gokuzeny Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 so I tried testing the new version and i crash every time at the character creation screen. My game works fine if i disable it, only happens when celestials is loaded. I made sure to uninstall any other custom races as well. Cant figure out why, I installed all the requirements as well.
Fuzaki Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I'm assuming this one requires a clean install as I am getting an infinite loading screen otherwise.

My game works fine if i disable it, only happens when celestials is loaded. I made sure to uninstall any other custom races as well. Cant figure out why, I installed all the requirements as well. Does this ONLY happen at a new character creation, or any time you see the race menu? Can you still load up any existing Celestial you had? Do you use ShowRaceMenu PreCacheKiller? I'm assuming this one requires a clean install as I am getting an infinite loading screen otherwise. Do you get an infinite loading screen for ALL your saves? A trick that can work and not just for my mod but for a lot of mods, is to find a save that WILL load, get into the game, THEN load the save your trying to load. After you're in the game with that save, find an interior if you're not already in one, save again, and then try loading it later. I have a clean save at game start at helgen just before he says " who are you? " to allow me not just to test how character creation will work, but to be able to see if the game is stable to load all of the activated mods without ever having loaded them before. Another thing is if your wearing any of the " gift " armor that I started you with earlier, it may be having issues just because that armor has now changed in terms of armor rating etc. You can always use the last version that worked, take off all your armor and save, THEN try upgrading and reloading the save. Skyrim can be very picky when it comes to things being changed..
gokuzeny Posted September 15, 2013 Posted September 15, 2013 anytime i load any character with celestials or at racemenu, doesnt matter if its new or old, they work fine with it deactivated.and yes i use precache killer. without celestials installed i can load like 400 hairs, new eyes, etc, 10 or more custom races no problem, so thats why im at a loss here.

So your saying WITH Celestials checked your crashing on ANY character? Now I just tested updating from the same versions you must have on my wifes computer and she only uses the BSA, and she didn't have any problems, so what I'm thinking is this : The last update really didn't change all that much except for some crafting added that was the biggest addition. First thing I want you to try doing is load up your Mod manager and uncheck every mod you can besides Celestials. So what I mean is Pretty much everything except racecompatiblity, and official Bethesda Expansions / patches etc, and anything FNIS related. Then try and load up any character or start a new game. If you don't crash and it works, start turning on a couple at a time and loading up until you find the one that may be conflicting. If that doesn't work ( I.E only with pretty much JUST Celestials loaded in the mod manager you still crash ) then I might be at a slight loss.
gokuzeny Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 ok so I discovered the culprit, it turns out it was actually expired's racemenu. 2.1.0 was causing ctd's with footwear that didnt have skin, so when the celestial gear was auto equipped it caused instant ctd, he made an update to fix it luckily and im now able to play V6d

This is what I mean when people say they CTD and I can sometimes have NO CLUE what is going on. I could never have guessed that could have been your issue. Did you find it out using the method I described to you by turning off all mods and then turning them on a few at a time until you find a conflict?
gokuzeny Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 yes that helped me find it, then when I did I checked some forums to see if others had an issue with it and discovered he had updated it. Thanks for your help.
James Bond Posted September 17, 2013 Posted September 17, 2013 Thanks for sticking with this mod through to completion. For what it's worth, you've done a fine job with this mod and have my compliments.

Ah yes I tried deinstalling the previous version and saving a clean save and then re-installing the new version and that seems to work fine so far. Funny, as I also tried the first method of loading a previous loadable version and then re-loading my other save. I think I tried a combonation of both of these methods. Thank you for the information though, it will greatly help me in the future now that I know.
redmagic155 Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 I just looked at this mod and was interested but when I installed it, it caused a few issues. I can no longer select a male character as its body mesh has disappeared leaving only its head and arms. Furthermore, whenever I try to select a female character other than the celestial race, the game ctd. Also, I can't seem to use the angel form without ctd as well. All of this is happening at the character selection at the beginning of the game. At first I thought one of my other mods was in conflict with this mod but after uninstalling all mods other than race compatibility and alternate life (faster access to initial character selection) the situation hasn't changed. Does anyone know what's going on?

