ZAZ Animation Packs for SE

It seems that with the lastest update (ZaZ Animation Pack+ CBBE HDT V.8.0+SE2023.7z), gags don't fit correctly anymore on my PC's head and NPC's heads. I use High Poly Head for my PC and a patch for High Poly Head on Hydra's slave girls. Also male heads are affected -> see screenshots in spoiler section.

 

Gags which are affected amongst others:

ZBF Gag Leather
ZBF Gag Log Bit 02
ZBF Gag Panel 02
ZBF Muzzle Gag 02

 

I am pretty sure that the gags fit fine on the previous ZAZ version. Was there anything changed regarding gags in the new version?

When I start an animation with an npc inside a furniture from ZAZ, the npc teleports out of the furniture and starts a random animation from my packs. When the animation ends, the npc then goes back into the furniture they were previously in.

 

Is there a way to have my game recognize when an npc is using a ZAZ furniture and then play a corresponding animation instead of teleporting the npc out of the furniture and starting a random animation?

 

I have run nemesis, installed sexlab in the MCM, enabled and registered animations in SL Anim loader, and registered ZAZ animations in its MCM. I am using ZAZ helper addon to spawn furniture and place npcs inside of them, and I am using paradise halls enhanced/matchmaker to trigger the animations.

hai i dont use these much but i noticed tht suddenly couldnt use any of the furnitures. even tho last i tried everything was working fine. as i havent touched zaz i was wodnering if anyone would know why or how to fix? thank u

I can confirm that this is an issue. I also have High Poly Head installed. No clipping issues on Zaz version prior to 2023. I couldn't initially tell whether this issue was with DD 5.2 or Zaz.

Hello fellow modders, I noticed that many animation files inside ZaZ animation pack 8+ are uncompressed. They can be resaved in hkxposer to make them smaller.

While these animations by themself may work fine, if a modder is using many uncompressed animations, it may lead to CTDs at some point. Many animations here can be compressed from 350kb to 20-40kb(90% reduction), and thus unburden the skyrim engine. A modder can also do it themself, if willing to use hkxPoser.(simply open and resave the hkx)

I don't know if some information is baked inside the animation, and compressing them affect the functioning from your mods. But animations in ZAZ pack 7 seems to have a normal size, while the ones inside the other pack (8+) seems so much larger. Some are around 2000kb for 4-5 seconds animation, and can be reduced to 45kb in hkxPoser.(a more normal size for animation of that length) I guess some testing is needed, and I am not an experienced animator, perhaps there is a reason for things.

Your patch definitely fixed my CTD in Inventory when viewing the ZAZ Wrist Irons. I just loaded it as the next mod under ZAZ on the left side in MO2. Thanks so much!

 

However; now there is no image at all of the Wrist Irons there. I can live with that, but I am wondering if there is something wrong?

It’s been a while since I looked at this, but I think you should be able to see the item in your inventory.

 

If you cannot see the item in your inventory, then something else is going on in your game, that I am not sure of.

I ended up just downloading the LE version of the file....Then with Cathedral Optimizer converted it over to SE, worked fine and no red flags from windows.

 

Cathedral Optimizer has made converting the file really easy compared to how it has been in the past and it works more consistently than previous converters.

Maybe not... that we can tell. Still, if it's missing a file, the question is whether the missing file should be restored or should the reference to that missing file be deleted?

I am seeing that furniture poses seem to not be compatible with high heels. The NPC is elevated a little and it does not line up. Any advice on getting the animations aligned?

I've been using ZAZ fine for a little while and having no huge issues, but I have noticed it seems to randomly give people its collars, which while not game breaking, can be annoying and immersion breaking? Is this an intended feature? is it possible to turn that off?

That's not ZAZ that's Sexual Fame Framework. There's an option "allow re-equip". Toggle it off to remove random collars.

I remember having seen this issue quite a long time ago mentioned somewhere on Loverslab. Unfortunately I can't remember which mod it was. Which other BDSM related mods do you have installed besides ZAZ?

short question for understanding. why is ZaZ displayed 2 times in the FNIS? is that also the case with you?

two times behavior of zap present, there-maybe twice zap installed parallel-which is not meant to be working together

happenings like that are caused only by different other quest-mods-no effect of zap

Kennst du mich eigentlich noch? Wir haben früher viel geschrieben und diskutiert. Ich hatte 2 Jahre Skyrim Pause, hab viel verlernt, deswegen meine vielleicht dumme Frage.

Was ZAZ angeht, ich habe nur eine Version installiert. 8.0+. FNIS läuft fehlerfrei durch und im Spiel habe ich auch keinerlei Probleme, keine Abstürze, ZaZ Animationen laufen perfekt.

Hier ist noch meine Ladereihenfolge :

Thank you so much, this has saved me from so much irritation! This was also resonsible for another issue I was having too!

Could this be the reason? The latest ZAZ 2023 pack has two folders under Animations (see screenshot in spoiler):

that's probably the reason, two folders under animations and also 2 behavior files. thanks for your feedback.

Hallo:-) Na klar kenn´ich Dich noch.

Da gibt´s die Möglichkeit, dass ZAP 8 auch einen PLUS ordner nutzt-also das wäre dann 2-mal FNIS-behavior, weil damals ZAP/bezw. FNIS auf 270 furnitures REDUZIERT war damit auch andere MODS mit furniture-creations an die Reihe kommen können. Da aber schon damals ZAP keine weitere Konkurrenz bekam habe ich das zweimal einfach auf diesem Wege (ähnliche Namensgebung für ZAP behavior-Controller-Files) erweitert, so dass ZAP weiterhin die FNIS recourse nutzen kann. Inzwischen ist ZAP 9 bei 276+276+85 echten Furnitures und das reicht auch für ein Mod sicherlich aus. Diese Einschränkung via FNIS war Blödsinn da kaum ein anderer Mod echte Furnitures dem Spiel hinzufügt. Schon gar nicht in einer so hohen Anzahl.
