Sexout Perks - How do they work?

I've noticed a few new perks in-game, not sure which plugin adds them. I had a few questions/comments about them and (since I'm not sure which plugin adds them) I thought I'd list them here.

Hu-Cow, Girl Next Door, exhibitionist(?), one or two others who's names I can't currently remember - Shouldn't these be female only? I'm currently playing a male character and have these available on level-up. I put a question mark on "exhibitionist" because I suppose that one's a matter of opinion, but the others either explicitly state "girl" or "lady" or whatever in the title, or affect things like pregnancy and lactation.

Dominant/submissive - Once one is selected shouldn't the other one not be available? Seems contradictory to be able to be both a dom and a sub. I know its something that can happen (I know people in that scene who play both sides) but its usually preferential to one or the other (A dom who occasionally likes to play sub or vice versa).

I'd noticed these in my last 2-3 level ups in game. I saw a ton more and of course now can't remember them all. I'll post more as I remember and see them.

LOL, yeah wellthat was one reason against making Submissive a Trait, it would take to many Perks/Traits if there end up being 20 Sexout ones.

In related news, a hideous typo in sexout now causes the player to strip naked, donate all their caps to charity, and run towards the nearest deathclaw nest if perks * 2 > level. There are no plans to fix this bug.

In a way, sex-based stuff belongs in perks and not traits. A trait is just something you are. Perks reflect skills specialized and things you learn about yourself. How do you know you're a submissive or dominant person, if you haven't had sex a few times to figure out what you like?

Well, that's how I see it anyway.

I haven't seen them yet (guess it's not up to date) but I'd like them to stay. I ran out of useful perks with my characters not using this stuff,it'd be neat to just have them as names even if they don't do anything.

If fallout were real life, and if this were some kind of bdsm group instead of being a post apocalyptic disaster thing, someone that had the dominant trait without also having the submissive trait would be someone to avoid.

The issue here, is that in real life, if you are a submissive you would want a dom that understood how you felt. The other kind would be no fun to spend time with, and quite possible not be trustworthy.

Of course, in a game (maybe we could call games a mix of fantasy and art with just enough reality to help evoke our feelings) we are not constrained by reality. And we can just ignore issues which are critically important in reality (like: make sure the weapon is unloaded before you clean it, or: if you have not flirted enough with someone you cannot know if their idea of fun matches your own).

I would say that saying someone whose not a switch is dangerous is unfair.

You are probably right, if we are talking about people in general, instead of neurotics like me.

As already stated, these are WIPs. These are a few perk concepts that I had offered when the SexPerk idea started and I can do into omre detail of what they are "supposed" to do if you wanted. Truth is, I'm having a hell of a time just getting one of them to work right, never mind finding the time to work on them.

In a nut shell, each of the perks will be sex restricted as appropriate. We arent just blindly allowing perks which wouldnt make sense due to based on clear anotomical requirements. If a dude picked Hu-Cow and can produce his own brest milk..more power to him.

The short version is this;

Hu-Cow will allow females to suppress thirst by drinking thier own breast milk. The requirements may be assosicated with other sexout perks.

Exhibitionist will grant to player (regardless of sex) a DT and stat bonus for wearing no armor or clothing.

Girl Next Door will allow a female character to mitigate karma hits caused by stealing. There is also a male version of this perk.

Cum Guzzler is the companion perk to Hu-Cow and will allow a character (regardless of sex) to live on a sperm based diet.

Dick Suken Lips (DSLs) will grant a barter/speech bonus and may (hopefully) open special Black Widow style dialogue entries.

I think those were the only ones of mine that were included. I am currently trying to get the Exhibitionist perks working. I'd like to see them all active as much as anyone though, its just slow going right now. I'm sort of teaching myself the ins and outs of perk buliding and I'm faced with a serious time contraint of moving cross country at the end of August. Thats on top of the on going job hunt. So yea... I'd like to promise results soon, but that just isnt realistic.

I will promise though, once I get a perk working successfully, I will pass it along to Halo, Pride or Loogie to be included into the SCR. So far now, pass along that those perks or non-op but they arent dead WIPs either.

Depending on what the player DOES once they reach the deathclaw... that might not get reported as a bug.

I was wondering if there was a way to 'remove' the perks from normal sexout?

I like a lot of the features of sexout, but sometimes I may have people around and I can set it where ya know I control what is seen and what is not. Though when leveling up... it is kinda hard to avoid seeing those perks ;)

I might make them hidden as people use them they could temporaily overwrite the record and I would copy them into SCR, but then there's still no way of making them invisible other than disabling all sexout stuff before launching the game.

FWIW, I would prefer they not show up in the list until/unless they do something. Having lots of non-functional perks in the list a) makes it cluttered and B) just seems sloppy.

It's a fair argument, but we have to keep in mind a certain degree of player role-playing. Not everyone is starting their character as a "blank slate", after all. There's a solid case for the inclusion of a couple of Sexout-related traits.

I believe traits for being gay specifically and straight specifically would be fair to include. Say you took the gay trait, for example. You'd be locked out of taking the "straight" perks later, depriving the player of the damage bonus and dialog options therein. If that isn't enough of a drawback, you could reduce damage to the opposite sex by %5 or something. The bonus, though, would be gay-specific dialogs from the start and a small bonus, say %5, to damage against the same sex that would stack with the gay perk later for a total of %15 extra damage.

Not choosing one of those traits would be the rp equivalent of saying you aren't sure yet, and you can take whatever related perks you want later.

Other proclivities, like bestiality, submission, masochism, etc., could be easily dealt with with a slew of perks available at very early stages. But I don't feel any of those are... broad enough, to be considered trait-worthy. Sexual orientation generally boils down to gay/straight/other no matter how many fetishes you started out with, anyway.

I did find out by accident with Sexout IMCNNV that you can hide playable perks by setting their level to 0. The attached esp goes through the SCR perks list and sets the level to 0 where there are 0 users of the perk.

Nice, I'll have a look at this :)

Perks flagged level 0 are supposed to be for companions(at least according to the beth forums an age and a half ago). And for some reason, can be funkified by the GECK into thinking that no matter what. So you're better off either keeping playble unchecked, or using the hidden flag.

I've been screwing around for a month or so on SO:Pregnancy perks, and managed to break a couple of saves by forgetting to bump out of lvl0 on the perks. An empty perk won't do anything though, so that's safe.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that with the esp and see what happens.
