a BIG ONE!

 

So I have not had internet in almost 2 weeks ( maybe you noticed I didn't reply like I usualy did because I couldn't ) and have been stuck in the house the whole two weeks. So what did I do? I worked on Celestials of course! And when I say worked on it, I mean I WORKED ON IT! :)

 

Celestials v7 is no longer v7, let's get that out of the way. It is now v7.5 in late alpha. Why the extra .5 you ask to a version I have not even released yet? WEEEELLLL ( hold on to your hats ) :

 

Celestials has gone over some HUGE changes, I mean HUGE, but I'm hoping you guys will REALLY like them! For starters here are some bullet points of what I worked on the last 2 weeks.

 

 

--There is now a NEW FORM (!!!). The Shaydow Knight is now a Celestial Form, with its own unique powers and abilities!

 

--Angel and Devil Knight have BRAND NEW LOOKS ( again :P ). Not only do they have new looks, you will have THREE choices of looks to choose from, a Skimpy version and a Non-Skimpy version of the new Celestial Body 2.8, as well as Legacy! Screen shots to come.

 

--ALL the powers and Forms, EVERYTHING you know about the mod, have been re balanced COMPLETELY. Each Form has been designed to fit a roll, and the powers have been refitted to fit that roll. All the lesser powers, such as the Angel and Devil Shield abilities, now have a negative associated with their use, as well as the positive. I will talk about this more below.

 

--Forms have been balanced for use starting at level 1! No more waiting to change Forms at a certain level, do it when you want!

 

--The script to change forms has not only been touched up, but a lot of it has been rewritten to allow for the new changes. INSTANTLY switch from Angel Knight to Devil Knight to Shaydow Knight on the fly, then back to Angel. No more having to switch out to a non-form to change! Each form is now there when you need it, as soon as you need it.

 

--Celestial Convergence, as well as the starting racial abilities have been removed in favor of adding to and balancing forms. Things such as the old racial summon steed ( not Angel or Devil Steed ) have simply been moved to the new Shaydow Knight.

 

--Celestials is now %100 compatible using a new upcoming compatibility patch with p1Flying! Now when you use your wing power not only is it a toggle ( no more having to select a new power to turn it off, 1 power does both ), BUT instead of waterwalking and jump height you can FLY! Stamina will drain quickly as to not make it to OP. More details on this to come.

 

 

So ok, to break it down a bit more. My wife made mention on how Devil Knight wasn't REALLY the Rogue type she likes to play, so in the end me and her broke apart everything and rebuilt it. First thing to note is that Devil Knight is now pretty much THE MAGE. Devil Knight now ONLY uses cloth armor, but all the new powers and abilities have been balanced for this. Angel Knight now ONLY uses heavy armor, and the new Shaydow Knight uses Light armor. Understand however, that the same things you loved about the old two forms are still there. An example is, play as an Angel Knight and train up heavy armor. Now spend your perks on the CELESTIAL heavy armor perks that make you take less stagger ( NO stagger at rank 3 100 heavy armor! ). NOW switch to your Devil Knight or Rogue knight and get that bonus as well! Every one of the Celestial Perks will in some way help the other forms, so even if you want to be a sneak \ bow user, your going to want to train up some Devil Knight Destruction perks to help you out! Customize your character however you like. From playing a pure warrior ( angel knight ) to a Hybrid Rogue \ Mage ( Shaydow \ Devil ), to all 3! 

 

Things like Angel Knight Mana Shield and Devil Knight Flame cloak have been redone. A good example is Devil Knight Flame Cloak. 1: it no longer deals damage to enemies but instead gives you magicka and 2: it will now DRAIN YOUR HEALTH while using it. Think this means you will never use it? Think again! Devil Knight get a special Destruction spell only available to Devil Knight Form that drains the life from your enemies and gives it to you while dealing damage. Proper use and timing of the Flame cloak is now KEY! This is just an example,  Angel Knights is similar, while active you will do 25% less 1 and 2 handed damage but regain magicka ( not as fast as Devil ) to feed your powerful new ward spell! ( A special heal that also blocks incoming magic damage. Cast this when your shield ISN'T on to gain restoration skill even when your not hurt, or use your shield to be a heavy armor using Mage! ). These abilties can be toggled on and off at will.

 

The Shaydow Knight has all the neat little things you guys have seen bits and pieces of me working on the past 2 months, such as the Guns. All have been balanced as well! Use your Gun as a Shaydow Knight to steal the mana from your enemy, then use that Mana to cast a Cloak that makes you very hard to see! Train your sneaking and after using the cloak even right in an enemies face you can go into sneak and do a powerful sneak attack. Attack with your swift daggers to drain life from foes and give it to yourself!

