GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

 

Since it had been well over 7 months and what I released was a throw together, not only will the next update be bug / balance fixes, but I'm also going to be including a new QOL ( Quality of Life ) Update that will make everything MUCH BETTER and easier to use. I've just now gotten back into what is actually NEW since I was last able to work on the mod, and here is what I found out.....

 

Basically, I can now fix the compatibility issues with Celestials Needing it's own Eye Data. A new femaleheadchargen.tri allows me to plug those features into the RaceMenu without the need to overwrite any of the data in the character assets folder. So once again Celestials will go back to a self - packaged race and everything for the race will be included in it's own folder. This means anyone who never used ECE or had any other type of eye and head tri replacers will no longer experience any conflicts with celestials!

 

I plan on putting out the next update to Celestials some time late next week after my kids both start school. I still need to work on it some, but any balance changes will wait, as I would really want to push this out ASAP as it is the source of many users problems with Celestials as it can conflict with Vanilla. You will get the ability to work the eyes via racemenu options, the arrow damage bug fix, and 2 new pieces I didn't get to put in the V6 release ( well one is actually old but got left out due to me forgetting to remake it :P, the old Celestial Angel Form Heels will be making a comeback as a craftable, as well as a new pair of stockings that are Knee High instead of Thigh High, also craftable ).

 

After that, I will start to work on balances to powers and forms and any new additions. 

 

*edit* added an example. I'm not sure if this will make the racemenu by expired REQUIRED or not, but I think it will. I will test a bit more later next week.

*EDIT 2* Don't pay any attention to that horrible neck seam in the pic, it was caused by me messing around with my ENB settings AND I'm replacing the default female Body \ Head textures as well, and hadn't blended them yet.

So guys and gals ( anyone who follows me \ this mod ) I have a request. I think it is high time I cleaned up the main page. The videos section is highly outdated, and I'm thinking I need a screenshots section. So here is what I would like...

 

Show me your Celestial! You don't necessarily have to BE a Celestial, but show me some screen shots of your character using the mod. If you ARE a Celestial, gimme some pics of your characters. Not only would I like to see them, but I would also like to put them on the front page as examples of the mod. I can only show so many pictures of my own characters, and most of them look exactly the same, because well, I like what I like. I want to show off what others have done that they like, and gosh darn it, I know almost 20k people had v5 and going on about 900 have the new v6. I want to be able to show examples of what the mod is capable of on the front page, as I think this is what the design is missing the most.

If you use RaceMenu by Expired you can change your breast size to whatever you like for both the Celestial Knight Armor and the Devil Knight armor. Angel knight is the only armor type still not done ( so the breasts are always a set size ).

 

Also, thanks for the share! Very nice looking character.

Ah ya I had a mod that adjust the size and totally forgot about it.  More acceptable bust size now still kinda big for my tastes but at least I get to enjoy your armors to its fullest now :).

UPDATE :

 

So I've been being asked a LOT now with v6 to;

 

A ) Add in a cloth armor.

B ) Do something with UNP.

 

So I had started to do just that. And then I made it. And then I thought " this is nice and I don't use cloth armor like EVER. ". So then I got to thinking about adding in all 3 armor types for each of the armors. Then I got to thinking about how I wanted to name all the new variants. Then I realized I needed a new name for the armor currently called Knight that you get when you first load up the mod.

 

SOOOO, any suggestions? I'm going to be working with Mage = Cloth, Warrior = Light, and Knight = Heavy armor. So for example you will have a Celestial Angel Mage Chest, a Celestial Angel Warrior Chest, and a Celestial Knight Chest, each of a different type and craftable / enchantable / upgradable. I know I have talked about doing this before but I think it is high time I did it.  HOWEVER, I have no idea what to call what is currently Knight armor. I do have a name for the new set with a name in mind. Gimme some ideas.

 

Speaking of : TEASER ( this will probably require some permissions )

I'm converting the armors of the Celestials race to 7B.

