I wanted to mention per above (previous page) conversation, some of the settings one can adjust using that guide from Steam who's link I posted elsewhere, will increase the resolution of Sim parts in game so they are closer to what you see in CAS. This is mentioned in the guide, but thought saying it here might be useful in completing the understanding of how the end product(s) look once the game is running while using some mods.

 

Older mods/texture files trying to get away with a low resolution don't age well using these settings, since the author of said 'images' didn't foresee the Sims 3 being run at/using higher settings. Splotchy skin, blurred textures/patterns - it ain't pretty.

I have been re-doing the girls wardrobes thanks to all the great new CC... so  much this week that i find myself checking LL every hour or so just to see what the next suprise will be.

 

I have attempted my first "sin dungeon" for training purposes of course and i dont want the neighbours to see whats going on..

I was a YA in the 80's so obviously hair styles have changed over the years and found many on this website I really wanted. BRAVO!

Hair is a PITA, and I've only done a few TS3 shortenings for myself... They really don't look as good. I have the tools (more or less) to do some 4 to 3 conversions now, but don't think I'll be doing many. 

 

Not having TS4 either, I'm not sure, but from what I've seen, pulling apart packages, TS4 doesn't appear to have CAS recolor choices, as clothes packs I looked at all have 5, 6, 7 or more colored image files, as if they will be your only choices... unlike TS3 which has a multiplier in gray tones which accept whatever color or pattern you choose in CAS.

 

But, from the downloads page here, for TS4, it also seems like TS4 players lack imagination anyway, as there are so many pre-made sims uploaded, and then downloaded. For me, 90% of the fun is "dressing my dolls" and doing their make up and hair!!!

No open world and no CAST (create a style) = No Thank You.

 

Testing on FemmeBot continues without a problem. Using MC to give it jobs and other scripted 'things' not normally available to Plumbots goes well. Still refuse to take it into MC/CAS - you said it breaks FemmeBot so no reason to 'go there'. Most recent changes were made at the Bot Building Station proper. Looking forward to the official release. I know others are.

Thank you for helping with her! I have also continued to test. I may have found something in how she is assembled in TSRW that I will look at further. I may be able to completely scrub the human sim from her parts.

 

For jobs, I believe a Plumbot can get a job if it has "Office Drone" trait chip. I have never tried, but I remember reading it somewhere... recently.

 

I also have been able to take her into both Plumbot and Sim CAS now. In Sim CAS, there are rules. You can't change age, gender, skin tone, make up, any clothes/ accessories... personality stuff, likes, those items are a no no. BUT... you CAN use sliders! Many do not work, as she is made with no morphs, but there are many sliders that do work. Try them! )))

 

As I said, I have been working to improve her face. The lower eyelashes look much better, but I'm still working on her lips.

Yes, All rabbithole jobs are available with that chip, but for some reason when one clicks on the townhall to take a 'self-employed' job such as the Showtime EP entertainer - there is no option for Plumbots.

 

 

Decided to remove the Showtime Stage from the 'fancy' danceclub in Cronor world and added Gambling. So far the few Sims that entered (made the change after 2AM) have taken to the simoleon pits eagerly.

-Also- Femmebot 'does' have the Office Drone chip installed above, but as I mentioned Self Employment isn't an option without using MC/Careers to select those jobs. I wanted to confirm this for 'Ambitions EP' jobs as well (Architect) at City Hall.

Ahhh! Of course, just one of many EPs that I do not have. Besides, I have rich Sims, so they don't work! But, I made many FemmeBots and put them in houses, and I see notifications that this one or that one got a job. I never really took notice of where.

That's what I do... As I said, usually no problem. 2 or 3 times, and it will go to the download. Not this time.

Is it possible to recolor those jail cell bars? I ask for 2 reasons: Institutional green would be a good choice, or a dingy rust color to allow lighter colored objects and Sims to stand out.... <sadface> I've been in jail, and those are waaaay tooo pretty     Also: Never realized those were 'windows' as evidenced by the 'peeking' sim a few cells over. 'Brooding' sims also make use of windows....

Maybe... if anyone here is thinking to use adfly for their uploads. But, if they did, their package or link would apparently be removed. I think most people that use that have their own blog page... not here. )))

well my "dungeon" (can i even call it that after seeing those ss?) is part of the finishing school for girls, who will be fully traiined when they become YA, so they can go straight to work in the brothel downtown.  But they do get some R&R between "lessons".