 

I'm really excited about what my wife and I did this past month. Tomorrow or the day after I'm going to shoot a video highlighting changes. I will try to keep it at around 30 minutes. Friday or Saturday I'm going to begin doing file paths. That should take about a week or so, and after that v7.5 will be ready to be released.

im having some problems with creating a celestial character, when I try to do the customization the eyelashes and eye borders are sticking through the middle of the eyes, i have tried uninstalling all the eye mods I had and have tried multiple race menu tools but I cant figure out whats wrong with it, are there any recommended eye mods that work well with the race mod?  its probably something im doing wrong, or a mod I have installed messing it up but ive been trying for the majority of the day and just figured id ask about it as a last resort, none of the stuff I saw in the previous pages worked so far either, i have been trying to create a celestial like the one on the lets play that's on your youtube channel but all day ive got mutants with weird eyes, any advice would be appreciated and sorry if i missed the solution to this problem if its on one of the earlier pages as im still new to the site.

@Shaydow: Amazing stuff!!! ...Since you are using a different body type for the race, I am guessing there should be 2 versions a non hdt high heels and a hdt high heels? Also would it be possible to have bodyslide for the armors. I thought once you release it, I could look into it and create some good cbbe versions of the armor for use with the race (although the meshes would have to be changed wrt the body type). I am just rambling :) Cant wait for it to be released!!!

 

@Lolilotion: Check your load order. Sort using BOSS. Should solve the problem. Regarding good eye mods. Eyes of beauty is an excellent mod and is compatible with Celestials. Another thing is celestials has its own eye and body mesh and texture pack. Try reinstalling celestials. you might have missed out on some of the meshes and textures. Use NMM to install. That way it is easier to uninstall and re-install without affecting other mods.

Known issue. Only effects some people. Think I MAY have a bead on it. Eye data can not be entirely changed in the CK for a new link, think I talked about this once before. Did work on the problem some. 

 

@Ruroken I just sorted my load order using BOSS and reinstalling celestials but the eyes are still messed up unfortunately

 

Try the attachment I'm adding and see if it works. You didn't really give me much to go on, such as are you using any OTHER head mods other then eyes, are you using RaceMenu by Expired, or ECE, etc?

ive tried switching between racemenu and EcE, and the mods that I have effecting heads are ApachiiSkyHair, and Celestial Hairstyles other then that I don't think anything else that I have installed effects the heads unless the Children of the sky Mod or any other race mod counts

Do me a favor, go into game using RaceMenu and try moving the eye height slider up and down. Do this with and or without the attachment. Let me know what happens.

alright I tried going into it with racemenu and tried the eye height slider up and down as u recommended, and I did so with the attatchment it aligned the eyes a bit better but their still not aligned with the eyes correctly its still a little off

Just a TINY bit of bad news guys. Don't know where everyone lives of course or if you have turned on the weather, but where I live we are getting pounded pretty bad right now. Kids had no school and won't have any until Tuesday, plus I've had to go shovel off and on and will keep having to. All this means is that I won't have as MUCH time to work on the mod before Saturday like I had hoped. Just means that me starting file paths and packaging may not begin until Tuesday.

This mod... Someone plays/enjoys Vindictus. Wouldn't have mentioned it but the Celestial form shoulders and the audio clips are literally directly from Vindictus, same with the hair in your vampire lord overhaul. I don't particularly care but I think maybe you should give a little credit for where you drew your ideas in the thread. If you did, my apologies, but I didn't notice it anywhere.

It's a yes and no situation.

 

See while I agree I have pulled SOME assets from Vindictus Paladin and Dark Knight ( yes I played, I'm actually a pretty well known modder for it, not under this name, and I have not done shit since GoodStuff went Dodo so ya ), it's like 2 to 3 things now, if that. Even the original idea, that was LOOSELY based on something like it has evolved well past that point and into MY creation.

Awesome mod Shaydow, i roleplay in skyrim alot and this mod was good for both my good/holy character and my evil one. Now i think i have to make a whole new one that uses all three forms it just looks like it would be so fun, cant wait.

I may have had that same problem, does it affect most custom races?

Do you have Half-Dryad/Elf race? that mod caused me this problem too, uninstalling that fixed it for me.

It's normal stuff for me (within reason) but I'm north of you by a fair bit; plus it probably like night versus day for weather preperation, I know some parts that have been hit never expected to see weather like that, so they are ill-equipped for such a situation~

 

Hope it works out in the end, and the weather lays off.

 

Been looking forward to the next major release (Shaydow knight looks good so far! And your example vid of HDT on the hdt site makes me look forward to the tweaks you've done)

 

 

I was born and raised in the Catskill Mountains of NY. I'm fully aware of what a metric shit ton of overnight snow is.

I noticed the mod came with 2 versions one with and without Dawn Guard. I don't have the DG DLC. I tried un equipping my armor saved, then reloaded celestial.esm(vanilla version) and I see the tail equipped for a split second then it CTD's. Any idea why it does this? I have ECE mod installed, and noticed certain mods wasn't compatible with Enhanced Character Edit, such as Lover Race mod. Is this mod compatible with ECE, or do I need the DLC Dawn Guard? I love the armor on the screenshot. I currently use UNP top model as body, and I was wondering how should I go on about converting the CBBE to UNP top model? What tools would I need? Could it be done simply using nifskope?

I'm just stopping by to thank you for your mod.  I thought the last version I downloaded was going to be the final release and then you went and made the celestial race even more awesome.  Great work Shaydow!