So far i only did the Vampire Lord Form and it took me forever.

Your armors are extremely detailed!

IS that normal? Kinda of creepy :D.

The sretching may come from the highheels they make the body look longer when in the air. It also depends on the skeleton.nif you use.

I'm using the Skeleton from the file Celestial VampireLord Addon V1.

XPMS works too but it also has the stretching effect.

the console command "tfc"is not working when transformed so i can't take better screenshots :(.

The Vampire Form 7B is now 100% complete.

As for the stretching, there is nothing that can currently be done about that when using the default Vanilla  vampire lord animations, otherwise you break the game hardcore. I'm working on making animations compatible and that will be a future release of the Celestial Vampire Lord. It will be a stand alone instead of needing Celestials installed. That comes after my next V6 update.

So I spent most of the day reworking the script for Celestial Unleash like I always wanted to. Celestial Unleash is no longer a Celestial Racial Passive. This is a QoL ( Quality of Life ) change for new players / new characters using Celestials. Now Celestial Unleash gets added at the first time the mod is run, just like the Armor does. This means even NON Celestials will get the ability right off the bat, and will no longer need to use the console to add the ability. It still requires level 30 to use, using it before lvl 30 does nothing. Once you are level 30, using it will now REMOVE IT ( that is one of the reasons I changed the way the ability is handled, Racial Spells / abilities can NOT be removed, and after Celestial Unleash did its thing, you had an ability in your powers menu that would never do anything again but you couldn't get rid of ), you will lose Celestial Unleash and gain the 2 forms like normal, as well as a NEW ability called Celestial Convergence. Celestial Convergence can not be used until level 80, once used it will vanish from your list and 4 new powers will be added to your character permanently. These 4 new powers are toned down versions of two of each of the forms existing powers, Angel Knight Heal, Angel Knight Shield, Devil Knight Phase, and Devil Knight flame cloak. All the respected attributes of these abilities are cut in half from the originals, HOWEVER, they can be used when not in a form, in the OPPOSITE form, or in the same form.

 

Examples :

 

1) I am in Human form and have used Celestial Convergence. I can use Celestial Rejuvenation Racial ability and the new Celestial Angel Heal to heal. They both stack.

 

I am now in Angel Form, having used Celestial Convergence. I can use Celestial Rejuvenation as my shout, Celestial Angel Heal from convergence in my right hand, AND Angel KNIGHT heal in my left. I can at any time use the new Celestial Devil Phase unlocked for me from Celestial Convergence, however Devil KNIGHT phase ( twice as strong ) can still only be used if I am in Devil Form.

 

NOTE: For those who already have Celestials installed, you WILL need to use the console to re add Celestial Unleash to yourself, even if you already used it. You're going to need it that one more time but after that no one should HAVE to use the console, regardless of race, to get the powers from here on out. Any new characters or first time users will NEVER have to use the console for forms anymore, even if they are not a Celestial.

 

I also made the phase shift(s) illusion now, balanced timers and strength for it as well as ALL HEALS GRANTED BY CELESTIALS. Angel Knight Shield, or the ability that granted Magicka Regen, is now a SPELL that must be cast, has had all values cut in half, AND has a magicka cost. That's right, you will now have to SPEND magicka to GAIN magicka, though the amount you gain over time is always a bit more than you spent ( current is gain 70% magicka over 5 seconds for a cost of 50% magicka, resulting in paying for gains in the long terms of 5 seconds 20% ).

 

The new armor from the teaser pic and now on the main page is UNPB BBP, has its own replaceable UNP skin textures, and is the first in my armor sets to be able to be crafted in all 3 armor types. I plan on doing the starting armor as well as the craftable form armors as well. Also I fixed the Racial Power Arrow damage :P

 

I will release a full set of patch notes like I used to when the update comes out. It might be as early as tomorrow, or if anything in 2 days.

