What's all this about purging cell buffers, PCB? Is this due to the memory leak in SMP? Also, perhaps the new memory manager in SSE fixes might help? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17230?tab=files

I made a few speculations in a post a page back.  Basically, when I lose FPS when going to an interior, using PCB restores the frame rate, same as the Quicksave/Quickload cycle.  I think that PCB unloads the 3d models from the outside cells, which eases the load on SMP, if SMP is still handling physics for those outside models.

I wrote a post about using "purgecellbuffers" a little while ago when I saw that restored frame rates when going into interiors.  Have you or would you try that command when your frame rate drops?

I tested PCB last night and it works as you said- perfectly. Not sure how you noodled it out as an alternative to QS>>QL, but thanks for sharing it!

You're welcome.  It did take me long enough, though.  A save should actually do a PCB routine and a load wouldn't load non-relevant actors.

Edit: I also remembered a similar problem in Oblivion(?) that was cured by PCB.  In fact, there was a mod that issued a PCB when a cell change occurred.

If pcb is fixing performance issues in SMP then SMP probably isn't properly culling its target list or something. This sort of thing would be pretty easy to debug with source. Is there an easy way to force the issue or do you have to play for a unch of time?

It's not new I just split it into a separate file.

Oh, we've got the master works artisan, Aers, on the case! Welcome to our humble abode. Isn't the SMP source open now that Hydrogen is "moving on" from the project? I need to learn Chinese....

It's not open source yet afaik but it's planned.

I think that both of your suppositions are many months out of date-

  • Since (reportedly*) announcing he was no longer interested in Skyrim modding, HydrogensaysHDT has updated (and further improved/refined) SMP several times
  • Since (reportedly*) suggesting that he might "soon" release the SMP-SE source code, he has so far not done so according to @realclone  who posted about it here on LL within the past few days (can't find the post atm)

So apparently, Hydro has not "moved on" and has not released the source code. :classic_wacko:

* "reportedly" because only his Chinese-speaking friends know for sure what he may or may not have said on any particular subject at any particular time

Use the Autorun Console Commands SE mod to execute the PCB command.

How did I not know about this mod? :classic_blink: Installed it (Vortex), works perfectly, no more SMP slideshows entering/leaving interior cells! Thank you!

the next ver use chest's bones to 17 segments so that you can show more realistic pressure and wave effect

all the effects are just debugging effects, not the final result, there is still a lot of work to be done

Wait, only interior.. not exterior? I didn't notice any difference. Do you see an FPS boost or something? Just install AARC and put "PCB" in the load on interior cell text input, right? There's also a message that says PCB might freeze the game, should we ignore this, lol?

I enabled both.

Depends on your frame of reference- what I see is the ABSENCE of the semi-usual fps drop on entering interior cells, and the occasional fps drop on entering exterior cells. So in the sense that the absence of a 30-fps frame rate drop constitutes "an FPS boost or something," yes.

Well, I read the DEscription page and watched the demo video, where I learned that simply enabling the "interior cell" and "exterior cell" checkboxes in the MCM automatically issues the pcb command via 2 batch files- ACJ and ACI, respectively. I suppose you could do it your way if you love pain and strive always to take the most complex route to any given objective... :classic_biggrin:

I thought I had read all of the Description page, as well as watched all of the demo video, but apparently not. If I ever have game freezes due to this mod I'll be sure to go back and try to find that message. Meanwhile, I can't answer the question.

Anyone know how to add SMP to clothing?? I'm trying to add it to Tribal Clothe to this TBD conversion I have

I have the UUNP version, not TBD. Sorry.

Here's my testing video of it:

As to your original question, if your "adding SMP" means adding cloth-physics bones to an outfit that doesn't already have them, it apparently (from what experts have said here) requires 3D modeling skills- I have never even succeeded in converting one that already has all the required cloth-physics bones from one Reference Body type to another (UUNP to CBBE, or vice-versa) without breaking the mesh and rendering the outfit static.

@SunJeong have made this clothe for CBBE SSE with HDT-SMP. You should check her page.

It’s actually not in any of my sites. I uploaded it to a discord server with a direct download of the zip.