Does anyone know what's going on? On the front page under *REQUIREMENTS* : A compatible Skeleton with tail (and CB++BBP) is REQUIRED for non-Celestials to use any of the craftable tails in the mod. You WILL CTD if you're a non-Celestial without a skeleton with tail bones! This Race and the forms are for FEMALE CHARACTERS ONLY. At race selection you will see generic male Nords. You are seeing males with no mesh simply because you are wearing armor that has no nif assigned to it for males. Males in game will not look like that, only ones on character creation when wearing the armor. I think you are crashing when selecting a different female race because the armor is BBP / TBBP and the skeleton you have for vanilla female races is not. Celestials comes with its own skeleton attached to the race. Your best bet is to use XP32's Maximum Skeleton, you can find it on the nexus. I will edit the main requirements later today to better clarify this.
Shaydow Posted September 18, 2013 Author Posted September 18, 2013 Stopping by to drop an update on what I'm still working on : Celestials is now fully compatible with Dual Sheath Redux . All the weapons now have lefthand variations for anyone who uses this mod. On that note I tinkered with the Celestial Skeleton and put dual daggers on the back. Works if you have Dual Sheath Redux installed as well for 2 daggers on the back. I will post a screen or two later to show you what it looks like. I did this to make the Celestial Race just a bit more unique from all other races \ NPC's in game. Made a pair of Pumps for the Dream set that work with HDT's HighHeel System. I will not be scripting them to auto height as I do not want Celestials to have HDT as a dependency. They will be sunk in the ground if you do NOT have HDT's system, but if you DO have the HDT system, you can use the MCM to add the proper height to them. Made a new pair of stockings to go along with these Pumps ( or most any of the HDT pumps for UNP ) that match the Dream set. These stocking can only really be worn either with my new pumps or any other pumps like them that are open footed, so that the stocking can properly cover the foot. The will be named something like Celestial Dream Mage HDT Stockings or something. I made 3 versions this time, a low "SOCK" type ( below the knee ), a medium "KneeHigh" type ( above the knee ), and the traditional thigh high. Celestial Dream is getting a SEMI overhaul. After adding in a couple new pieces etc, I decided to make tops and bottoms separate wearable pieces. This is something I JUST started working on. There will be 4 chest and 4 panty pieces, all that will conform to UNP for the most part, or at least all 4 of each work in any combination with the UNP bodies I used. A few pieces have been more fine tuned, like the Dream Jewelry getting earrings \ etc. Some like Skirt B have had the textures and UVmaps redone to look nicer. I expect the next update sometime at the end of the week, probably Saturday. With this update my goal is to no longer update the BSA again with V6, any future changes to V6 will only be ESP changes after this. If the BSA ever needs to change again, it won't be until V7 ( whenever that might be ), and from that point on I will only try to release a single BSA every version.
Shaydow Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 Hi guys, as promised here are some screenshots of the changed Celestial skeleton for daggers. NOTE that the TWO daggers on back can ONLY be achieved if you use Dual Sheath Redux . Otherwise only one dagger will be on your back and your left handed weapon will be invisible when sheathed. Also remember this is for CELESTIAL RACE CHARACTERS ONLY. If you want this on your non-celestials you either need to use my celestial race skeleton or move \ make the nodes yourself in the skeleton you're already using. Also, if you have keen eyes and see some "things", note that they are all coming in this weekend's finale V6 BSA release.
gokuzeny Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 looks good however i probably wont use dual sheath redux since the last time i tried to use it I had issues with it, its a pain to install as well.
Shaydow Posted September 19, 2013 Author Posted September 19, 2013 looks good however i probably wont use dual sheath redux since the last time i tried to use it I had issues with it, its a pain to install as well. I had no issues getting it to install and set up to work with Celestials. I just followed his instructions on the main page, and since I DON'T use BOSS ( I maintain my OWN load order thank you very much ) used the optional SUN instead and everything installed fine. If you want to try again let me know maybe I can help you get it working. Also note that any time you add a mod or a mod adds any new left handed type items ( like mine say ) you need to run the SUN patcher again.
gokuzeny Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 yea its the part about the patcher i had issues with
Shaydow Posted September 20, 2013 Author Posted September 20, 2013 yea its the part about the patcher i had issues with Is the installer not running? Is windows giving you an error? If so you do not have the proper JAVA runtime installed on your computer. If the installer IS running but something else isn't working, then I suggest installing Dual Sheath Redux and THEN installing SUN. Run the SUN manager, NOT the Dual Sheath Redux manager, and when it starts, you can tell the installer how much of your system RAM to use when patching. If you're having a hard time getting the patcher to actually patch, it's probably because you have so many mods that the amount of ram assigned to the runtime is running out before it can finish, so use the SUN patcher and change that value. Also again, I wouldn't use the option for BOSS, hence why I got the SUN, even if you DO use BOSS. Use BOSS as you always have and just let the SUN patcher patch Dual Sheath Redux and everything should work fine.

