Deviously Cursed Loot SE 9.0 (2021-03-09)

Ok, wow... so much as changed since I last played on what I see everyone else calling it as, "Oldrim" now. From what I understand, Cursed Loot is still being developed which is good, and it's going through a lot of changes pretty quickly which is also good. I just wanted to say I skimmed through the topic pages else I wouldnt know what was going on.

Anyway, considering I'm new to Vortex, and Skyrim SE (Newrim?) and even these new forums, I figured I'd keep it simple stupid and have a relatively small load order, basically do my best to keep things mostly Vanilla. So other than everything required by cursed loot, and everything required by those requirements, the only other things I have are SJOven, Frostfall, Hunterborn, Predator Vision, Alternate Start, some bags and things for carry capacity, and Dynamic Timescale. Well, for me thats keeping it mostly vanilla anyway, no retextures, better lighting, changed fighting systems or different perks and armors/weapons etc this go around.

Despite that, I've ran into problems with invisible textures at the very start (despite running body slide, maybe its cuz I didnt pick the right preset or have the wrong file path?) and after the installing, uninstalling and reinstalling of many things to try fixing it then FNIS Sexy Move stopped working (despite generating FNIS afterward). On top of everything else, everytime I start it tells me NiOverride isn't installed and to install Racemenu or the standalone version. {which I think is an underlying reason why some things are exploding on my end) Doesnt it come already in Racemenu? o.O I couldnt even find a standalone version. :/

Maybe its something wrong with Vortex's automatic load order feature, but to be honest I havent yet figured out how to change it manually. >.> What more is when I run it manually it doesn't highlight any problems and no inconsistencies, and Vortex doesnt tell me anything when using the Auto FNIS feature. Why'd they change from NMM anyway? I thought that worked well enough already.


Regardless, I'm happy to lend a hand if I can as far as any testing I can do to help, I figure for helping test stuff a mostly unmodded game would be best anyway. But wow, its a lot more complicated than I thought it was going to be, and this is coming from someone with over 200 mods in Skyrim Legacy. Here I thought SE was supposed to make things harder better faster stronger~


Anyway, I assume @Kimy is still around hard at work even tho she's gone quiet here on the forum. And it's nice to meet you @Pfiffy too, I don't remember you from before but it seems like your doing a lot of hard work. If I had income right now I'd donate to your Patreon, but I know it may not mean as much I still wanted to at least say thanks for the blood, sweat, tears, time, headaches, etc.

Uhm, seeing that Kimy apparently took over Devious Devices... I assume the old guard aren't around much anymore?

Edit= So its late now, but I figured out the problem with the textures, apparently Bodyslide wasn't pointed to the right directory. Then I noticed the animations weren't working. Tried to change that and now Im stuck in a T-pose~ guess thats some kind of progress since I know its doing something. Im thinking it has something to do with the XPMSSE skeleton, or some other problem with where I pointed FNIS to work at. Maybe its because I have Skyrim installed on my G drive instead of the C~ Not sure, I'll try some more after I wake up.

Thank you very much. The problem, in the end, was that I wasn't aware of a new version being available. I installed this mod for the first time a month ago, and now see there's a new version - updating to that fixed the problem. Now if I can get corsets to stop clipping through my tummy and Dragonar Jail start to not CTD - I'll be happy! :D

For me, it's easier to open the creation kit and export the facegen. resaving it as alain31 mentioned should also work.

Ah thank you! Windows was being more of an idiot than me when I used the search bar for FaceGenData and only showing me a follower's FaceGenData in my download folder. I found it very quickly with your reply.

yes, it can be added in the middle of a play through.

 

you should only use one body physics mod. pick cpb or dragonfly, or use the new cbpc.

check the first post for the conflicts - it looks like only submit will conflict. but to resolve that you need the mcm for dcl. none of the conflicts would prevent the mcm from loading, they affect gameplay and events.

double check to see that the dcl esp is activated. if it is, it could just be too much running for it to finish initializing quickly.

in the console, you can try setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1, or you can try waiting in a small cell without much in it (like a small npc house or the lal cell).

