Call me  crazy, but did brew say the public release for the older 9.2 was going to be in October?

it comes within the new update

Can't wait for the update. Just a fantastic mod! :)

Latest update:

  • Beta should still be out on the 25th, but may get pushed back a few days if there are serious issues.  Dogma has not had time to do thorough testing so beta players should expect things to be broken, and everyone should expect at least two weeks of fixing things before the release version is out.
  • The beta will not include any new achievements or lost pages.  Those will be added prior to release with some patches.  Also, one of the scenes can be accessed in multiple ways, but while the context changes the scene itself does not.  The release version will include a modification of one version of this scene to account for the differing contexts.
  • Karma requirements for starting the scenes in this update should be very easy to reach, since after v0.9 it's possible to get way above 200 without doing any "farming" like going to Liorel over and over.  Dogma didn't say specifically, but I would bet on there being multiple versions of each scene based on Karma level like there have been for basically every other scene.  At least a few of the scenes are accessible at 0 Karma.
  • The next major update after this one (unless Dogma's timeline has changed, should be v1.0) should be easier to develop than this one was, because a significant portion of the development of v0.10 was spent building several large cells for the Skunkway.

Sounds like in 5 days we're all going to have stuff to do, and I'm going to have a lot of work ahead of me.

Yeah, people who are waiting for this should have in mind that this beta version will probably have many bugs to correct and stuff that will have to be fulfilled later with patches. So, Dogma is even saying that if you don't want to have your 'first experience ruined' with this raw version, you should wait a bit more.

the good thing is that this seems to be happening because of Dogma's ambitiousness, since he can't help but always implement more stuff than he originally planned.

So unless he pushes the beta again nothing should change from what you've been warning everyone about: release in 1st half of November. Sounds like he added several new features and mechanics along with the Skunkway, which just makes it all the mor exciting.

Despite the warning I might pledge in and test it out.

For Patreons beta is 25th of October as stated previously by others.

Hi guys how do you access the scence with the officer at Riften. I get the pill and stand next to chair but nothing seem to happen. Is it still pateron exclusive ?

in version 0.9.1, it's not exclusive anymore.

The scene can be launched using console command: setstage hp_mem 0; setstage hp_mem 10. Add a potion, drink it and go to the trigger point near the bed you fell asleep.

Guys, this next version we will have is going to be the 1.0 with the end of the story? Or it will be a 0.9.x with some story progress and extra scenes?

Reload a save before talking with him:

  1. Sit in the chair opposite the Stranger
  2. Open your console
  3. Click on the Stranger and note his baseID value, which is XX012636
  4. Whatever the XX values are, enter the command startscene XX01263b
  5. Close the console

Thanks for the suggestion.  I'm having the same issue, he initiates dialogue and asks to sit with him, but does nothing once you do sit.  Did the console command and it did initiate him giving drinks, but doesn't start the actual quest so either wake up in the inn room or in canals and can't advance further.

It might be too early to ask but will there be a SE conversion?

You might try asking @4nk8r if he plans on converting the upcoming version like he did with the past one.

Dogma said he would consider converting when the whole story is done.

Walk me through how you installed the mod.  I suspect that you may have missed a step.

What pill?  You mean the memory potion?  The memory scene is a little buggy, but it has definitely been in the public release of the mod for a while.

So does anyone know if this newest update going to be closer to the size of Falkreath part2 (smaller) or Solitude part1 (larger)? Dogma has been working on it for many months now so hopefully it must be getting pretty large. Either way, I guess since I haven't been able to do the cheesemonger part, this will still feel like a substantial update.

Here's a least-squares regression of the number of days between the last five releases and the added line counts of the same:

https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=linear+fit+{{53%2C+661}%2C+{56%2C+862}%2C+{83%2C+736}%2C+{238%2C+3227}}

By extrapolating this data, and given that the time between Oct 25th 2019 and Feb 15th 2019 is 252 days, we get the following estimate at the number of new lines we expect to see in the new patch:

https://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=-120.241+%2B+13.8767+x+where+x+%3D+252

A new line count of 3377 would bring the mod's total count to almost 13,000, and would just edge out the v0.9.0.4 release (with 3227 new lines) for the title of biggest patch yet.  Assuming the number of scenes in each release is also roughly linear with time delay, then we would expect there to be about 14-16 new scenes.

Both of these estimates seem optimistic to me, but it's hard to guess.  We know that Dogma spent a lot of time building cells for this update, but at the same time people get better at things with practice and Dogma is certainly no exception.  I would say that error bars on the size of the new patch would be between 2000 and 4000 lines, and between 8 and 15 scenes.  Even the lower bounds of those ranges would make this a pretty big patch.

That is what I'm assuming.

Using Vortex installed Papyrus util 3.3, Fuz Ro Doh 61, Fnis 7.5, SOS light, Thief 0.9.1 (eng), fix1

Additional mods installed are CBBE, Alternate Start, ApachiiSkyHair, RaceMenu, and ShowRaceMenu PreCacheKiller

Generated FNIS and used Loot to set load order and used SKSE steam launcher

You probably shouldn't use Vortex, it's still not stable as NMM or Mod Organizer and can fail installations.

I don't see anything wrong with your installation.  You can try moving Thief to the bottom of your load order, just above Alternate Start, but you're running so few mods that seems unlikely to be the problem.  Do you see any kind of error or debug messages in your console when you sit with the Stranger in the tavern?

I ve also encountered problems with Thief and Vortex...

it doesnt really deinstall, I have to do it manually. :/

Here's a batch script that will auto-remove every file added by Thief and all of my addons.  Just drop it into your \skyrim\data\ directory and run it.

Note that there are a few meshes/textures/anims that may be used by other mods (like ZAZ) that will be removed by this script if they are present.  Also, the script will permanently delete the files that it removes; they will not be in the recycle bin.

clean.bat

Even trying the .bat to be sure I missed no files before reinstalling didn't help.. will nuke the whole install and try again to see what happens
