The effects show up when a body part reaches a certain level of wear and tear, and go away when the body part heals up below that point.  Hardcore effects are just stronger versions of the debuffs.  What the effects are and what level of damage they start at is in the database file WearAndTear_Effects.txt, and you can see your character's current wear levels in the Apropos MCM menu.

Hi Gooser,

 

What contributes towards creature abuse? I've noticed that dogs, wolves, giants and immersive creature goblins all contribute towards general abuse, not creature abuse.

The creature abuse statistics are tracked in parallel to ensure the creature tats get applied. Generally creature abuse follows general abuse, but not always.

 

I just created a new character, using LAL, and spawned a single Chaurus using Hentai Creatures, and ran it through several rounds of rapes. Sometimes Oral doesn't track, because I treat oral slightly differently (basically give is less weight in computations)

Ah, gotcha. So the creature abuse level would only get tracked if I enable the cuts and scratches textures? Am I understanding that right?

I'm liking Apropos 2 a lot more than classic. And I liked classic.

That is totally correct. In the future, it might make sense to have a separate MCM switch to enable/disable creature abuse tracking, separate from enabling the textures, but for now that one switch does it all for creature abuse tracking AND texture application.

 

Incidentally, if you produce an Apropros0.log, it can contain some really useful diagnostic info about what is going on:

Could be cool if there where other optional features linked to these wear levels (creature/daedric themed debuffs ect), but otherwise I think the current implementation works well - creatures do have some uniqueness just by virtue of some creatures triggering much bigger gains in wear per scene than others.

so I've tried... alot to try and fix this myself but its not working, I've even downgraded to the original, whats happening is everything about the mod is working fine EXCEPT text does not appear when the scenes are going on, more so, when I load up and install the mod it tells me that it can't parse ANY of the txt documents, I've made sure they're valid json files, no errors at all, they just won't register in the game :|  I have all the required mods and they are all up to date

HOW TO REPORT PROBLEMS

 

- Before reporting a problem, please verify you have installed/have the requirements above.
- Before reporting a problem, please enable both Debug and Trace messages in MCM.
- After reproducing the problem in-game, look under "My Documents\my games\Skyrim\Logs\Script\User" for specially named "Apropos0.log" file.
- Send the Apropos0.log file along with normal Papyrus0.log file.

What are you talking about?  During Refresh in MCM ? 

Did the mod work for at all? Have you made modifications?

from what I can tell the mod worked fine in every other department, I have not messed with any of the settings, I created a new save to make sure, and yes it was while mcm was refreshing, yes, and as far as posting the debug and trace messages well... File extension is .txt but the files are valid json, I can assure you. 

 

If you are seeing the message about Synonyms.txt and Arousal_descriptors.txt and you haven't edited them then I would suspect your JContainers installation.

 

I really need to see your papyrus0.log and apropos0.log files.

Please post a screenshot of the "Rebuild&Clean" tab in MCM. That is going to show me the versions of all the requirements as detected by Apropos2.

There is no official port of Apropros2 to SSE yet. Overwhelming interest is in Oldrim at this point.

 

Eventually there will be an official SSE version.

well thanks for the help XD, knowing it could have had something to do with jcontainers made me think to go redownload and reinstall it, (doing the same with apropos afterwords) and now its fixed!

Hey, i'm having an issue with W&T never decreases. Could you please have a look at my logs and see what might be wrong?

I've tried waiting for several days, change the decrease rate, change the hours needed for a decrease but it stays just the same and get's higher and higher.

What are your settings? You can export and post here. The Apropos0.log is very short and doesn't really show much. Also I need TRACE enabled in Apropos2 MCM.. Did you turn that off?

Hey, thanks for having a look, here are both settings export and a screenshot of the trace option enabled. It is short because this is a fresh start so i can be sure there are no leftovers from anything else but my current load order. So i;ve started a new game, had sex, then waited for several days, but the damage does not decay. I can post my load order too if that;s going to help.

Unfortunately, some of the W&T settings default to a kind of hardcore mode - I think most users tweak them, but you have left at the defaults:

FrequencyWearTearDegrade - change from 12 hours to something like 4 hours.

ChanceWTDegrade - change from 5% to 50% or higher.


I thought I had boosted the defaults in the 1.0.0.10 release but maybe I forgot.

Yea, I believe the new version still uses the somewhat crazy defaults, like 5% chance every 12 hours with 2,000 max wear.  Pretty sure those settings could have new users feel like W&T was stuck, since you'd have to wait a long time after hitting max wear to see the debuff levels start to decay.

Thanks. I think I will actually tie the formal Hardcore mode to those values as well, making enabling Hardcore select a set of preset values (probably 5% @ 12 hours). Defaults will be 25% @ 4 hours I think.,
