Kinda sorta. RS Children edits vanilla records (and inconveniently is an ESM), so Fertility Mode has no choice but to attempt forwarding changes for the human children because it uses those same records. Depending on your luck, it might look great or it might look goofy and broken. The only way I can avoid that would be to also make Fertility Mode an ESM and require that it load before RS Children. However, that's the only reason I could use to justify making Fertility Mode a master file, and it's not enough. Perhaps if folks start writing add-ons and mods that extend the functionality it would make sense to make mastering Fertility Mode easier, though I don't anticipate that happening. I've no illusions that this mod isn't a very niche thing. ;)

 

For the beast and Mer child races, all of those records are my own and completely independent, so they'll always look the same. However, the Mer child races were originally designed to have a similar look and feel as the vanilla human children (those races were borrowed from Kidmer). The beast races came from TKAA and are more of a departure from the vanilla look and feel.

 

All that said, RS Children is difficult to work with because it edits vanilla records. That's why it requires so many seemingly unrelated patches. It can also cause problems with cleanup should you choose to remove it. When working on RS support, I had to rebuild my install of the entire game from scratch at least half a dozen times due to leftover crud. I'd recommend TKAA instead of RS Children if you want better looking children in general. Just make sure that your child replacer doesn't make children playable or killable, because that will remove the IsChild flag and legit break Fertility Mode.

I still do not understand, Fertility still only works halfway.
I have access to the mod menu by MCM with settings, I checked and everything.
I even delete my ini of saves and recreate by relaunching a new part without SKSE by Steam. And nothing has to do.
Is there a solution to remedy this problem?

PM me your Papyrus log and I can check for any problems in your load order.

You should be able to find the logs under Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/Logs/Script. Papyrus logging may need to be enabled in your Skyrim INI file (I recommend using the BethINI tool from the Nexus to more easily work with it). Then just fire up your game, reproduce the issue, and Papyrus.0.log will be the file containing what might be going wrong.

Make sure you have Racemenu and are clicking the "build morphs" box in bodyslide when you generate your body.

So, I'm happy. This rebuild version works beautifully with Gender Bender. I'm able to impregnate female NPCs while in male mode, and because the mod doesn't fully change the gender characteristics I can do so while my female PC is pregnant herself. Saves me from having to shut off some of the more female oriented mods I use, because I don't necessarily have to play a male for some of the good romance mods out there.

Very neat mod Narue.  Only one issue I have is that now half the women of skyrim are carrying baby slings since only very few actually grow up to become my children.

Do you think it would cause issue with any of the scripts if I added a value to them and simply sold a few?  =p

Also... maybe you can consider adding some cooking recipes.  ::innocent whistle::

Nope, no problem at all. You'll have to pickpocket the baby though, and be roleplaying as evil. ;) One thing I may do is remove the baby item from NPCs automatically after a certain amount of time. That way every woman in Skyrim won't be hauling a baby around eventually, and you can rationalize what happened however you like.

Seriously the black soul gem thing would probably fix my issue so I'll set it to that.

But I did wan't to thank you for sharing this mod.  It's very cool ?

 

ETA: If you do decide to revisit the code for clearing out extra babies when their baby time is up... maybe a toggle for others who like watching the babies being carried around would be good.

I have no doubt it can. However, after several attempts, I've come to the conclusion that my skills are insufficient for the task at present. The same goes with RS Children. I'll keep trying (at a lower priority), but most likely another author who's better than me at that type of thing will need to create a patch. :(

I, um, ran into a big problem. 

 

I noticed that every female NPC that got inseminated became pregnant. So I dove into the _JSW_BB_HandlerQuestAliasScript and I think that I found the problem.

 

Correct me if I'm reading this wrong, but it looks like every time that OnUpdateGameTime() executes, it checks every tracked NPC (UpdateStatusAll()). If that NPC is inseminated then a conception (GetRandomInt) roll is made. If the roll passes (a 1 or 2 for the luteal phase or 1-58 for the ovulation phase) then the actor becomes pregnant. This check is conducted once every game hour (default) for the lifetime of the sperm (default: 5 days).

 

I did some looking around and found rolling "snake-eyes" with a pair of dice and started doing the math.

 

During the luteal phase, the actor has a 2% chance of conceiving. During the five days the sperm is viable, the actor is checked 120 times (5 days * 24 hours per day). A 2% chanced of conceiving translates to a 98% chance of not conceiving.

 

total chance of not conceiving = 0.98^120 = 0.088538

 

Meaning the actor has an overall 8.85% chance of NOT conceiving (or 91.11% chanced OF conceiving).

 

For yuks, I ran the numbers for when the actor is in the ovulation phase and came up with this.

 

total chance of not conceiving = 0.42^120 = 6.164741E-46

 

Meaning the actor has an overall 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000616% chance of NOT conceiving.

 

If the actor uses a contraceptive, the chances aren't much better (29.94% chance of not conceiving for luteal phase and a 0.00000000000000001416% chance of not conceiving during the ovulation phase).

 

What this translates to is that if a female actor (player or NPC) is inseminated, she WILL become pregnant during the ovulation phase and she will almost certainly become pregnant during the luteal phase.

 

I've been rolling possible solutions in my head, and I've come up with three; but none of them are, shall we say, trivial.
