Thanks. I tried handpainting the weights yesterday before seeing your guide. Next time I try, maybe the guidelines in there will help, but handpainting still seems tricky to me.

it takes practices and looking at existing skirt's weight pattern. once you get the hang of it, it's not that frustrating anymore :)

Somewhat related question that you'd probably know the answer to.

I'm working on a different CBBE SE conversion. It's a mashup where the shirt and pants are separate pieces. The pants are tight fitting, but not skin tight. I did a simple Copy Bone Weight since it's pants rather than a skirt.

However, when running or jumping, I see clipping around the back of the knees. Is this a bone weighting issue? I don't see clipping when I load both meshes in Outfit Studio.

I also see a problem with the shirt that is slightly similar. In OS, no clipping. But in-game, as I move the camera farther I can see a tiny bit of clipping in the area of the shirt is very close to the body.

it's because the mesh are tight fitting, you need to leave some space between mesh and body, so increase the mesh in that area using inflate brush a bit, otherwise it will clip during certain poses (especially during bending).

for the second issue, if it's affected by camera then it's because the mesh is too high poly compared to the body. there are 2 solutions: either decrease the poly, or zap the hidden body.

Weird... would've figured there was already enough space. It's tight, but not skin tight.

For the second issue, any idea why polycount is an issue and how high is too high? The mesh is about 5K vertices. A UUNP body is almost 7K vertex, according to NifSkope.

Either way, I was able to fix both by increasing the mesh around the areas that were clipping.

Dunno if this is actually the right place to ask, but is there a vanilla armour replacer conversion for CBBE SE that satisfies all three of the following requirements?

1) physics-capable if one so choses

2) skimpy (or at least showing noticeably more skin than vanilla)

3) able to fit to more, ahem, gifted body shapes when run through Bodyslide batch processing without me then having to fix up each and every *.nif manually in Outfit Studio later on

I tried using CT77's Remodeled Armor for CBBE SSE , but that one simply does not fit a bodyshape with more pronounced breast development out of the box. And I admit I am lazy and don't feel thrilled at the thought of fixing up 100+ *.nif files manually. ^_^" (Kudos to all those brave modders who actually do. You're hardcore!)

(Note: Interestingly, the UUNP version of this mod which I use on my Oldrim install has no such problems. While I had to fix one or two outfits a bit, it is by far better fitting than the CBBE SSE version.)

BD Armor and clothing

pretty sure this one fit the bills https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25797

EDIT : its new and it also a conversion so i guess its ok to post here

Yes this was requested already few comments before. Jeir is already working on it.

Ahh, I see, thank you. And sorry for the bother, I didn't realize that those other threads were yours too. ?

Will it be "realistic physics" or just physics on everything?

This oldRim outfit have BBP patch, but "only" on the breasts behind the armor, the armor itself is static. (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31813)
