winny257 Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 LoversLab NEW! I understand it not??what is now again went wrong ??the new Loverslab was much more user-friendly for me, now the crap starts again from the front. But all good things come 3
Ashal Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Major performance issues. Every time the site's main traffic was switched to the new version, the server couldn't handle it. Did as much tweaking and attempts to save it as I could over the past couple days but wasn't able to get it stable enough to feel confident in making the switch full time.

ToJKa Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Upgrade attempts here are doomed. DOOMED! Doomed, i tells ya! Shame, the new software looked liked it would have some advantages over this old one. Just don't get desperate and do what Bethesda did
Afro68 Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Sorry about this, I was really liking the new version too. Hopefully after a "WOOSAH" moment you can tackle it down the line.
Cyan Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 i like this old version though, happy you didn't force an unstable change still, sorry it didn't work out. sucks when hard work doesn't pay off (yet)
Vykroft Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 This forum is like the wine, it gets better with the years....
winny257 Posted July 7, 2016 Author Posted July 7, 2016 i like this old version though, happy you didn't force an unstable change still, sorry it didn't work out. sucks when hard work doesn't pay off (yet) it is a thing of getting used. I had through the conversion to NEW about 3300 Posts lost, also one amount of valuations, I guess over 1000. but that was me no matter, with the old Loverslab I can not cope easily. an image from * its own * PC Upload is me never succeeded. but with NEW I only have 5 minutes needed to understand it.
Succuboi Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I was really liking the new loverslab, But I figured something was wrong when I couldn't reach the site.It was a good try.
winny257 Posted July 7, 2016 Author Posted July 7, 2016 This forum is like the wine, it gets better with the years.... it is already that BEST, even better does not go! if nevertheless, than will it divine.
Ferranteth Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I think the new website just was not ready yet. Obviously, a humongous switch over was way too much for what we had at the moment. Not to mention, for me, the new website was ridiculously laggy and nigh impossible to browse. That's my two cents.
LukeDuke Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 It's just me ''enchants'' because I do not like the new version of the site.. Lol But honestly.. I wish you guys more luck next time!
Halstrom Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Regardless you gave it a good try, probably learnt a few things about the issue and we all survived
Sural Argonus Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 The main problem with this old version, while we are all accustomed to it...it's security. The newer version has what this lacks. Ashal needs to find a way to update this forum. :/I understand the woes...I fought many times when I ran my forums, and it was on a much smaller scale. Almost every upgrade was a headache.
Pkatt Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 I was hoping everything would go good for you this time around. Thank you for trying, and for all you do, Ashal!!
saviliana Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Maybe, just maybe, we ask around nicely, people around Loverslab can provide much powerful hardwares or even a whole new server platform for the new site upgrade? BTW, I heard UK is comming a downfall, maybe a good time to go there and haul a big server back. Just like the late 90s when japen hit the crash and people rush there to get things they want.
MagnaSonic3000 Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Upgrade attempts here are doomed. DOOMED! Doomed, i tells ya! Shame, the new software looked liked it would have some advantages over this old one. Just don't get desperate and do what Bethesda did Actually I don't think we have mods for Doom yet.
