Anyone tried VORB?

The possibilty to differ between female and male is allready in the bosh.py script implemented.

You're... awesome  :D :D

The latest svn version implemented that' date=' hasn't it?

Maybe if necessary i could add a function to attach a skeleton for example skel_f_xxx to female and a skel_m_xxx to male.

That would be more than interesting, to force the exclusive use of some skeletons on men, and of some others on women  ;)

Skel files are now calculated by my script per random. But as i wrote earlier it is possible to change the values of the bones as you wish. DMRA looking is like the bombshell i have added to optional files at tesnexus. The different HGEC types could also be achived by changing the breasttransform bones and put the other transform data again to 0 and scale to 1. So the skeleton will look like HGEC E-Cup original.

I think i ll add the modified bosh.py i made today to tesnexus. It is then possible to use skel_special_formid.nif. with the formid you can get with mod formid finder for npcs. So everybody is able to attach special bodies to special npcs.

Thanks for the precision, and keep up the good work  ;)

Ah yes, the base skeleton you're using is that one, isn't it?

No the latest svn can´t differ male and female. But adding that would be easy i think.

That would be great indeed' date=' I'm eager to see that  :)

Yepp, VORB in the latest version use universal Skeleton.nif by Growfl.

Thanks for the quick answer  :D

I suppose I am just wondering here...but does this mean that the scripts RANDOMLY assign skeletons (and thus body shapes) to the NPC's in Oblivion?  So that if you want someone to be really hot (according to personal tastes) you can then modify that NPC's skeleton via Formid (and this is through the bashed patch?).  I'm just a bit lost on the actual process here....this will only affect NPC's on a one-per-one basis I assume.  Like, I want one of the countesses to be a bombshell...so I use the formid program to find her formid.  Then, I (do what here?)  to add her formid to a bombshell skeleton.  Does this require a change via an .esp...or which?  Also, you noted changing the PC.....questions for that.  What if you are using Wryebash's function that allows more than one player profile, with male and female characters?  They are all dependant on the skeleton.nif in data....if you change the skeleton for one female PC...does that force all other PC's male or female to use that body, as in other body replacers?  Would it be possible to say, have a bombshell female PC, a muscular male PC, a thin yet say size c breast and a bit of a booty on her female PC, and a beer belly male PC all using different skeletons but in different profiles using the same /data folder?

I realize these are alot of questions, and that your work is very complicated to do and this may seem ungrateful.  PLEASE understand, that is not my intent!  As far as I am concerned...this could revolutionize Oblivion in a way no other mod could...and I am VERY grateful.  I'd just like to clear up a few things before I dive in...I mean seriously!  Imagine what this could do if some clothing were made for this....Especially considering the functionality of Lovers mods.....AMAZING.  I suppose I just want to hump a countess with a beer belly orc and still have a bombshell that has a hard time staying off her back at the same time :D

heh.

Happy gaming, and THANK YOU so much Vader for what appears to be probably the most amazing mod in development outside of Lovers with PK.

Thank you merctime for your interest in the mod :)

I try to explain the function of VORB as you asked for them.

The wrye Bash script attaches the skel_xxx per random to the npcs. There is no esp file in the latest version nescessary. If you found a lady which you want to be a bombshell find her formid and copy the bombshell skel_ file (maybe change some data with nifskope if you want) and rename it to skel_special_formid.nif. Of course exchange "formid" with the formid of the npc. Thats it! You also could copy any skel_file you want and modify like you want and rename it to skel_special_formid.nif. Maybe you saw a nice girly ingame and want another one have her body. Get her formid and do the things i described here.

The player Character remains untouched all the time until you copy a skel_ file and rename it to skeleton.nif. This is the best way to get a new body for the player character. Of course you can modify the skeleton.nif as you want. It is also a VORB skeleton file.

In summary if you change the skeleton.nif only the player character is changed, because after rebuilding the bashed patch with VORB active in Tweak Actors all NPCs got VORBs new skel_xxx as their files. If you also specify the skel_ file in this format for example "skel_special_10616.nif" then the npc with the formid 10616 will get this special skeleton file.

Remember the special skel file system isn´t integrated in the latest release version of wrye Bash, but will be in the next. But you could get the modified bosh.py from tesnexus, which i modified quick and dirty to support this system. The next release version will have it thanks to wrye bash team in special myktaylor.

Edit: I forgot to mention, that you have to rebuild the bashed patch if you add a skel file or add a mod with new npcs.

Edit 2: Cool, the latest SVN version has it already included: http://oblivionworks.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/oblivionworks/Programs/Wrye%20Bash.tar.gz?view=tar

You have do untar it. 7zip do this but winrar too i think. if you get only one file after unzipping it, unzip the file you got too.

and copy the folder to the oblivion folder like you do it with the normal release version of wrye bash. Please backup your previous installation of wrye bash because this may not be stable as the release version.

Very...very interesting!  TY so much for the link to Wryebash as well :)  Hmm..so if I understand correctly...this may be used along with bodyreplacer mods at the same time (roberts male, dmra, etc) but with the new bosh.py option checked in a rebuilt bashed patch, the only ones to use the body replacers and not the VORB-atized bodies will be the PC's.

