Pokemon Hacks/games?

Bertha below!

 

I indexed the colors and the image only has 15 colors in the palette. Her high detailed sprite needs shading work, but I'll work on it again later with fresh eyes.

I've decided to target Gen 1, specifically Yellow Legacy, and make nudity reactions and sprite edits. It'll assume you're a girl most likely.

 

Yellow Legacy? What's that I hear?

Mostly because I want something quick I can use to play randomizers and have fun

Nude Platinum version 7-0-2 is here, and now, all female human battle sprites have been made nude!

This is an amazing milestone and I thank you all for getting this hack this far.

Now, efforts can be fully shifted to the over-world sprites. (minus Cynthia's, which have already been completed)

Or, efforts can be made to add more male sprites!

If you see a sprite here you want to improve, you can post your edits here and I may add them!

I also made a new version of Dawn to adjust her proportions a bit.

I didn't even notice that Dawn didn't have boots on. That's so cool.

I also noticed that somehow, the Dawn in this hack ended up having a slightly different palette than she is supposed to, so maybe I should change that at some point.

Speaking of-- did my my palette match correctly on these? I cant tell if I'm doing this correctly lol

Your Bertha has the right palette, though I did have a few issues adding her in since I think she was 1 or 2 pixels taller than normal Bertha.

I think the Dawn issue was from my end. Any palette discrepancies I can fix later on Aseprite if they're big deals. Dawn's current palette is close enough to the original for it not to really matter what palette is used for her.

What are you saying yes to? I can't really tell from your message. Are you talking about me editing Dawn's palette? Is that really a big issue?

Yeah, I had to use creative liberties because her coat was so fluffy. I had to practically recreate her whole body to make her anatomically correct. I'll watch out for size discrepancies moving forward. Let me know what I can do differently/better for future edits too

Could you add optional HM system like şn "Pokemon Emerald Seaglass"?

  • Revamped HM System: HMs no longer take up move slots—once you obtain an HM and the corresponding badge, eligible Pokémon can use the move outside of battle automatically.

 


Honestly I have played over 10 years a lot of pkmn rom hack but first time I hyped this HM system. If that possible, ever pkmn uses HM and tehy didn't learn. Just perfect. If add that system is not so complicated or hard, every pkmn rom hack uses. Of course this is my opinion.

I have literally no idea how to do that. I barely know how to implement sprites and text sometimes. If you can figure out how to implement that system into the ROM, then be my guest.

I love how the final three all have different proportions! Everyone is slightly different, so they shouldn't have the exact same mold.

You're the boss. I personally like the top one for this specific sprite because it makes the sprite looks less plain in the center.

Of course, many of your sprites will inevitably have small edits done once all have been posted, to make sure all of them are perfect. Just look at how many sprite edits have been done so far in the battle sprites.

I still need to figure out how palettes work for overworld sprites. @Mr. Downbad, do you know how the palettes work for these sprites? Is it different than the battle sprites? Can I add red or pink to each of them to make adding nipples easier without changing the palette of the battle sprite?

 

@msrio, and remember, the gym leader and elite 4 sprites are in a different spritesheet on Spriter's Resource than the other sprites.

BTX0 files are responsible for their own palettes. I don't exactly know your method of editing BTX0 files, my personal route is through BTX Editor, and then editing the png it spits out, then reimporting. But yeah you should be fine as long as the final color amount is 16 including background

You doing very well. I will searc this. I don't "how to rom hack hack stuff" but if I learned or found something, I will tell you.

Although it's not impossible, it'd be highly unlikely. The reason mods and romhacks are so expansive for gens 1-3 is because of the decompilation having code that isn't too hard to read. However, I don't believe gen 4 got the same treatment, at least yet. Even if we had a decompilation, I doubt many people here know how to read/write custom assembly code.

 

I agree, lots of ROM hacks should have this because it's a good feature, the problem is it is complicated and hard.

So far, I've changed these files. I skipped a lot of files, I didn't really want all the NPCs to make comments about the player's nudity, since it'd kinda ruin the world building when there's already so little in gen 1. If you think I should change that, let me know.

Instead, here's my assets. I made my own ROM for personal use using them, without any text changes, but that's all.

That's a shame. At least Green looks cute here. Your sprite editing is really good.

That's the problem with making ROMs of Red and Blue: the games were already so stuffed with data that glitches were extremely plentiful and the world was held together by duct-tape and glue, so trying to add much more breaks a lot of it.

Yeah I tried a similar thing on my own earlier (it was really bad and not worth mentioning). I think if you want to try and make a hack like this around Kanto then it's probably best to use FRLG as a base.

 

EDIT: Hey, not for nothing. But if you at least got it working graphically, why not share the patch? I'm sure others here would appreciate it as is (I know I sure would) and maybe somebody else might be willing to take a crack at the Gen 1 nightmare spaghetti code if they could use what you have so far as a base?

If people wanted to go through the nightmare that is Gen 1, I recommend slapping the assets into the decomp, not using a compiled ROM as a base. However, I'll share a patch in a bit for people who wanna play with my assets, just gotta throw it into xdelta or somethin.
