drose25 Posted February 9, 2025 Posted February 9, 2025 I have run into an odd issue with SexLab and I was wondering if anyone else has encountered it. I updated Sexlab to 1.66b and it works as expected with one caveat: it no longer saves Sex Journal information, like an NPC's sexuality, between game sessions. This only happens with follower mods that have been marked as Light/ESL. If I mark the same mod as Regular and then change the NPC's sexuality in Sex Journal it saves correctly. This is new behavior, and followers from Light mods that had their sexualities changed before I updated have kept those changes. There's a similar bug report on the Github from last spring about SexLab not saving data for actors from esl mods since the last update but there's no response or suggested solutions. I'm hoping someone here has run into this issue and managed to wrangle it.  I am running:  Skyrim SE/AE 1.6.1170 PapyrusUtil 4.6 PapyrusExtender 5.9.0 SKSE 2.2.6 SKSE Address Library v11 (for 1.6.x) SkyUI 5.2SE FNIS 7.6
Goblin-Slayer Posted February 10, 2025 Posted February 10, 2025 (edited) I'm wondering if its ok to use sexlab mods with custom followers that use their own framework (like Sofia, Auri, Daegon, Serana (extended dialogue version), etc) or if using mods like defeat, horrible harassment, match maker, etc. can break them. Â I've been using those mods on my female Main Character for years without any problem but I know that certain mods can break "the brain" of followers like using a follower framework on Inigo. delta5o1 Posted February 11, 2025 Posted February 11, 2025 I followed a visual mod guide that had me downgrade to 1.6.353.0Â Â Which version do I download?
BeanieBaby122 Posted February 11, 2025 Posted February 11, 2025 So after downloading a couple of times and messing around with some things and using FNIS, it still says that SexLabdll.Util and Papyrusutil.dll are incompatible, I am very lost on what to do next, I am not a very savvy person when it comes to this stuff. Someone help please? Â

Make a note of that version number. Â All of this has been posted ad infinitum but nobody has the wit to read any more. Edited February 11, 2025 by Grey Cloud
drose25 Posted February 11, 2025 Posted February 11, 2025 You do not have the proper versions of Sexlab and PapyrusUtils installed for your version of Skyrim. You need to know the actual version number of your Skyrim exe file. For example, the latest version on Steam is 1.6.1170. Since you can't load into the game to check your number you can get it by hovering your mouse over the skyrim.exe file in the game's install folder.  If you have Skyrim SE/AE v. 1.6.1170 then you need:  PapyrusUtil v. 4.6 PapyrusExtender v. 5.9.0  If you have a different version, then you need to go to the Nexus page for those mods and download the version that corresponds to your Skyrim version. It may be listed under Old Files.

I downloaded the correct version for my Skyrim, do I need to download a separate papyrus? When I look in the folder for Skyrim where it tells me to look to make sure that it’s downloaded correctly, it’s all there both of the DLL.

Just an fyi, when you're asking for help be as specific as possible, i.e. version numbers and not 'the latest' or 'correct'. We all overlook things from time to time and fresh eyes might see something. You may be right that you have the correct version number but you're the one asking for help. Whoever is trying to help you wants to know the details so they can point you in the right (or at least a possible) direction. Casandor26 Posted February 15, 2025 Posted February 15, 2025 (edited) For some reason, on my setup with SexLabFrameworkSE_v163, 1.5.97, OBody Next Generation ORefit JSON Master List decide to make my Sexlab MCM not showing up on new game. Can someone else test it to see if it was case/ mod list specific only or did it really cause the problem for everyone? Some old guide said that for 1.5.97, SL v163 comes with its own papyrus util so PapyrusUtil SE v39 shouldn't be installed or shouldn't overwrite SL. Is it true for others version of sexlab or anyone specify which version of sexlab should we let papyrus util overwrite it? Edit: It just me talking nonsense again. In my build it was caused by Devious Devices NG and/or SexLab Utility Plus. I decide to remove SexLab Utility Plus and Sexlab MCM shows up again. Edited February 21, 2025 by Casandor26

