There was no Dialogue!    Emphasizing, not yelling.   And yes I have all the requirements!

Then you obviously have mods that interfer with Thief and block dialogues. Sad. It's a pretty good story

But if there was no dialogue, how did you manage to have any questprogress? the dialogue is needed for it

It was hit and miss, sometimes it showed up, sometimes not, depended on who I was talking to.

Thanks for not getting mad at me, I was interested in the storyline, thought it would be fun, too much missing dialogue etc.

did you try it with a new modlist, with less mods, so they wont interfer?

I lerned it back with my LE version, that Thief runs best with smaller modlists (at least for me)

That's just it...Bunch of SL mods, no others to speak of except Requirements.

I don't really want to gut my modlist for this.

It's ok, my post was not intended to be a "hit job" just my experience with the mod.

What is your guys general opinion about the Silentwood part?

It's been a long while since I played the mod and recently I picked it up again since I haven't experienced any of the Silentwood content, and IMO I've enjoyed it significantly less than any other part of thief previously (especially post-trial). It put a much higher focus on the setting itself, and all the characters and mechanics, rather than scenes themselves. But honestly I found those parts (and the different routes you can take to escape the place) rather tiresome to get through than interesting, which made it so there weren't a lot of things for me to enjoy in this part, since they were the main focus of that update. As opposed, while I found some previous parts of the mod annoying to get through (talking about the main route) I usually liked some scenarios associated with them anyway. Here I can't say that, since I didn't buy into this place as a whole at all. Neither its characters, and routes associated with them.

Fingers crossed now that Dogma is back to working on the final version of the mod, and redoing/adding content to some parts of the main mod, I just hope that the updated work on the main route will keep the spirit of the main mod, rather than take too many things from Silentwood.

For me personally, Silentwood is the best section of the mod. My only small gripe with it is that after going through all the Silentwood stuff, going back to the Whiterun quest feels a bit weird and anticlimatic, which is why I would actually do seperate playthroughs for Silentwood and the "main" mod. There are also a couple of great scenes you can easily miss, especially if you don't have a high enough karma. But Silentwood is great. I just love immersing myself into the village life, while also living this naughty "double life" in the evening/nightly hours or at hidden places during the day. More than anything else, I would love to see Dogma add more treehouse scenes, Hokki as a father option and the bidding (ideally with a way to influence the outcome between two or three candidates).

I really like the setting and how the NPCs have their own backstories. I think it's more immersive that way and it fits well within a more realistic gameplay that isn't just about sex. So, I like the whole task thing and the idea behind it. Most villages and towns in Skyrim, after everything they keep treating you like a generic traveler, so this time I really appreciated that the heroine is becoming part of a community.

But I understand how many feel kind of disconnected with the main story. It feels like a spin off, and Dogma was probably tired of working in the main story for years so he decided to create a new story quest inside Thief.

Only issues I have with Silentwood is that some of the characters that had bigger scenes aren't as likable as some from other parts of the mod and some characters that I liked didn't have much scenes with the heroines or the outcome didn't pay off like I thought it would. But still, there are plenty of content and the new Father endings + the heroine marriage auction that Dogma will eventually implement can live things up in Silentwood.

This is the translated text at DeepL, sorry.
I have a question about the scene between Risi and Tolgan in SilentWood.
After calling Tolgan and the doggy scene starts, I think there is a branch where the animation changes, which is seen when a certain amount of time is exceeded.
Is this intense doggy scene not prepared for the PC?
Also, is there any way to play this animation on a PC?

Hello!

Has anyone here being able to beat the Vilgen minigame? I saw some commenters here who allegedly beat it a while ago, but in the current version of the mod it seems rather impossible to do so. The timer is just too short and the progress bar fills extremely slowly.

If anyone knows of a way to beat it with or without cheating, please let me know.

Cheers!

Without stamina bolstering private lessons from Ormax it wasn't possible for me either.

I beat the witch in falkreath and my screen is stuck shaking because of the boss fight, is there anything I can do to fix this? I have a save right before the fight starts and it seems no matter how many times I redo the fight my screen always ends up the eternal shake : (

My stamina is peak and I couldn't do it. Not even close.

I wasn't talking about stamina itself - more about private lessons... which give you know how to beat the Vilgen.

Anything with AE content is very buggy. I haven't tried this mod with it, but when I have tried others they rarely work and scripts never process. I would try downgrading to 1.5.97 and using no AE content.

That is a shame. You'd think a patreon mod that is being actively developed would be updated to the newest version. Alas, I will have to wait until they do I think.

The mod started developing when AE wasn't even a thing. It's a huge mod with thousands of scripts and only one person working on it. And he lives in Ukraine, there is a war going on that affected the mod's development. He is currently revisiting old parts of the mod to fix stuff and release a final version. Once that is complete, he will probably consider updating to AE.

I wasn't talking about Skyrim Stamina stat either. I'm talking about the Thief mod stat which you can train separately at the training room. It seems 10 is the max for both Stamina and Strenth, and I have reached that maximum by training at the dummy even after my character complained that she wasn't progressing fast enough.

Yet again - I wasn't talking about stamina - any stamina to be precise. I was talking about Ormax private lessons. Have you tried taking at least one? Because dummy self-training does not give you know-how, dummy gives you just a stat, like stamina, and stamina in itself is not enough - here I can agree.

Hey, managed to load a previous save and took the lessons. Even when hitting the space bar precisely at the middle every time, I could just take his bar up to around 70% before the time ran out.
Thank you anyway!

Ah, thief. One of the best quest mod on LL !

Probably one of the best quest mods, period.
A shame the great majority of players will never experience it because of it's NSFW nature.

just one guy did that whole thing?! That is impressive and more understandable. I thought I had seen ppl refer to the dogma "team" before.

This might or might not be the solution for you, but were the lines without dialogue the voiced ones?

If the dialogue lines are voiced you need to enable subtitles in Skyrim's settings menu.

I thought I give this mod another try after getting stuck early in previous try.

But again I'm stuck at the same point between Chapter 3 and 4
I have to follow this hokki guy from the hot springs but he gets stuck somewhere north of mixwater mill and doesn't continue his way to the village.

Is there a way to pass this?

I once tried to get to the village some days later but it didn't work I couldn't enter because this guy wasn't there.

has someone else encountered this issue and maybe found a work around?

I found a solution

I turned his collison of so he was able to continue his way and I was finally able to meet him at the river crossing in front of his village.