 

*EDIT* I also changed the way the starting script works. You will now get 2 top left messages. The first is " Celestials is Initializing", and when it is all done the message " Celestials has finished Setup " will appear, informing you that the mod is done and no more scripts will be running in the background. Believe it or not, ALL of my scripts now run and end, almost 5 seconds after you first use one ( say you use Devil Knight Transformation ). You no longer have ANY of my scripts running / checking / tracking ANYTHING in the background as you are playing. All Global Variable tracks have been removed. This should make Celestials much more compatible with other script heavy mods.

Cleaned up the main Page. Reorganized the layout, added some screenshots of the upcoming V6b RaceMenu Plugins, and added a brief bit of Lore about being a Celestial. Let me know what you guys think. It should be MUCH better now.

 

*EDIT* Added update notes for upcoming V6b to updates section. The new version will be up sometime today or tomorrow.

Please do not download V6c yet if you have not already until I update this post. I made a small yet large mistake when I packed the BSA and it includes a wrong file. A new version is uploading right now as I post this and I will edit this post when it is complete. If you have already downloaded todays new version please download it again after I get the fix uploaded.

Alright I found a few more small bugs with the last release that are no big deal persay. Such as the new knee high's are IN the game but I forgot to add them to the crafting table, A couple misnamed pieces ( typos ), and a few odds and ends. Now I will be releasing an update on Friday that will fix all this, but well, I told you guys school was about to start, and today I actually had ALL day to work on the mod. So what did I do? I did what I said I always wanted to \ planned on and added EVERY SINGLE ARMOR PIECE ADDED FROM THE CELESTIALS MOD TO THE CRAFTING TABLE IN ALL 3 FORMS. This took me FOREVER to do ( HOURS ). All items you have ever seen are now craftable. A few things to note about this :

 

I changed the naming scheme of EVERYTHING. All items have been completely renamed. The new scheme was set up so it would be easier to find the item you're looking for. All heavy Armor is now called "Knight", all Light armor is called "Warrior" and all Cloth is called "Mage". An example : The armor you started the game with was called Celestial Knight, let's say gloves. It is now called Celestial Gift Knight Gloves if it is heavy armor and Celestial Gift Warrior Glovesr if it is Light, and same for Mage.  *NOTE* a drawback of this is all the armor granted to you at the start of the game(mod) is now CLOTH. This will happen for anyone who already had the mod installed. I want to say it's not THAT big a deal. If you know how to use the console replace it the way you want easy enough, otherwise CRAFT the version you want. A small 6 piece will now be granted to first time users \ characters consisting of Celestial Gift Knight Chest and Helm, Celestial Warrior Gloves and Boots, and Celestial Gift Gem and Wings, both are 0 armor cloth. You have a good start, but now you should really WANT to craft different versions of the armor, and you will also not have so much armor to start anymore.

 

All Heavy Armor and Light Armor is now craftable from lvl 1, and will appear in the daedric crafting listing on a forge. All Mage armor has ZERO armor and stats, is crafted at a tanning station, also under daedric,  and each piece costs 6 leather strips to make. The only exceptions are the ones that are already enchanted, for heavy and light they are 5 dragon bones, 5 dragon scales, 5 daedra hearts, and 12 leather strips. The cloth is 3 of each and 6 leather strips.

 

I am in the process of better balancing the stats on all the armor pieces, however this is even a larger project than just setting up the crafting tables ( did something over 250 today ), and so will not be ready anytime soon. Some of it is already seen as the items got added to crafting tables and saw about a 2/3 drop in armor rating ( so from 30 armor to 10 armor as an example ).

 

I've been showing pictures of armor, and this and that, and just like the knee highs I SAID were in the game in the V6c patch notes, I totally saw a LOT of armor pieces I had neglected to add to the crafting tables during each of the updates, even though they were IN the GAME. Unless you took the time to look in my ESP, or to search using the console, you have never seen these pieces, even though they have been in the game some of them since early v5beta. What this means is many of you are gonna go to craft after the update and see a SHIT TON more stuff.