Install and run FNIS/Pandora correctly for your modding app. That means installing and running them from Mod Organizer 2 and Vortex. They should never be installed and ran from the root directory. Their app output should overwrite everything else so the generated behavior files are used. If you can't click the install button in the MCM: Scroll in and out of 3rd person so your animation/fnis variables update then check again. Hover over each of the prerequisites that are showing as invalid to see if it has a reason listed WHY it's invalid. If you can't see whether or not any of the requirements are valid/invalid, lower your font size in menus so you can actually see which are showing as wrong. I don't care what version you're using of Skyrim. The mod works perfectly fine with that version if you installed it correctly and used the right version. The fault 100% lies with you. If you're using 1.5.97, don't expect real help and don't expect to be catered to in updates to the mod. Just update your game already; modern versions are perfectly fine and supported. If a mod not supported by 1.6.xx+ makes you refuse to update, your install problems are 100% of your own making. If you're using GOG, install the correct version of both the mod and the game. Everything listed above is an incredibly painfully basic Skyrim modding procedure. It really is a simple procedure for a simple community once you learn what an esp/esm/esl file is, and what file priority and overwrite means in a mod manager vs load order. This is all way more simplified and obvious on Mod Organizer 2. Load order and mod order are NOT the same thing. Ignore what everybody says about Vortex/NMM being equal with Mod Organizer 2 (MO2); it isn't. Vortex/NMM is objectively worse; I don't care what others say. Vortex/NMM stupidly obfuscates many essential details that generally help you learn and troubleshoot. MO2 is easier to read, easier to learn, easier to fix, and easier to diagnose shit with. There is literally nothing that isn't easier to do with MO2. Vortex is only equal to MO2 if you know what you are doing and how it works compared to other mod managers. Unfortunately, it's positioned as the "beginner" mod manager, so beginners use it to install things incorrectly. These problems are less pronounced and more straightforward to diagnose if you start out using MO2 to being with. If you're serious about modding Skyrim, make the switch to MO2 instead of Vortex, I promise you'll be glad you did.    I promise anybody and everybody. This mod works 100% correctly for the stated versions that are downloadable. It's really not that complicated once you actually learn how Skyrim's modding format works, which is something anybody seriously installing mods for the game should learn. I have to agree and ... not agree. You see the world of Loverlab mods requires a great deal of reading, tweaking, testing and experimentation. I have a habit of recycling my games and starting over from scratch with a fresh install of the base game. I have done this many times and it's never an easy task when it comes to everything Loverslab. But, with patience and persistence, yes, Sexlab works just fine. I've used it for a lot of years even in the face of new choices like Pandora. Why? Because it works, why fuck with something that works? It does the job I want it to. Problem is that is my background, for most people, all this flies way over their heads, which is why that 'other' site is so popular. Mods are independent for the most part, just install and go. And maybe people are spoiled by that, as there is a ton of interactions to the mods here.  It's not perfect but is anything? The time to get an animation to start can be a bit, but recently I turned off using beds and furniture and that has speeded it up considerably without the constant scanning for said items when a scene starts.  People, you do need to read the requirements carefully and follow instructions to the letter. Deviate, and things are gonna go to shit. Use the instructions provided by Ashal in the Sexlab thread and no other. That's a problem here is that there are multiple pages with slightly different versions and instructions, a lot of them being extremely outdated by this time, but they are still there and people keep stumbling on them when they use a google search. Don't search Loverslab mods off of Google, you will seldom find the right thread you want. Use Loverslab, find the official thread for the mod you want to install, and read carefully. 1
Tlam99 Posted February 17, 2025 Posted February 17, 2025 If I have to download specific versions with lots of depencies, I do it like that: Â Place a sheet of paper and a pencil besides me. Write down the game version (actually not, know it out of my mind) Make notes what I need, evt. even the IP. Go to the depency pages, write down the IP again and the page Nr. where I found it, if lots of pages. Make notes again, if important things are there I should remember. It takes quite long maybe an h. At the end I got all info I need. Â Maybe I am too old for the NG installation process; please author, pack everything into 3 sentences with all the links and tell me what version I have. But for me the old fashioned way just works. Â
paintsniffer12 Posted February 20, 2025 Posted February 20, 2025 How do I install this on Mod Organizer 2. Yes, I read the instructions, and somehow still fucked it up. How exactly (as if explaining to a baby) does one install this to Mod Organizer 2?
yanderekyo Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 Idk what the issue is. Im on 1170, have 166b version, everything is up to date in regards to SKSE, PapyrusUtils, Papyrus Extender, etc... Mod order is proper, with PapyrusUtils overwriting SexLab... Â Still doesn't work. "DLL is incompatible." ??? Help??

paintsniffer12 Posted February 21, 2025 Posted February 21, 2025 I cannot get sexlab to install properly on MO2. When I do it and I then go to look at the files they are all folders with nothing in them. sexlab.esm is also nowhere to be found.

TheManTheManTheMan2424 Posted February 23, 2025 Posted February 23, 2025 does anyone know a reliable way to open ALL animations for certain creatures during a scene? for example, dragon priests have an animation titled blowjob, however during scenes, I cannot play or switch to it. I only have about 4 options available despite knowing more are available to play during scenes, and I have my settings configured (AFAIK) to allow consensual and other animations not containing all tags for the scenario playing (regardless of scenario). certain creatures (dragon priests, horkers, etc.) have little to no animations available to switch, while others (wolves, bandits, etc.) all have dozens of options available, including defeat animations, consensual, non consensual, and others uncategorized. I do use defeat, SC matchmaker, aroused creatures, and all of the requirements for those. is there an option or filter I missed somewhere maybe? and if not, is there a mod that simply allows every animation (for the NPCs involved obv) to be utilized instead of following every tag, or just not being seemingly accessible at all?

Tearoth Posted February 24, 2025 Posted February 24, 2025 My current playthrough acts up, with 1.63 on 1.5.97 Whenever i engage with other humans, it plays Creature animations instead, resulting in one of the actors just standing around, while the other plays half of the animation for creatures. Any ideas?