 

Easiest way to see if it's the mod or your save is to try starting a new game and see if the mcm initializes on a new game

NiOverride is replaced by skee in racemenu now. For se ports, we are having to update the script checks to look for either nioverride or skee, but we don't change the error message in game.

So that means if you are getting a warning that nioverride is not installed you either don't have racemenu se installed, or you have a script that hasn't been updated.

For DCL, i think the only one that pfiffy forgot to grab when he uploaded the port was this one:

If it's not any of those, then post the exact error you're getting with nioverride.

 

For vortex, there is no manual sorting - you need  to  forget about ever doing that. But it's not a bad feature, you're just going to need to change how you do things.

If you find a mod that is not loading in the correct order, you create a rule (on the plugin page) to tell vortex that it needs to go before or after some other mod. Just be aware that before or after means only that - before or after. it could end up being immediately before or after, or there could be 20 mods between the two. Try not to get too hung up on exact position - trying to force vortex to do an exact position is a way to quickly get frustrated.

 

there some news items about vortex and why - basically, they hired Tannin (who coded mod organizer) and he's tried to create a mod manager that takes the best of mo and nmm into one manager. I  like it, but it has some limitations that annoy me when i'm working with loose files, so i'm back to mo for now.

Ya mean this? Yea I was googling stuff and it suggested I install that, which I just did actually before I noticed you replied. I dont really know how to use github but I think I found what they were saying.

Hmm, from my current stance trying to find out and fix what went wrong, I would normally assume racemenu didnt install correctly, but it seemed to work just fine when I made a character.

Hmm, where would I need to put that? Otherwise, I saw a couple pages back someone put a link for this so I've tried using that instead of the 6.4 one on the main/first page of this topic. To be honest with the new forum, I've no idea how to find anything like that unless someone shows me.

Ah, so you're on the team too? I didnt want to assume. But hey, and thanks, both for your work and for the reply.

 

 


Anyway... I got the issue of no textures sorted, it was a problem with Vortex/Body Slide not installing them to the right destination. After correcting it (im not "exactly" sure what I did to fix it, but dont fix what aint broken anymore!) and I could see my body, then I noticed I was stuck in the famous T-Pose. But I "think" I got the issue with FNIS sorted... again the issue was a bad destination.

Im still stuck in the t-pose tho, so I cant be sure. I think it may have something to do with the skeleton not being installed correctly since a T-Pose is usually something skeleton related. So if you know how to manually install XPMSSE to make sure its done right I'd appreciate the advice. Or maybe better yet, maybe you know some simple step I probably didnt do or did wrong when I first set up Vortex? It seems thats what all my issues have in common. Its my first time using Vortex tho so it could easily see it being some user to keyboard error I fell into.

Other than that, could the problem be related with NiOveride? Its just as possible Racemenu wasn't installed correctly and that file for it isn't where its supposed to be. I just dont understand why the rest of it would supposedly work. So far this installer seems to drop the ball when it comes to these little complicated things but otherwise works fine.

yeah I have tried vortex in the past and I like the look and feel of the interface. I just remember there being too many other issues with it which is why I switched back to NMM. I had tried MO but its weird, I think if you start on MO you like MO better than NMM and if you started on NMM you usually like that better. I think its just a matter of comfort and getting used to one or the other. While they both do the same thing the UI's are very different.

Actually, just use the racemenu se - it's getting updated now so there's no need to use the old instructions to get the skee dll from github unless you're hitting some specific bug and you're told to use it.

Missed that the first time around, sorry. If that was coming from DCL, it would tell you that boots or something else needed it, so some other mod then. You said you were using soul gem oven right? I think that may be where that is coming from, now that I think about it. Try SGO4, or this script I updated for SGO3. If you switch to SGO4, you do not need the script attached to this post.

Scripts go in the scripts folder. If you want to drop it in, find your Vortex installed mods folder, mine is like this:

DCL: Vortex Mods\skyrimse\mods\SexLab Deviously Cursed Loot 8.3\Scripts

 

Or if you don't want Vortex yelling at you that you changed a file, create a folder named scripts, put the script in the folder and zip up the folder to add to Vortex. install it like a mod and let it overwrite the script in DCL or SGO3.