 

You can expect this update sometime on Friday afternoon EST. It also comes with some other stuff, such as the new Dream Armor has pieces now to match the other armors ( A special "wing", a new skirt, a 3rd chest option, Jewelery slot, Ears, Tail, etc. All are unique to the Dream Set and none are shared with the others ). I will list the new pieces and changes in the patch notes on the main page sometime friday.

 

*EDIT* Also forgot to add. I plan on adding in more under the LL downloads page to make upgrading easier. There will be one "required" file come friday, and that will consist of the BSA and esp as it is now. However, any future updates that DON'T touch the original BSA and just use the ESP to fix bugs \ add things etc, will be posted as an OPTIONAL DOWNLOAD for you to update. This way I can make it so you don't ALWAYS have to download all 250+megs whenever I release a new version, you will only have to do that when a new version has new files in it. This is hopefully a QoL update for my users.

 

*EDIT 2* I have really thought about also listing a "loose file" version. I decided now that the internet is back on and all I really do is play non - multiplayer games \ work on STUFF, I don't really have to worry about the time to upload such a file anymore, especially if I start it when I first wake up on a weekday ( something like 4am now ). Thing I want to know is, how many of you are actually interested in this? It's about 800 megs now, I expect someday for it to hit 1gig, UNPACKED. I then pack it as a BSA, and that drops the size A LOT ( down to about 250megs ), then I 7zip it to try and compress it for upload \ download even more. Again, if you unpack it, it's about 800megs right now, or about 233megs or something when BSA'd then 7zip'd. Would you download it loose as the "easier" option for upgrading in the long run, or would you rather I stuck with BSA and you just used that \ unpacked yourself, as you saw fit?

Either loose files or uncompressed bsa file, for performance reasons, with 7zip compression afterwards. I don't really have the best inet connection but I can take the few minutes (~15 min) to download the ~300mb file. If you can take the time to do full updates, it's fine. If you just want to do small partial updates that's also fine. For the updating component I think only loose and bsa + loose updates has the same amount of advantages and disadvantages so no clear winner.

Do what is more convient for you.

Celestials will NEVER be released on Nexus, for more than just 1 reason. There is a reason I actually LIKE LL ( LoversLab ) and decided to put Celestials here and no place else. That's not to say you can't upload it someplace else if you like. bbs.3dmgame.com asked if they could upload it to a chinease web site so they could have an easier time downloading it, and of course I told them to do whatever the fuck they wanted with it, just like I told YOU the same thing. That's just ONE of the reasons I will NEVER release something like this on Nexus, just to many rules, and even though I ask for permissions and get them whenever I can, I just feel as a modding community we should all be just, you know, doing our thing. The more we do that , and don't put restrictions on the released work, the more mods get released, and the better any single person can make THEIR Skyrim experience. This is my opinion anyway.

When do you release the Celestial VL V1 7B mod?^^

 

Well what I was THINKING was come this Friday, I will release a new esp and bsa. I have to release a new BSA because new stuff got added ( to the Dream set ). Once that is all released I will add the OPTIONAL download for any ESP only changes so you don't have to download the entire BSA after that. THEN, now this is just a thought, because if I update say twice in a week or so because I found a bug or a mesh \ texture needed to be changed ( resulting in the BSA changing ), I don't want to have to spend a couple hours AGAIN uploading a NEW loose version, as well as the updated BSA, AS WELL as the updated only files for those who had the PREVIOUS loose version. Does this make sense? INSTEAD, what I thought was in the FAQ section giving a detailed description and offering troubleshooting to anyone who wants to unpack the BSA themselves ( its not that hard ). THEN what I can do is offer the NEW BSA release \ PLUS a new " IF you unpacked the last BSA this is the changed loose " version ( so very small, not having to reupload the entire loose each time ), as well as the ESP change option for everyone. This means if come tomorrow YOU actually take the time to unpack the BSA, on the next release that changes or adds any new files, I will have a LOOSE version of those changes for you, but of course the download will only work if you took the time to unpack the BSA yourself beforehand. I think this is the best way to do it.

