I'm in the process of moving the file from mediafire to Mega right now. I wasn't going to at first seeing as I have begun work on a new release, however after going over everything I managed to save last night it is clear this will be a bigger job than I thought. I will update this thread, as well as the Main page download link, with the new download of V5a as soon as it is available.

Downloaded V5 and used NMM to install but CTD before menu screen popped up.I tried manually installing it and game works but the mod doesn't. I'm fairly new to mods so I would be grateful if someone could help me out.

HOWEVER, I can tell you that over the rest of this summer I will be working on what is now V6ALPHA. It may still be a week or two before I feel ready to put up a V6BETA. After that V6c will be nothing but any bug fixes.

 

I'm going to stress that again. When and if V6c ever sees the light of day, it will be my last release of Celestials. Period. Just a forewarning.

 

Awesome!  I was really hoping that you would find the inspiration to work on this mod again. 

 

I started making a race mod myself.  It's really taking a lot of work to learn how to script and link everything together.  Based on my attempts, I must say that I feel your pain with having to rework stuff and want to offer you major props for everything that you've been able to pull off so far.

Actually yes i did check it was updated to newest version of skyrim and i tried to use Wrye Bash to find the problem. It told me that I was missing master "Dawnguard.esm" and "RaceCompatibility.esm". Was at this trying to figure out by myself for a good six hours reading through the comments, looking at the main page and researching. I really love your mod, which the reason I'm still going at it to make it work even if i' pretty bad at the technical aspects of mods.

1: I apologize. Most every time this problem has come up, that was the reason it wouldn't work.

2: In order to use any custom race you need RaceCompatibility.

3: I though I removed the Dawnguard requirements. THe one I uploaded then may be an older version that still has Dawnguard as required. Can anyone confirm this? If so sorry, again, I'm sorting through older stuff here.

4: Have you tried moving Celestials to the bottom of your load order list?

5: Can you select a celestial as a race when starting a new game?

6: if you open up the console and type help "celestials" do you get any listings?

1: I apologize. Most every time this problem has come up, that was the reason it wouldn't work.

Ok, after I try using NNM moving the load order to bottom or back up it seems to keep CTD either way. Manually installing the mod doesnt make the game crash immediately but the race doesn't appear in new game and console doesn't recognize the command. Even so, I thank you for replying to my problem with the mod.

How many other custom races do you have installed?

 

I have mentioned before, many people have mentioned in this thread, and I would hope by the scope of the mod you would understand, this is a pretty big mod. A simple race with head and body data, as well as starting balance, this mod is NOT. It is all those things with transformations, armors, powers, etc. At least I hope it is.

 

Basically, Celestials is pretty big and can be a hog.

I've had V5 for a while now and I was wondering, do I just replace everything from the rar files of V6? Or do I have to go through deleting everything and reinstalling.

There is a readme included, but yes, you just need to replace the BSA and the esp.

Reporting that i have a minor neck seam when using the transformation or armor. With the Devil Knight form/armor when walking the butt goes a bit weird, like it goes a little flat but when i'm just standing it remains normal. I didn't have this issue with the Angel Knight. Also, what gets to use the devil hair? When i transform i don't get the long devil hair. All in all, awesome work shaydow, glad to see an update to your awesome mod.

Is the hair no longer being added to inventory then being taken away when you change back? Is the hair craftable?

 

I have to be honest with you guys, I didn't really playtest the mod TO much. Not like I used to. I just found as much as I had already done and patchworked it together, again, that is why I called this one a BETA. I need to know these things

 

I don't and probably never will play Skyrim the way I used to. I just wanted to finish what I had shown you guys 7 months before.

 

Also the neck seem thing, I can look into it but I don't have this problem... Did you unpack the Celestials BSA and replace the Celestial body with a UNP body?

No, and I don't really see why they would. There are a plethora of Serena replacers out there, any of them are compatible with Celestials at any time, persay. Just load up a mod you like with her, or even JUST dawnguard, load Celestials as well,  find Serana as an NPC, change her race to celestial, Design facial features as you wish, save, load mod, enjoy.

 

As for her being a Celestial Vampire Lord ( replacer ), I SUPPOSE that's possible, but I never once saw her turn into a vampire lord. She has her own powers. Am I incorrect?

I need to know, do you have / have used / have NOT used FNIS / XP32's skeleton etc? I can probably narrow down what is causing the flat butt and maybe upload a fix if you help me narrow it down. Anyone else having this issue?

Have an issue getting v6 to work properly, have tried to install it both ways NNM and  manuel but cant get transform to work with any race other than the Celestial race (playing monli btw)

and v5 works with no problem, so i dont know if theres anything im doin wrong (tried both the race compati (forgot how to spell it) and ctd as soon as i try to transform)