 

We aren't on the official DD team. :)  We're just some of the poor fools who worked together with a lot of other stubborn folks to figure out some of the harder to port over stuff.

There are some scripts that you need to overwrite, but you can use the ones from the previous se port, they haven't changed lately.

 

These are the scripts from my working directory when I was updating them for pfiffy:

ok awesome, was using 6.4 but doing a clean install after testing some more sexlab mods ?. Wanted to keep using the latest pop version so i need 8.3, Thanks again

Hmm... well thats good I guess, but I was using racemenu originally so thats probably not it~

Hmm, well you were right. I tried deleting SGO3 and then using SGO4, but then it froze on a black screen when I tried to load the game. I figure I probaly messed up something with github since it doesnt just have a "download HERE!" button. But, without SGO3 on afterward I noticed the NiOveride warning went away. I still have the problem of a T-Pose tho.

I wouldn't try downloading sgo4 from the repository itself. darkconsole added a download link on the readme page you should use:

Do you have anything overwriting the skeleton on the mod install page in vortex? iirc, conflicts are the lightning bolts - click on that next to xpmse to make sure nothing overwrites it except maybe mnc. I wouldn't try to manually install it, too many options in the fomod. make sure you only do the conflict resolution on one side - if you tell sos to load before xpmse, you can't tell xmpse to load after sos, because you already set it up in sos. if you do both, vortex complains until you remove one.

 

For the link you have on installing xpmse, those instructions are very outdated now, you should be able to just install it like you would for LE. you're likely to get yourself in trouble if you follow those instructions now.

 

For fnis settings in vortex, do you have skeleton arm fix checked?

You should also be able to run fnis manually from the vortex dashboard. if the icon isn't colored, click the 3 dots and browse to the path where fnis is installed.

when you run fnis manually, are there  any errors? copy all the output from the top window after you try running it and post it here.

 

a final thought - sgo3 had some animations that needed converted, that might have caused the t-pose problem too. did you run fnis again after removing sgo3 and after installing sgo4?

No lightning bolts~ I honestly wouldnt even know where to look for lightning bolts normally but I saw something about it on youtube so I assume you mean here-ish around category right? Also, yea I know to run it as Admin in case you were going to ask.

what version of dcl are you using? Do you have 8.1 and the 8.2 upgrade pfiffy linked?

So, as of a couple weeks ago, I had sacrificed enough chickens, danced naked around my PC long enough, and muddled through instructions I barely understood enough to have everything that I thought was fixed graphically fixed.

 

Then I finished the bound queen quest and got out of those restraints. To celebrate I decided to attack the 'oh my god my breasts are lethal weapons when I put that on' issue, and discovered the 'body scales' tab on racemenu. It fixed it to my satisfaction, reducing those scale sliders. Next up was 2 tours in Dagonar's prison. (I played through it once, and for rreasons, abandoned my post-prison save and reloaded my pre-prison save and ran through it again. I had something on me marked stolen I didn't wish to lose, so I had to reload and store said item) Toward the end of the second runthrough I started getting minor clipping where I hadn't gotten it before. Like a small patch on the right side of the black armbinder. Like I said, minor.

 

Upon release, I left the inn in Kynsegrove, which is where I had been ported  to, and, there was a dragon attacking it. I win (yay) and when I looted it, a DCL trap went off and locked me in, among other things, a gold chastity bra. (for half a moment I thought it had used Queen Sarah's bra, but no) The problem being that the bra was now clipping through the bottom 3rd of my breast. I remembered reading that you need to bodyslide build with the build morphs button checked to get the stuff to respond when using the bodyslide sliders, but I didn't read that until after I had gotten everything seemingly fixed 2 weeks ago, so I didn't want to mess with what I had working. Now, since I had something that was for some reason broken, I thought it might have something to do with it, and redid my bodyslide batch build. It made everything worse. You couldn't see the front of a chastity belt at all, and a restrictive corset was entirely within my body.  The originally offending chastity bra was now only visible on maybe the top 20% of my breasts.