 

*EDIT* so basically I will have a V6d download for the BSA, and a V6d download for the ESP. Two different downloads. Now lets say V6e comes out because of a bug fix, but I changed the ESP only. I will update the ESP only download and say for use with V6d BSA. Now say V6f comes out, and I changed some of the files, as well as the esp. The BSA will update to the new V6f, the ESP will update to the new V6f, and a new download only including the loose changes from v6c - v6f will be included. The download will say " Loose file version for upgrading from v6c to v6f ". Does this make more sense, and do you think this is a good way to do it?

 

NOTE : that depending on how much longer I keep updating this mod, the list of loose file versions could get rather long, and would all be needed to be downloaded in order. I still think unpacking a BSA yourself is the best way to do it. I myself do it, it is very easy, and a much easier solution. Hopefully I won't be updating once every week or so with brand new stuff. Right?

Have another second to myself since my wife went out to the first open house of our now a 1st-grader :) , and thought I would drop a heads up like I always do ( my famous sneak peaks ) at some stuff for tomorrows update :

 

Celestial Dream set got new :

 

Ears.

A unique tail that is not only a different tail from the others but is the first that will also change color based on your chosen hair color.

Jewelry.

a 2nd skirt option.

a 3rd chest option.

a 2nd version of stockings. 2 versions now available, knee high and thigh high ( or just normal stockings ).

A new "Navel Jewel" that mimics the Wing type ( non-form ) armor and gives the passive buffs.

An update to the Dream Helm mesh \ texture that makes it look much better ( in my opinion of course ).

 

Also added are :

 

A complete rework of the naming and crafting portion of the mod. Literally 12+ hours of solid work to make sure everything was added to the crafting table in every way properly.

Small bug fixes such as typos \ items with wrong crafting requirements.

A change again to the starting Celestial Script for armor, that gives less pieces while still being unique in what it does, lowers the armor, and gives a better balance to starting a NEW Celestial than before.

 

Future plans are still :

 

Streamline the script from going from a Form to Non-Form. Add in variables for the new armors. Add in a load order sequence to the mod that is easy to understand so that any type of the crafting armor you create will be equipped for you when leaving a form, in an order. I.E : if you had every part of everything you can craft with my mod in your inventory, chances are Celestial Dream Knight ( as per the end of the script ) would be what you ended up wearing. Check armo available, do mage, warrior, knight. Do check based on armor types.

 

Think of where to go from here. I may start on a large update that will be optional that finally has me messing with quests \ dungeons \ a new land.  I want to MAYBE add in some day an entire " Celestial Plane \ Realm " that the player visits, does quests in, etc, that teaches them more about why they are a Celestial. Of course this is another mod entirely in and of itself and isn't something you should think would happen any time soon.

When do you release the Celestial VL V1 7B mod?^^

 

Right now I'm working in some other armors to port to 7B.

 

Celestial armors are amazing but very hard to port :D.

I need to improve my skills so a can keep the quality.

But i will release some day. 

This is one of my favorite mods :D

 

 

 

 

Celestials will NEVER be released on Nexus, for more than just 1 reason. There is a reason I actually LIKE LL ( LoversLab ) and decided to put Celestials here and no place else. That's not to say you can't upload it someplace else if you like. bbs.3dmgame.com asked if they could upload it to a chinease web site so they could have an easier time downloading it, and of course I told them to do whatever the fuck they wanted with it, just like I told YOU the same thing. That's just ONE of the reasons I will NEVER release something like this on Nexus, just to many rules, and even though I ask for permissions and get them whenever I can, I just feel as a modding community we should all be just, you know, doing our thing. The more we do that , and don't put restrictions on the released work, the more mods get released, and the better any single person can make THEIR Skyrim experience. 

 

 

 

Yeah understand your point.

LL gives more freedom.

But i enjoy nexus too.

Too bad it has so much drama over permissions.
