Guest Omega1084 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I bought my Skyrim at Best Buy because my slow download speeds would take forever to download the Skyrim base + 3 DLC. It would actually take two or three days if i left my PC on all day and night and didnt use the internet at all. Fuck that. Installation from disc.  I actually saw a EBGames store here in California, though it was years ago and i don't know if it's still there. GameStop wanted to become EBGames everywhere at one point but people didn't recognise them so they stayed GameStop in the U.S. and EBGames in Canada. I think they were separate entities at one point but GameStop ate EBGames.
Hayleyrose2323 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I just took a leap of faith and commented on a mod to warn people of a bug in the "Animations" mod. Probably shouldn't have but oh well. And to make things worse the only way to fix the damn bug is to uninstall the mod x.x  So i'm sure of people being thankful of knowing about it they will be all like "YOUR BASHING THEM MOD OOOOH GOOBIDY GOBBIDY BOO!"  Â
Sneaksmile Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014  Thus is the state of Nexus 'modding'. Take someone else's work, change a few things, pretend you reinvented the wheel and watch as the clueless plebes pour out the kudos and endorsements like a pack of fucking lemmings hurling themselves off of a downloading cliff.  That is the very definition of 'modding', dude. It just means expanding or modifying existing content and create new or altered content based on what is already there, in this case Skyrim or any other game that allows just that. It seems you loathe modding, that's fine and all, but if that's true I'm surprised why you made an account here at LL which is a dedicated modding site.   Totally agree with your comment GrimReaper, Modding it's based on Modify not in Create.  Greetings.
Jormungandr Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014  ..... I'm surprised why you made an account here at LL which is a dedicated modding site.  Could also ask that people showing off with private mods.   If a certain someone feels spoken to by this, let me tell you, i'm not pointing my finger at you dude, i'm talking about a certain person throwing Daz models around like sandcorns.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I never really gave a flying heap of tree sap if someone ever took any assets from my mod. It's all free and shared content. I'm mellow about that stuff because really it's not even mine to begin with. Sure, it's distasteful when someone claims it to be theirs or doesn't credit you, but there will always be people like that and you can't really do much about it except try and get that person banned. Heck I even encourage people if they want to use the stuff. Â The only thing you really own here is your imagination and creativity.
GrimReaper Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Â Â Could also ask that people showing off with private mods. Â Â If a certain someone feels spoken to by this, let me tell you, i'm not pointing my finger at you dude, i'm talking about a certain person throwing Daz models around like sandcorns. Â Â That is quite simple. You are more likely to get strokes for your ego if you boast with your private mods on a modding site than on a site that has no big interest in modding. The users here or on any other modding site want mods for their game. People that show off their mods but don't want to share generally do it for their ego. 'Look what shiny stuff I have. But I won't give it to you, I only share it with my friends.' Â On any other site they would simply get ignored. That's why they make accounts on modding sites because that's where they will most likely get the attention they want.

Chaos63 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 How come most of these bans have nothing but "by request" listed as reason, with no explanation whatsoever as to what happened? What the hell does "by request" mean?
Nergui Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 It means that person requested their account be closed and the only way Nexus can do this is with a ban. Â It is as it sounds.
D_ManXX2 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I just took a leap of faith and commented on a mod to warn people of a bug in the "Animations" mod. Probably shouldn't have but oh well. What was wrong with the animation mod ??
Chaos63 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Actually, mine was "by request". Basically what it comes down to is when you ask to have your Nexus account closed they just outright ban you. I guess having an "account closure by request" tag attached to their account would let everyone know exactly how many users are leaving Nexsux by the droves and heaven forbid they gave that impression. It comes down to their pride, they would rather say the member was "banned by request" they to just admit that they left because they got fed up with their bullshit and voluntarily quit the community. Yet another example of Nexsux true petty nature.   That's...utterly retarded. And sad. It will be a spectacle to watch them scurry around in denial once Bethesda stops shelling out games and people start massively abandoning the site. If they are really as egomaniacal as you say, I can't picture their future after they lose their super special powers and the punching bag they are abusing with them. Â
Ruppl Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55774 Who want to take bets on how long it takes for this one to get banned and end up here?  It´s just gone...  What was it???
FallenWarrior Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Don't remember, so someone has to answer that.
Alyzabeth Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:3p0JXYvAjv8J:www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/55774/+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us  Pudding ENB For None Ignorant People
Ruppl Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 Â OK, strange title for a mod, but who does not like Pudding
Guest Omega1084 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 It doesn't look like pudding, it looks like really really old shit that's been laying around so bad long*Â it turned white from being so dry. Â *- Edited because I'm a stupid C:
Guest Mogie56 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 with a name like that I can see why it is gone. only a total egotistical asshat would name a mod like that as if he or she is smarter then anyone else because they made the one millionth lame ass ENB, as if it takes a rocket scientist to tweak someone else's work. pfffft.
JerseyWalrus Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 I don't see the point in ENBs. Half of the "good ones" bring your frames to shit and the ones that don't make everything seem washed out.Â
Duoleb The Chosen Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 im happy with realvision  it sucks that no one made yet a 80's camera ENB for skyrim
Guest Omega1084 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 ELFX and Pureweather. ELFX for interior lights + Imaginator for color adjustment + Pureweather for exteriors = best ENB? C:
Guest Omega1084 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014   ELFX and Pureweather. ELFX for interior lights + Imaginator for color adjustment + Pureweather for exteriors = best ENB? C:  I haven't tried imaginator yet but that does sound like a good idea  IMAGINATOR lets you do little customizations to colors and contrast, etc from in-game in real-time. So if your favorite lighting mods don't get it just right you can fix it yourself. For example I love colors and even with ELFX and Pure Weathers the game is colorless and bland. With IMAGINATOR I did this at absolutely no performance cost: I tweaked it some more later to make it less eye-bleedy but it gets the point across. xD
Shinratsuna Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I loved this, you should do more! I find that this humor is a relief to nonstop dragon killing, and repeatable quests all day long. And the nexus has been known to ban people for pointless reasons.
Guest Omega1084 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Was it necessary to quote the entire first post? And then post a second time to reply to it? o-O
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 They should make that first post sticky so it cannot be quoted. No need to quot a wall post unless you hide it with the spoilers.
