Jormungandr Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Sorry for my ignorance but which are the pirates mods? That'd be one of them. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20911/?
Guest Omega1084 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Sorry for my ignorance but which are the pirates mods? Just look up Skyrim Pirate Mods and you'll find 'em. There's a few actually. Some of them even adding guns I believe.
Sneaksmile Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Sorry for my ignorance but which are the pirates mods? That'd be one of them. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20911/? That's a pirate mod obviously , I believed you have talking about of '' pirates '' on the meaning by example when a guy made a pirate copy of a original movie.
Guest Omega1084 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I don't think that's a thing. Torrents with pirated copies of games are a thing, though. But those aren't called mods, they're just literal pirating.
Sneaksmile Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Was my fault then, I mean ... pirate mods on that meaning would be the height , I don't know if '' height '' it's the right word but you understand me , right? .

Hmm.. what's your native tongue? I speak a few languages maybe if you say it some other way I can help. i don't think height makes sense there. o: Sorry for my ignorance but which are the pirates mods? Spanish , the only word that teach me during the English course for say '' colmo '' was '' height '' so the word I'm trying to say is '' colmo '' Are you talking about that armor with the full helmet ? it's cool
Guest Omega1084 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Oh, I see. Then I guess a pirate making a pirate mod from pirated software would be the "colmo" o3o
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Too much covered up and manly for me. Gurlz onry!

Nergui Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I once read that to combat piracy, a game developer made a code in their game that detected whether or not the game was legitimate or not. If it was, you get the normal, advertised game. If it was a pirate, it changed every single enemy in the game into actual pirates with insane amounts of health. If the pirates were actually defeated, the game then blocked you from accessing the other half of the game. Green Heart Games (developer of "Game Developer Tycoon") did something similar. They deliberately released a special version onto a torrent site with some extra code. Here's their blog post - Link Thus the pirated version of the game is unplayable.
Sneaksmile Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Too much covered up and manly for me. Gurlz onry! Yes but on my case I'm only want that full helmet for a totally nude girl can wear it. ... sexy . I think it was Battlefield 3(?) that had a special pirate version where every bullet you shot was a chicken and grenades throw were chickens. Blowing up cars made chickens shoot out of it and render the car useless. The chickens were friendly and did no damage when shot at people. That's hilarious.
JerseyWalrus Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 That's true. I don't have much of a problem with Steam (it always wins me over during sales) but there are times when the program refuses to ever start due to some extension not working properly and downloading my open-world sandbox 3D game takes forever when I have a 140 kbps download speed.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 True, but steam utilizes mods in steam workshop in their favor to gain profit. I would never in my life host a mod on Steam. Showcase my work for them to make profit? pfft.... Word spreads and Nexus got big. Nexus want to be the warehouse for every single moddable game out there. For Bethesda to bitch about piracy is funny when a large amount of console gamers have also bought the game for PC because of mods. Bethesda advantage is to keep making unfinished games. Nexus and other mod sites will provide the fixes.

Laters folks.
Guest Omega1084 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Laters. I'mma hop off too. Need some rest for tomorrow.

JerseyWalrus Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 The only things keeping me from uploading to Steam Workshop is the file limit you can upload for a mod and the lack for a manager or sorter. Sure, most mods don't hit that limit but if I ever develop a large mod, I won't be able to upload it to the workshop. I think it's because of mods that people pirate Beth games, though. They usually end up screwing themselves over during installation though. Me, personally, would buy a Beth game twice if it meant playing it on PC (assuming I bought it first on consoles). That's what I did with Skyrim. I bought it for PS3 when it came out (God, that was terrible) and when i got my PC up and running this year, I bought the Anthology and got Skyrim and Oblivion (Morrowind too but I haven't really played it much) in one package for one price then choked them full of mods, both that fix the bugs and that add awesomeness to the game with almost no hassle or frustration.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Yeah, I got the Anthology too. I still need to play the older sequels.
JerseyWalrus Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 i need to play Morrowind since it's heralded as the best one in the series.
Alyzabeth Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Stupidest ban yet! http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1884610-zappieroth132-banned/ He gets banned saying what he is going to do in his OWN game!
Kendo 2 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 i need to play Morrowind since it's heralded as the best one in the series. Story-wise, yes. The ancient graphics, interface and CGI in general make it hard for me to play though. I guess I'm not that nostalgic.
