Rusty Core Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I have two female dark elves in the game that have their own lag issues whenever theyre in a dungeon or something. I know bc I disabled them temporarily via console to check and see if the lag would still be there and instaed it went away and came back when I enabled them. I've made edits to these two as described in this separate and recent forum post: The two characters are Jenassa and Karliah. Jenassa died earlier on, but Karliah still has the lag issue. Any fix for that? And this isn't 'certain direction lag" either.
Andy14 Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 Why are you opening a new thread??? You have already asked this question and got an answer.

For some reason I have low luck with responses, but if you want me to take this down I will.

For some reason I have low luck with responses, but if you want me to take this down I will. It occurred to me that you may not know what I was asking for or how to obtain it. That information can be obtained from my blog: https://www.loverslab.com/blogs/blog/1065-how-to-treat-ctds-in-skyrim-le-wip/ You will need to look at both entries for the needed information.
RW311 Posted October 17, 2018 Posted October 17, 2018 copied from the other thread about this... Well you could try this, find the karliah folder added by the mod and update the skeleton inside with the one you are currently using see if that makes any difference, make a backup of what is there to fall back on. For some reason it changes npc to use custom race then changes skeleton file path from default this could potentially cause lag issues if you were using some hdt replacement mesh for the karliah armor, I don't know if this is your case but there is no clear reason for this npc to have this custom skeleton and it's generally not a good practice to have multiple different skeletons and body meshes for npcs.

I think I understand the papyrus logging but with mod organizer isn't LOOT integrated with it? EDIT: Wish I would've read ur golden rule before id ever started playing slyrim. ive done that various times, with varying successful and unsuccessful results. who knows, maybe that's my current problem

EDIT: Wish I would've read ur golden rule before id ever started playing slyrim. ive done that various times, with varying successful and unsuccessful results. who knows, maybe that's my current problem If you have changed your load order since beginning your game you probably have fouled up your game. As my blog suggests there are things that CAN be done about that but there is only one thing that SHOULD be done about that. Quit this game and start another. Absolutely nothing replaces LOOT. Figure out what mods you want to run in your next game. Then run LOOT and FNIS. If you've added armor/clothing/similar items (such as Devious Devices) you will also want to run Bodyslide prior to starting a new game. Lest I mislead, you can run Bodyslide anytime it's just better to get into the habit of running these three before starting a new game.

I don't tthink mod organizer replaces loot, rather its one of the plugins it uses to sort the .esps, right? On the contrary, while I have done a lot of rearranging, I do have a fairly stable and running game. emphasis on fairly. I do run into occasional crashes every so often, but not so often that it truly bothers me. so I can live with that. things like this lag issue are popping up as I go through my playthrough. fps isn't bad either, btw. I shall now attempt to acquire the logs. Should I copy and paste the load order from the txt file in the profiles folder of mod organizer or should I try and somehow use LOOT? Also is it recommended that I run bethini through mod organizer or not?

Instead of going back and forth between the two posts, we should just stick to here. sorry about that. so I ask again if by skeleton you mean something like in regards to xpmse? Also im not sure if GCE replaces the skeleton. I don't think it does...
RW311 Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 GCE does replace the skeleton for both npcs you mentioned but I didn't check any of the others. I posted file location in the the other thread already.

Rusty Core Posted October 20, 2018 Author Posted October 20, 2018 Ok. I brought Karliah to some dwarven and ran around underground for a bit. From what I could tell, there was no lag. Not even when she was wearing her nightingale armor like when I had first noticed it. So I think that, for karliah, its safe to assume that's RW311s suggestion worked! I still have yet to try out Jenassa, cuz she ded. So I'll start a new game and in the process, i'll see if the fix worked for her too. Thank you all tho. I'll come back if anything comes up again

It doesn't really matter. The same people tend to check out all the technical threads, however, there are some people who are more likely to look at a SexLab thread than a player lag thread because they have more expertise in that.
