Second, these items take up space - my player and (and my housecarl and my steward) all have to walk around them. Third, I can place myself (my character) in the torture devices.

Despite this I also can not eliminate them with the remove torture device spell (Sidfu's temperamental spell notwithstanding I believe that I have tried every square millimeter of the body gibbet and some areas around it without success). When I tell a slave that "I am going to tie you up" and "let's get you into one of these toys" they look like they are genuinely trying (moving in the right direction, shuffling feet, etc.) but can not interact with them. Finally when I try "you are going to do something for me" and ask them to use the devices I have found that they can not use the newer ones (in my case I tried body gibbet and slave pole) but she could use the pillory.

This make me believe that the problem is not in the furniture but in something with how HSH handles how the slaves (and the remove spell) handle the new furniture.

I hope this helps in ironing out whatever bug this is. And I know that there is probably nothing you can do about it but I miss the chandelier.

 

Sounds weird. The spell, get you into a toy command, and the do something for me command all use different ways to recognize furnitures. The fact that the ZAP8 furniture is there (or even the fact you can place it with the spell) doesn't mean anything, the removal spell and toy command use a list of valid furniture. ZAP 7 and early versions of ZAP 8 do not have this list; the last version of ZAP 8 does. Without this list, HSH has no way of knowing what is a torture device and what is a regular chair.

 

The papyrus logs are in your Documents folder, My Games\Skyim\Logs. You have to enable the logs first, I can't remember the exact setting for that though.

 

But the "do something for me" command is just the plain old Skyrim "favour" command, it should work on any furniture. If they can't get in at all, something else is wrong. Again the logs might tell you why (or sometimes the NPC does say something like "no, not possible")

Oh right I forgot: you should also enable debug logging in the MCM menu for Home Sweet Home (on the Info page)

 

With logging enabled: try the reset Dependencies button again, wait for the completion message, quit the game, and post the log please.

Are you sure you placed the devices that are navmesh compatible? aka where npc's actually can walk? If you use a mod that allows you to remove furniture ingame, it does not allow npc's to move there since the navmesh is still unaffected. This means there is a blind spot there right now where no one can get to except you or if you use the normal follower command to do something for you.

Thanks for the suggestions. Tbh the only ones i use right now is the dawnguard one. I also found another one called "the dark tower" (or whatever it was called). it even comes with it's own armor, one follower and npc's. Too bad there are no bdyslide addons so you are kinda stuck with the meshes as is. Oh, i also forgot to mention there is a new plant called marihuana, in it. You can guess what "alchemical" things (mind derp, i couldn't get the english word for some reason. So it defaulted to "things" :grin:. Grrr, i hate the new smileys -_-) it does.

My apologies. I should have figured that out myself. I did warn you that I had no experience with this.

 

The attached papyrus log comes from loading a saved game, turning on the enable debug logging,, reset dependencies and exit the game. I hoped by keeping it simple it would help with sorting things out.

In this regard the hanging gibbet is placed in the entrance hall of Lakeview Manor where I and my slaves walked without impediment prior to casting the place torture device spell. It is also the place where I had previously placed the chandelier from the old Zaz (did I mention that I miss the chandelier?)

Hm, the log is inconclusive but still points to your Zaz 8 pack not having the right furniture list. The rest of the dependency reset proceeds normally.

Unfortunately I don't think you can get info on FormLists from the game's console.

 

I'm changing the dependency check in the MCM menu to actually look for the furniture list and not show Zaz 8 as present when that list is missing. But for now I don;t know how to help you along. If you have Tes5Edit or the CK installed you could look for the furniture list in your version of ZAP 8

Okay, I do have TES5Edit but it took me some time to refresh my memory on how to use it. When I reach the point when I am supposed to apply the filter the list of files appears in the left hand screen. An entire section of this is labeled "furniture." When I open it out (hit the +) there are hundreds of items listed beginning with zbfXCross and ending with zbfCubePoleOutdoors. Let me know if you have any other questions. By the way, thanks for the help and the helpful attitude.

There most certainly is not. There are seven listed: zbfListMetalCageDoor, zbfListMetalCageLongDoor, zbfListImperialJailDoor, zbfListRiftenJailDoor, zbfListFarmhouseJailDoor, zbfListSolitudeJailDoor and zbfListWhipFurniture.

Okay, halfway there (I think). Zaz8 says the latest update is 11-15 (when it was released). I downloaded it on 11-18. However, T.ara has newer files on his download page (dated 11-19). So I downloaded this Zaz8 and replaced the older version that I had. It has the zbfListFurniture in it. The remove torture device spell now works (although as previously indicated it can be a bit touchy about where you have to aim it). But my slaves still won't get on the devices despite my insistence. When I tell them to do so they stand and stare at the device longingly. When I address them again they are in the "snap out of it" state. I have taken the liberty of attaching another debug log in the hope that this might lead to a solution. I apologize that this one is longer than the previous because I did take the time to discover what would work and what would not.

For the record I did run LOOT and FNIS. I did reset dependencies (and as Musje stated it does take about a minute - although it feels longer). I also enabled debug logging prior to my last attempt at getting the slaves on the pole.

Hey Jappa, I,m sorry. I finally got mine to work (apologies to Musje).

What I needed to do was to follow Musje's directions (listed above) but then I needed to restart the entire thing. Once I had started after saving I had no problem (it worked just like the old combination HSH/Zaz.

What Musje didn't say was that when Zaz8 was properly loaded and you hit the Info button (the one you need to hit to get to the Reset Dependencies button) there will also be a 30-60 sec. delay (if you're an anxious sort it might look like it's frozen - please just wait). Once that responds there will be a second wait of 30-60 seconds (maybe longer on a slower machine) when you hit reset dependencies.

A paean of praise and many thanks to Musje for walking me through this and for a fabulous (and now functioning) Mod.

 

Hey Lodakai - you seem to know a lot of good mods. Any suggestions for a dominatrix dress (must be clothing [armor class 0] for my mage). I would like one in red and one in black (same dress or different, doesn't matter - yes I know I'm a picky bitch). I have been looking here and on Skyrim Nexus and either they are armor or simply don't tell what they are (but the ones I've downloaded turned out to be armor).

Musje walked me through it above and you can do it that way if you want. My problem, as I acknowledged above, is that my version of Zaz8 was the original (old) one from 11-15. So, the first thing you should do is check which version of Zaz8 that you have (the new one is 11-19-2017). T.ara was kind enough to put dates on his files anyway. If my problem sounds familiar to you then you should first check that out.

Definitely not. There is an issue with the sex levels: PAHE tracks these in 3 separate values and a single value which is the average of the 3, and sometimes these get unsynced. The result is that you sometimes end up with sex = 0 after a transfer from HSH to PAHE and back. (the solution: after transfer to PAHE, have sex with the slave to true-up the values).

 

If the other values are 0 as well, then that could be a load order issue. Make sure to run LOOT to fix this. Also check the papyrus logs.