Soooo.....This portion of my post will be idea time, if that is OK.  I suppose there, I'm asking if its possible to get multiple skeleton.nifs for PC's using wryebash's profile feature (more than one pc savegroup).  aka:

profile 1:  joe the orc

profile 2:  lisa the little shy elfgirl

profile 3:  frank the breton mage

profile 4:  Tiffany the curvy imperial seductress

Is it possible, or is there even interest for, being able to make these save profiles dependant on different skeleton.nifs?  or will they all use skel_xxx if that is what is listed as the skeleton.nif?  Meaning...could this be done?  Profile one, an orc....make him muscular and powerful looking, so a different skeleton.nif than say profile three...also a male PC, but a different profile, but he is a mage so taller and thinner...less muscular.  Could we bashed patch a different skeleton per PC profile like this?  And for the females, using the previous example...Lisa the shy elfgirl would be shorter, thinner, with more of an athletic and slim body but somewhat curvy...a tennis star.  This would be one female PC skeleton.nif.  Tiffany, on the other hand, is very voluptuous, larger body, bigger breats and booty...a porn star not a tennis star  ;)    This would be another female PC skeleton.nif.

I hope this isn't seen as too many question asking...or too much wishful thinking.  Just wondering here, and hoping to toss ideas that could (if your interested) add to your mod maybe.

As for the explanation as to how to make changes to the NPC's with VORB, wow...the way you broke that down is awesome.  I wouldn't have guessed it would be that easy.  I'm going to have to play with that...there are a few favorites I have (hehe....they are in trouble  :) ) I can't wait to see how they look.  I think for testing I'll drop all of my clothing replacers that are dependent on body replacers just in case.  Thank you again for replying, and being so thorough.

Happy gaming!    -Merctime

My scripting skills with python are very limited. But as far as i know, it should be possible to put different skeleton.nif files as profiles in another folder and maybe copy them to skeleton.nif so you could change easily the look of you player char.

I also want to make clear, that not all body types are possible for now. VORB is limited to the weightpainting i have done to the nude templates. I think my weightpainting skills are limited too. Maybe one of the talented body or armor/clothes modeller want to jump in and power up VORB in this behavior. The body zones that can be changed for now are breasts, upperbody and lowerbody. But no shoulders or arms. I allways got the problem that if i change or add some weightpainted vertices that there come up the seam between upper and lowerbody again. As i told before. Find the right weightpainting that works in all situation of scaling the body was one of the harder parts of creating vorb.

Rembember also: Only NPCs with VORB converted clothes or nude mesh will have different bodies.

I haven´t tried to convert clothes for DMRA. But think that if i would it won´t work as good as hgec e-cup clothes. Because VORB template is made on this body type. Of course there could be done a VORB weightpainted template for every Body Mesh, so that all clothes could be converted too. But then the scale of the skel_ files is used on the bigger breasts for example of dmra, resulting in even bigger breats if the skeleton_ contains breastTransform Scale 1.6 or so.

So the best way would take HCEG E-Cup as the basis of VORB, and all clothes of other bodymods should be converted to HCEG E-Cup an then VORBatizes by copying the weightpainting over.

If somebody would point me to some clothes for HGEC E-Cup i would convert them, because with the help of my scripts it is very fast and easy.

Honestly, this sounds absolutely fantastic to me.  Just the possibility of having this much diversity in the game is amazing...and I really appreciate your work on this for one :)  Hey..and about the skeleton switching...thats a great idea!  Wouldn't be hard at all either...I'll remember to try that for different PC bodies.  Lastly, I think that since most of the clothing available is for HGEC, thats most likely not an issue, either.  Maybe after I move across country I'll try to convert some of the fantastic high-heels and stockings for VORB use, as your instructions didn't make it seem all that hard.  Ok...off to try some of this stuff, and thanks again!

Open wrye bash rebuild the bashed patch, right click in Tweak Actors / VORB an choose only female npcs.

Edit: I need your help! To check if skel_ files were processed correctly it would be very helpfull to have a mod that provides a room with 50 or more npcs. I there a mod out there, or could someone of you do it for me?

So, I can apply some skeletons to women only, and the other to men? If it's so, then vaders, you're a genius  :D

(BTW, can you do a tutorial on how to convert clothes? Or maybe convert big clothes collections like Apachii Goddess Store... for example)

50 (new) npc in one room only?

I don't know about that, but you can use that mod, and add npc manually in one room with player.placeatme "id"

Interestingly enough....this mod may help you vader  http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23611

not too much documentation...it appears to add alot of npc's to dznot cave just outside of imperial city, on the side where the bridge leads to weynet inn.  Im thinking they are clone npc's tho...might not be good for what you want  :(

Also, along the lines of Ofinfin's great suggestion, is this mod:  http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11351      this one adds much city life to each city, and in certain districts to IC.  says 8 to 15 each, with 155 or so total new npcs.

