Must have just been a design choice. They did the same thing when going from Ruby and Sapphire to Emerald by adding green to their outfits.

So that's what the "DP" version stands for? That's the version in Diamond and Pearl? Because I like that version of Dawn more and would rather use it. I like the scarf and the proportions look better overall. She's really cute in the walking sprites near the bottom. Maybe I'm missing something (I usually am; I have a habit of making a fool of myself) but I've played Moemon Platinum quite a lot (Crobat my beloved) and I don't remember alternate outfits.

Either way, there's quite a few nitpicks I could point out in there, and I just might have a crack at it myself once I have my other PC built. The jank and chonk in places is bothering me, but this machine is acting weird and I don't want it to suddenly fail on me after like 5 hours of perfectionist pixel surgery. Already had GIMP just decide to crash and delete all 90 minutes of work once this month. It was just a meme, but it was a good fucking meme and I'm still mad about it. Especially after I reported it on Reddit and I got Reddited by Redditors so hard that my keyboard smelled like Cheetos for a week.

I'll put it on my desktop so I don't forget. I do that a lot too.

Development of the game has also stopped, so the market is totally open in that area again. Yet another victim of feature creep. The spritework of the "scenes" was...not great anyway. At least it knew when to shut the hell up, unlike Girls Hunter. One-hundred-eighteen A presses in a single cutscene is un-fucking-real.

Yeah, I was thinking more of a whole region, around the size of the GBA regions or so. Maybe there could be a snowy mountainous area where the trainers all have a Fire type in their team to keep warm. Y'know, keep things silly and light hearted.

Well, you're free to make adjustments to sprites at any time. Nude Platinum is an open, collaborative project. I posted the protagonist overworld sprites with version 7-0-6 if you want to look at those too.

For the alts, that's just because some people want Dawn with boots and some people want Dawn without boots. I'm going to end up making two versions of Nude Platinum at the end anyway, so that's why the alts are there. (unless what you're talking about is Dawn and Lucas's special sprites for contests.) I'd be happy to make a version of Nude Platinum with Dawn's DP sprites for you, though I am still going to make a Diamond and Pearl version of the mod.

Speaking of catching humans, I previously had the idea of making a game on Pokessentials where in place of Pokemon, Monster Girls were caught. Of course, that's no longer a Pokemon game.

@Catnatic Having just beaten Roxanne and reading all the dialogue edits i could, i had an idea and am asking for your feedback, since it's your mod and i have no romhacking experience to tell me how feasible the idea is.

 

I had the idea of using the dialogue edits of the gym advice NPC (not sure how else to describe him) imply the player character is becoming more comfortable with their nudity and becoming a proper nudist.

 

And maybe some dialogue with Norman before and after beating him could implyi he got you clothes (which you refuse, having become fully nudist by then) and that you try and convince him and Mom to become nudist themselves respectively. 

 

What is want feedback on the most for these idea is if it's possible to have dialogue and sprite edits set to certain triggers (like needing to be champion for a certain NPC sprite to change) or if that's not feasible.

 

You don't really need to implement my idea if you think it's not in the spirit of the mod's story, but I think it would be a neat "reward" , for lack of a better term, to have the player's family join them in nudism after the long journey to Champion.

My main priority is just rewriting the games' dialogue to reference your nudity.

I guess you could just edit Norman's dialogue for talking to him after getting his badge but before you can rematch to imply he'll discuss it with the protagonist's mom and leave it to the players' interpretation whether they go through or not.

Nude Platinum 7-0-7 is nearly complete. There are just a few more adjustments I would like made before I remake it in a form that will be compatible with patching it to other hacks.

I know for a fact that, at the very least, I want the random white pixels on Dawn's overworld sprites to go away. Plus, I need to fix her battle sprite palette at some point.

If you use pkhex to download and load your save file, then yes, your save will be compatible. Though, you will have to export the save file from the previous version and import that save file into the new one by naming it the right thing.

 

If a gen 3 hack is what you are looking for, might I suggest looking at my list on page 15?

Pigment Ruby, Emerald Naturist Edition, My Ass Lewd Version, Exposed Emerald, Emerald Nude Version, Emerald X, and Psychic Adventures are all good hacks.

We can't give you them directly in this thread because that is against the rules. But, you should be able to find them through some searching.

I decided to just say "fuck it" and do it anyway before I embarrass myself by not doing it at all. Here it is.



Everyone now has consistent proportions. Most of this was on Dawn, Cheryl, Marley, and Dahlia.

In everything I worked on, I also adjusted the shading to try to have a consistent light source. These were usually small adjustments, but a few of them were pretty significant.

Gave Cynthia appropriate glutes. Just a tiny edit to alleviate her tree trunk legs.

Adjusted Candice's ribs and hips slightly.

Gave everyone shoulderblades.

Gave Dawn collarbones. 

Fixed poor Cheryl's broken arm in the last frame. Basically redrew the whole thing. Had to draw a wrist in the process, too.

Every depiction of Dawn is less chonky and has wrists now. I'm pretty sure the issue with her is the previous edits didn't account for the fact she was wearing a coat and basically just followed the silhouette wholesale. Dawn in general accounted for the vast majority of the work.

I did a few small edits with the smol DP version of her, but it's almost exactly the same as it was. There wasn't much to do; they did a great job.

Did what I could for the hand throwing a ball. Just gave it basic wrists. Any more and I would risk just making it look worse. I know my limits. This is the kind of thing that people do entire art studies to draw correctly; I sure as hell am not gonna make it look right in 64x64 pixel art, lmao. It's not great, but it's an improvement.

Took away Maylene's curves. She just looked emaciated. She's like three feet tall; she should not have an hourglass figure, lol.

Adjusted several nipple positions, mostly on the flat girls.

Adjusted Team Galactic's nipples. They look off up close, but at the resolution you'll actually see them, they look better. Pixel art is all about preserving the illusion.

I think Bertha actually looks fine except for maybe her toes. I didn't do anything with her.

I gave up on Caitlyn and just left her alone. I lack the skills and insight to fix what's wrong with her legs. You'd need an experienced professional to make her legs look right with only three pixels to work with.



This is seven hours of work. Nowhere near the 200+ I've spent on my lewd Elona+ sprite sheet, but uh...that has a couple hundred layers to edit and replace over 500 sprites.



I don't often allow myself compliments, but I think I did a pretty great job. I'm quite proud of the improvements I did. I still prefer the smol DP version of Dawn, but the thiccer version now looks much better.

I included a .zip that includes the original .webp and the .xcf project file. I double checked everything, so I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything. Hopefully my PC's fucked up clock rate doesn't cause any issues. Not even the first time the fucking faulty power lines broke something with dirty power.

Ah, I did miss something. There are parts of Cheryl's torso that are just straight-up missing. Poor Cheryl, first a broken arm and now a Sharpedo attack.

I took care of it here. Touched up her arms while I was at it, and moved her mammaries and upper back closer to where they should be in the first frame. The size of her ponytail is also more consistent now.

I should be done now.

Oh, and @pokebas1, did you make sure you're patching the patch onto Rev 1 of Platinum and have checksum validation off?
