Another detail I just remembered is that every time it has happened my character was wearing a hobble dress, and for whatever reason the hobble dress animations seem to not want to play and my character doesn't seem to get affected by the slowdown from them either. 

Never looked at the modding guide, I was modding skyrim before SE, and it's the same process mostly. Some things no longer apply, like the mem fixes, and there's nice things like esl, but mostly it's the same.

 

Have you got .NET script framework installed? and while I'm thinking about it, sse engine fixes? engine fixes for the  fixes, .net script framework can help with isolating what is causing a CTD.

I actually don't have the .net framework, let me grab that, and is there any clean and easy way to post my load order?

So I got the script framework installed and reproduced the crash and this is what was in the log

Should be something right at the top if it's obvious. if it's not obvious, then you'll probably need an expert to read it. could you attach the log?  i'm looking for something like this:

Is it normal for none of the Catsuits to be the color they claim to be? All of the ones in my game show up as a strange blueish color, no matter which color they are named (including the transparent one).

If it isn't normal, how do I fix it?

So I think I've encountered a new bug. It seems that there is a cowbell sound effect that plays when my PC moves but there is no devices present. There are no hidden items listed in player.inv.

 

Performing player.resurrect or player.recycleactor ends the sound but then kills the DCL mod. However saving, quitting and loading the save after resurrect/recycleactor does not fix the issue with the cowbell sound.

 

I seriously feel like this character is in a bad SNL skit with Christopher Walken and Will Ferrell...

 

Let me know if any info is needed.

Blueish or purplish colors indicate missing textures. try reinstalling, and make sure you run bodyslide.

sounds like one of the plugs with a bell may have gotten stuck? If you don't have any items on and aren't on any DCL quests, try the free me option. if you are in a quest, try equipping one of the plugs, then save, reload and unequip it, see if that jars it loose.

In the MCM? No.

On console? I have no idea. You could ask in the LE thread for DDi.

 

I know devious devices equip can check for devices on the player, and has options to target an NPC, so that could work for you.

Im asking about a function inside the creation kit to set up dialogue based on wether or not an actor is equiped with DD stuff

 

and yes. I guess asking in the LE thread too wont hurt ..

All I've done is check the scripts for nioverride when converting, and I don't think Pfiffy has done too much delving into scripts and functions when he converted the plugins. And Kimy doesn't monitor this thread like she does the LE ones, this is mostly for conversion issues. All development is still only done on the LE side.

 

There are checks in the scripts for if a device is there when it's equipped, I don't see anything on a quick glance at file names that relates to dialogue. If it's not in DD, it might be in DCL, since the Dollmaker can check the player for devices.

A shot in the dark: checking the actor for a specific magic effect, or its keyword.

Apologies as that was the first step that I performed. It is a strange problem.

I already did that but there are a lot of keywords and I didnt find one that seemed to express what I was looking for

 

Anyway, I got help in the LE thread. Guess I was just blind (silly me). Thanks anyway :)

If that isn't fixing it, maybe it's skyrim being skyrim. Just saw a bug myself where my character disappeared in 3rd person when no magic, potions, abilities, etc were applied.

 

Googling around for audio problems, the fix seems to be the same as what I had to do to fix my visual bug lol.

 

in the console, type 'sexchange' wait until your character changes, then sexchange again.

or instead of using the console to change sex, use beast or vampire lord form

go somewhere with another sound like a word wall or the clear skies in high hrothgar and stand near them to see if it overrides your stuck sound.

I am new to modding. Vortex is saying the DeviousDevices.dll is 'reported as incompatible during query' to the latest version of SKSE64. How do I fix this?

I couldn't agree more. Tried sexchange and that didn't work. Also fun note, If I attached another whore bell, it plays the sound 2 times... and that sound is horrible hahahaha! 

 

I didn't have an answer and nothing worked, I had to delete this character. I have a hypothesis on what caused the issue and it had to do with getting a bondage adventure while having that equipped. 

 

Ahh well to that.

When you installed DD, make sure you select none. There's been a few reports of vortex misreporting the dll compatibility, so if you installed it right, you can verify yourself by checking the skse64 log.

 

The skse64.log is in \My Documents\my games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE.


The first line should say something like this:

SKSE64 runtime: initialize (version = 2.0.17 01050610 01D600732D29FF79, os = 6.2 (9200))


Then search for devious devices. If it's working, it says something like this:

checking plugin D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\DeviousDevices.dll
plugin D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\DeviousDevices.dll (00000001 DDiUtil 00000001) loaded correctly

 

If it's working, ignore vortex. it may go away after running again, but if not, it doesn't matter.

If there's an error, reinstall dd and select none for the dll.

Hi there. I faced a strange issue with this mod even after following every step of installation. After wearing belts, or full strait jackets or whatever item that covers belly, the belly becomes extremely large like a pregnant one. I already used batch build for all devices in Body Slider and I do not use any mod regarding belly size like milk economy and etc. I have devious devices and deviously cursed loots installed. I also tried turning body scaling/cum inflating options on DCL on and off, deactivating my physics mods like CBBE, but nothing seems to work. I also have HDT SMP installed. What can be the issue?
