UPDATE: 4/19/19 - PC 1.51.77.1020 / Mac 1.51.77.1220

Hi Simmers,

We wanted to swiftly address some unintentional issues that popped up following the 4/16 game update.

• Fixed an issue where custom text was not always displaying properly in-game.
• Fixed an issue where NPC invites to festivals or to residences were sending Sims to an incorrect destination.
  • There is still a lingering issue regarding invites to events in Get Famous, such as the talent showcase, and celebrity sightings. We are continuing to investigate those for a future update.
• Fixed an issue where Mac players on certain older versions of OS X were unable to launch the game. As a result, we rolled back a fix that was done for Mac players on 64-bit systems that eliminated a false error message which said, “The Sims 4 is not optimized for your Mac and needs to be updated.”

If it is the wrong version, make sure you only have one copy of WickedWhims installed in your mods folder.

 

Otherwise it could be a bug that Turbodriver needs to look at.

It's saying C now as I updated to the latest WW but my log file was saying B  but WW was playing ok and I don't have more than one copy of WW in my mods folder....could have been a bug which the latest WW update has fixed.

*sigh*  You know, we just were commiserating that even though it's been posted over and over again on the past few pages of this thread that there is an EA bug that stops most text from all CC, people keep asking abut it.  And wishing that people would even take the time to look 1-2 pages back to see if others already posted the problem.  Heck, they might find a fix and be immediately able to move forward.

It's not you in particular, but the fact that there as so many that just won't take take the time to look.

Next time, please, just take a look before posting.  You might find an immediate fix.  Or that it's an endlessly rehashed bug.

 

Oh, EA came out with a hotfix today.  Give it a try, see if they fixed it and if your text is back.

So I'm not sure if this is intended or an oversight. My sims are on holiday in the Belomisa jungle, roughing it in a tent on their way to the temple, and - as sims are wont to do around the waterfalls - they got a little frisky. Afterwards, she used one of the "Waterfall in a bottle" items to shower off, but it didn't clear away the cum she had all over her face. I expected the "camp shower" would work like a regular shower, as it filled her hygiene completely, but if that's as intended then I can live with it. I just thought I'd throw it out there.

Ever since the most recent version of ww, I've been having an issue where gender doesn't seem to be getting recognized correctly. I'll have two men with one woman, and it'll let me pick from animations that are supposed to be for one man with two women, and they don't look right most of the time. Messing around with the gender settings hasn't fixed my issue, is there anyone else who's had this happen and found a solution, or just knows what the issue I'm having is?

This was mentioned around a few times already. Gender recognition might not help because it all comes down to what the animations allow. In most cases, the "bugged" animations either intentionally don't care for the gender in one or more roles or have both genders allowed in one or more "slots" of the positions. If I understood it correctly, it means that a single (for example) threesome animation can be used for any combination of genders but it also means these issues. It gives more freedom for those who want to play with strap-ons or some weird stuff (such as hermaphrodites) but bugs the hell out of people who want to play realistically (which includes me).

 

In other words, you'd have to report this to the creator(s) of the particular animations and see whether or not they might want to change it.

1) Turned off auto updates in Origin.

2) Went to offline mode so I could play throughout my weekend while the early adopters were losing their minds. PROTIP: Do the reading, people!

3) Waited for the patch to the patch to release.

4) Tested the one mod in my collection still pending an update on a different system with an updated game. Satisfied with the results, I decided to update the main game box.

5) Downloaded the most recent mod updates. Some had updated more than once since Tuesday.

6) Deleted mod folders/files before unpacking the replacements.

7) Deleted localthumbcache.package.

8: It's payday, so bought Strangerville. ? 

9) ???

10) PROFIT!!

 

I haven't tried the freelancer career, which is known to not work with the unupdated UI cheats extension, but I had my sim wife give birth to a beautiful baby girl, we went to the bowling alley to work on Friends of the World aspiration, then we went home and I got her pregnant all over again.

Did you know that you don't even need a different system to run different patched versions of the game? ? 

 

I have 3 different versions of teh game on my PC; 1.50 and both newly patched versions. This way I can switch to any version I wish.

 

When I want to play the game I still use 1.50 until all of my mods are updated. When I want to test mods with newer versions, I switch to them. 

 

I'll be posting a tutorial on  it later today. I was going to do this earlier this week but I didn't think it was good idea to use the broken patch as a good example.

*Legal* versions? I already had the game loaded on the laptop, and I had time to kill away from the desktop PC.

Yep. Just as long as you have not already updated the game and have auto updates turned off via Origin. I'll show you later. I'll put a tutorial together when I get enough free time between work.

What TomasGrizzly said is correct, however there are a few things you can do to ensure the problem isn't related to WW settings and Sim gender preferences.

 

If you want all of your Sims to be heterosexual you can use the following WW console command:  ww.preference_hetero 100 all

 

Also ensure that your WW gender settings look like this:

 

 

 

Turbodriver has fixed the problem on his end.  The problem lies with the 3rd party animations.  Some authors don't care if their Sims are bisexual and therefore males can be placed in female roles.

 

Spending hours and hours blacklisting bisexual animations isn't practical for most players.  I agree, it is a frustrating problem!

 

Turbodriver did say that there will eventually be a way to easily change the gender roles in 3rd party animations.  It will be interesting to see how this is implemented.

After the maxis update and after installing the latest WW, I have noticed that the little purple WW icon in the lower left panel no longer shows which sex animation is being used or which stage they are in.  It only shows "Sex".

Yes, I have the latest WW ... as for EA, well, not so sure if i do or not ... I did get the big update they did, is there an additional patch I have to go and get?

 

See, when the big EA or maxis (whoever is responsible) update broke all the mods, after I got the latest mod fixes I went offline with my game.  I couldn't face the thought of having another sporadic game update and broken mods again.

Consider EA's update to be two parts. You installed the first part. You need the second part.

So you have slow VPN you're not the only one that has internet problems.

 

The owner of the only ISP in my town closed shop and retired in November of last year. My town with the exception of smartphones we have no internet and it's not like ISP's are falling all over themselves to get the business here since we live high up in the mountains and the town only has 651 people.

So until the Mayor and Town Council can convince an ISP to provide service the whole town suffers. More over I can't download any new games or update any of my games, try downloading through a tethered phone not only is it very slow you have a data cap to watch.

But the thing is you don't see me in this forum bitching about it or trying to get sympathy or handouts. You can atleast do something to improve your situation by getting better VPN.

 

So excuse me for not being sympathetic about your slow VPN cause I really don't give a shit.

Do I have to turn of menstrual cycle to be able to get my male characters pregnant via sex? And is it the menstrual cycle that prevents the "woohoo" and "try for a baby" buttons to not show up? My males that can get pregnant are usually omegas (no V, only penis and anus) or cuntbois (no penis, only V and anus).

Yeah, so you need to go back online and get the patch that fixes the missing strings. I was released Friday. That should fix your problem.
