Something weird on your end.

 

The file, right-click it and select "Properties"

See if any of the tabs have "blocked" on them

This is going to sound stupid, but . . .

 

Did you try rebooting the system?

Make sure there's no pending windows updates as well. My internet sucks when there's an update until I've installed it. And that's with turning off all the peer/seed stuff for the updates.

HA that made me laugh man. not stupid at all. but yeah i did. and i figured it out. turns out that, even though i don't use Edge, the general internet options were active, and the use SSL 3.0 option under internet option wasn't even checked. soon as i checked that, it worked.

 

thanks for the helps. i'd suggest that maybe this should be noted somewhere on an FAQ or something, in case someone else ever comes across this. such a simple and yet stupid thing, but it works now and that's what counts. thanks

I've looked. MS has set it up so that you're just about guaranteed to hose windows if you do that. They've tied a lot of OS things to it. Nothing I saw said it was safe to do.

On an unrelated topic - does anyone happen to know what mod causes Serana to make lewd comments? For example, every time I bump into her, she says something like:

 

"Uh. Did you mean to grab my ass?" or "I lost my hood somewhere, did you take it?"

 

And she makes comments all throughout Dawnguard, like talking about how the player character needs to be careful because her father "prefers young women", or when a Chaurus appears she'll comment something like "Kill it quickly, these things stuff women full of eggs", or while going through Castle Volikhar talking about how she used to sleep with a pet skeever or something.

 

It's driving me nuts that I can't figure out which mod does this so I can disable it, I don't want to hear all this porno dialogue from her.

Sexlab Dialogues

 

 

Alternatively I strongly recommend installing xEdit (aka SSEdit), load all your plugins, wait until the software is done loading, right click anywhere and select "Apply Filter"

 

There you'll want to set the window just like mine (check all the the boxes highlited in red, uncheck everything else):

 

It should leave you with the relevant dialogues. Be sure to share the mod's name!

It may be because it's an LE mod and requires conversion.

This is working now, but you need to install the ESP for the nexus Estrus.  I tested it for a few hours.  The good thing about it is it can be set to do only some containers, so it will not pop up opening barrels.  you could set it to only work on boss chests.

This has potential. I can see it being useful for 3ba equipping the HDT item at the beginning of sex scenes, off the top of my head.

Tested it, and deinstalled it. Not for the way I play.

Changes too much on behavior, like I prefer when walking backwards, I walk backwards.

Headtracking, I prefer the old headtracking.

I switched off the 360 degr. and headtracking, and tested some stuff. until I run into a invisible barrier around a bandit camp.

Save, deactivated this mod, loaded--barrier was gone. Not sure, if it was caused by this, but very possible, as I used also 1. person

sometimes.

But it might be a solution for those using 360degree.