 

This was the same files that gave me my working DD items 2 weeks ago, I hadn't changed anything so I was totally baffled. I rebuilt again, without the morphs button, but no change.  I was out of chickens and it's too early in the morning for naked dancing. I tried re-installing some of the DCL CBBE patches that have been released, and rebuilt again...(without morphs)

Everything seems back how it was (except that the bare patch on the black armbinder moved from the right side to the left side.) except for the chastity bra. When I equip it, it seems right for about 2 seconds and then it seems to..shift? and goes back to clipping through 80% of my breast.

 

I've tried asking for help before, without much response. I suspect it's because I don't have any supporting info. I'm new to this sort of thing. I don't know how to list out your load order via text like people do. My solution would be to post screenshots of my Vortex page. but it seems inelegant. I don't know how to hide text. I suppose I could get papyrus but at the moment that just seems like another level of complexity to struggle through. I know that DCL makes a log, but searching for it has only lead me to some 'logs' with like 3 lines acknowledging it's installed. If papyrus would help, I'll go and figure out how to get that working.

The zadslaveboot.pex file you linked to earlier. Will that cure the CTD from the heretical slave boots?

Before I was using 6.4 which was on the main page. Then I switched to 8.3 actually, figured that was the latest one. It was posted a few pages back.

Sure, thanks, I guess I can try giving them a try. In case I have no idea what Im doing tho (Hint: I have no idea what Im doing) do you think you can upload the fixed version of that file? I'm assuming if others arent having this problem then someone must have a working file~? That way I could just find it and replace it easily enough.

 

Edit: Or not, i tried the 8.1 and the 8.2 patch and didnt get an error, so Ill just use that one. I tried this cathedral thing and have no idea what Im doing ?

Silly question. Did you by chance already try to use the Deviant Devices option for "Breast Node Management" in the MCM menu?

Otherwise, Im not in much of a boat to give advice considering I couldnt even play the darn thing to begin with because of a weird T-Pose that apparently only I suffer with. :/ But~ when it comes to body slide I always found it best for my sanity to just try using the default without messing with it any. I know, it defeats the purpose of body slide, but I was fine with it and it avoided most issues others have when trying to customize.

Otherwise I know DCL has some option to make your breasts bigger when your "Exposure" is high. You could disable that, or lower the multiplier.

I missed that option. I'll try it. 

 

My breasts were already bigger than the Hindenberg, before I found the racemenu sliders, when I put things on. I had all the arousal exposure options turned off. 

 

Edit: Hmm. That option was grayed out.  I wonder what that means....

It means you probably have some kind of deviant device on. They lock the menu when you're tied up/etc

 

Btw, if you have jiggly chastity bras and it bugs you, just uncheck the HDT variant in body slide.

I don't have any physics at all. 

 

As I understand it the only place to get the HDT files for the current script extender is on a Chinese site.  I followed the huge guide someone posted on earlier pages for installing DD and DCL (I think it was this thread, it might have been DD's support thread.) and even asked for clarity, to which I got no response. But it didn't mention physics. I think I could install SMP, but am scared to break something. 

 

Oh, and yeah. I thought of that while I was in the middle of playing D3 with a buddy, that I had the bra equipped when I was looking. Unchecking the box did fix my issue. And unchecking the belly node button fixed my clipping corset. I had given up on that one and just made up imagined lore that in skyrim navels were considered erotic.

Yeah, 8.3 is the latest one for LE, but it hasn't been ported over to SE yet. Unless you know what you are doing with porting mods over, i don't recommend starting with that one, because you'll need to do a search for the fixed scripts, or recompile the scripts yourself, as well as convert the animations.

No, the script only fixes the nioverride warning. To fix the CTD from heretical and other HTD items, you need the DDHOTFIX, have that overwrite your bodyslided files.

The problem with the clipping is that the LE CBBE body is not the same as the SE CBBE body. There are some files that fix most of the issues, but not all. it is being worked on.

I'll find the files and post them in a bit, in case you missed them.