Another thing though; I wasn't too clear where to drop the hair texture for the vampire lord form as when I tried manually installing it or using nmm, the hair textures are missing in game. The meshes are there and there aren't any other issues but the lack of a hair texture is bugging me.

The meshes are there and there aren't any other issues but the lack of a hair texture is bugging me. It was pointed out to me that some of the file paths have changed enough in Celestials.BSA that the Vampire Lord replacer may have SOME issues. My goal was to release the finale BSA version of V6 sometime this weekend, then next week rework the vampire lord replacer as a stand alone that will not require Celestials to work at all. The new Vampire Lord replacer will still be linked on the front page, however I will be adding it to LoversLab as it's own download in its own category. It will come as two different types, one working just the way the replacer you have now does, and one I am calling a vampire lord replacer OVERHAUL, that actually has you looking still like your normal self and using normal female animations. However to achieve this I had to break melee combat for vampire lords ( the reasons why have been discussed throughout this thread for some time now and are beyond my ability to fix ), so there are still just a few things to tweak before it is ready ( that I haven't gotten to just yet since I've been trying to finish V6 of Celestial first ). If you can hold out until next week sometime I will have your issue fixed, as well as some new goodies. *EDIT* on that note : I'm not sure the last BSA update to V6 WILL be ready this weekend. I thought I would have all day to work on it today as my kids were suppose to go to Nana's house for the weekend and my wife has to work, however Nana had to work so I have to watch the kids all weekend. I might still have it done by tomorrow, but I might not, it all depends on how much time I get to sit down and work on it today.
Shaydow Posted September 21, 2013 Author Posted September 21, 2013 I lied. I had a good 7 hours to finish V6e today, and I did so ( the wife got off way early AND I woke up early ). The update is now available. NOTE that this is the final V6 BSA release of Celestials. If a new BSA is ever uploaded, it will come as V7b ( an "a" version is always ALPHA and is in house testing only, b is for BETA when I release to the public, and c and onward is updates and fixes to the b ). See the update section of the front page for changes from V6d to V6e. I hope you all enjoy the final release of Celestials V6. *EDIT* ignore the patch notes that state there are skirts C and D added. I had them ready, I simply forgot to add them to the esp. I suppose this will be a future update.
Shaydow Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 A new version of the VampireLord replacer is now available. Check the links on the front page if you haven't already seen it. This is a stand alone project from Celestials and as such has its own thread, so if you have any questions please ask THERE and not HERE. Enjoy!
Groovtama Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Shaydow can you do me a favor and add/upload the source scripts. I tinkered around with the old source scripts (v6d) and optimized them. I could reduced the shuttering when the scripts are running. It may also reduce the ctd chance when you start celestial with a new character. I can also send you the old modified v6d scripts and you can take a look at them.

To be honest those source files were not even suppose to be in there. As I've already stated I'm in the process of cleaning them up myself, as well as some other changes ( I.E the QUEST properties for starting items changed, but I have yet to clean out the parts of the script that no longer work ). As for CTD when creating a new character, not only should that be less now with V6d and upwards, but I also want to get in there and disable the weapons and shield from auto equipping, since I realized it kinda serves no purpose ( what with your hands being bound and all ). Once I get it to where I feel comfortable with everything being cleaned by me, I will probably start to include source scripts again.