You may also be interested in this...it appears to add npc's via in game script to certain cells as a modders resource for compatability tests or some such...may be just what you need:

Ok...thats about all I can find along the lines of NPC additions that might work out to help you.  Now I should probably get off my computer and finish packing I think, so I can make my deadline to move :P

But thank you for your continued efforts with this mod, and your fast and informative responses on how to work it :D

have fun and happy gaming, -Merctime

Hello, finally managed to get it working! For some reasons python 2.6 based wrye bash couldn't run on my pc (windows 7 64 bit home), pythonw crashing all the time. And standalone MSVC based version (both 291 and svn 292) wasnt supporting VORB patcher script even with your bosh.py. Done a clean install of Oblivion on my laptop (Vista pro 64 bit) with wrye bash 291 python with your bosh.py and it worked.

Man, this mod is amazing! You should license your method of randomizing skeletons ;p Never seen such diversity and realism in any game. Its like speed-tree technology and I wouldnt be surprised if in future some game developers would use this method to "diversify" npcs ;)

Have some issues with 1st person skeleton though (collision, casting animation and dialog camera), or I installed something wrong? And found buggy skeleton too: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=XVYGJ2AP (screen and that npc's skeleton), but those are minor issues. Gonna be testing with xeo and some other mods

Looking great! But i wonder how the pregnant girly works. It uses the pregnant body type mesh and not a VORB one, right? But the male body is VORBatized? Would be cool if you could provide screenshots of the formid finder mod output to check whats going on there.

Link to comment

the pregnancy is working with tamago/2ch setbody mod, in that screenshot she is using pregnant body mesh set automaticly by tamago club according to her pregnancy stage. So vorb doesnt conflict with tamago (mods that change body meshes automaticly in game).  Havent tested children yet, will try them this evening. By the way, is there any way to fix 1st person skeleton? collision/weapon swinging/spellcasting animations. Tryed to installed default growlfs 1st person skeleton but it didnt work out (clothing/body mesh problems on player character)

besides more exaggerated bodies' date=' i think a way to improve this mod is to make another mod that randomize the hair alone hence making it compatible with VORB.

xeo could work but that is if you are okay with the changes in skin too  :-\

I threw this idea out there in another post, but in case anyone was wondering, there is actually a mod that has this specific idea in mind.  it is located here:  http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37096

Thing is, it requires you to get the hair .nif's and .dds's as well as the eye .dds's from other sources, and manually move them into this mod's very well organized (seemingly to me at this time) location so it (the mod) can recognize them.  I'm sure that the xeo family of mods would work, as well as MBP, or my personal favorite the comprehensive style collection (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24077).  Now instead of randomizing it ( I think?)  it has in-game functionality to customize I believe both your PC and the NPC's as well.  Use this with VORB...and booyah instant gorgeous girlies  (if that's what your after...or for realism's sake, make a few beauties and some plain ones, and some downright fuglies if you want hehe).  Just tossing this out there.  Can't wait to see more clothing/armor support for VORB!!  What I'm hoping for personally for VORB-atization are these:

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24194  HGEC more revealing standard armors

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34164  BBB for the above

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25014  Bare shoulder dresses (plus accessories) for HGEC

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37413  Bisquits Real High Heels Vipcxjs

....and any other mods that incorporate sexy stockings but hopefully use Vipcxj's real high heel system so as not to have the stubby leg look.  Im using that one from Bisquits now...and it is really night and day to the other high heel mods that don't use Vip's scripts etc.  and it appears to work just fine with the latest and greatest skeleton  (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37596).  Probably my favorite part of these high heels is that the stocking models are a part of the FEET models...so the girls can have hot thigh-high stockings under dresses and armor :D  FRICKEN JOY!!!  And...if you set the settings for females not to undress their feet during sex....you can take off they're skirt/dress/pants and have a yummy surprise as you bend her over  *rubs hands furiously in excitement*  8)    .....sure hope more people design they're stocking mods like that....works great for lovers....anyways I'm done rambling.

Happy gaming everyone....and to all of the modders/translators here, thank you again for keeping this game so amazing and even better than the first time I ever played it    ;D

Hey Merctime If i were you i would look into the optional files of VORB http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37013 ;)

you....are....simply....the.....MAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH VADER!!!    \o/

*rushes off to download*

Edit:  oh, this is fricken awesome....you know how you can close out firefox and save the pages you have up?  VORB has been a saved page for days....i've been refreshing it to check and see comments, and stuff changing for a few days now....wonderful work and I can't wait to try it!  Wow...re-installing obliv now...so I can see this in all it's glory without all of my clothing mods added (the DMRA stuff).  And, with your advice on how to use multiple body types for PC's....and how to make changes to the NPC's if I want something different then the randomness....dude...I CAN'T WAIT.

Thank you,

btw, clothes haven´t to be bbb before VORBatizing them. VORB automatically adds BBB to the clothes.

And with the latest upload, a newer one posted before i saw it. its funny to see only right breast bouncing.

I will have a look into that.

Okay Bare Shoulder Dresses v1 is VORBatized, too and looking great, besides the little breast problem ;)
