karlpaws Posted January 7, 2017 Posted January 7, 2017 Well, I guess he didn't tell you to put that load order in a spoiler so you didn't know to do that, and you're new... but haven't read enough of the threads to find out that is what you should do. I don't see some mods like Better Dialog controls, so I'd say search back or really read through the thread to see what other suggestions there are for extra, good to have, mods. Next, are the [CCAS] I am in a dark tale lines showing up and you choose them but it does not start the game, do you not see them at all, or do they show up but you cannot choose them? Then, look at your papyrus log and search for [ccas] lines that should say if things are happening, having errors or not showing up at all. There are lots of directions on the board already on how to do that.

I'm not sure what the choices look like, but if you don't have quite a few of the soft dependencies, (SD+, Angrims, milk mod, stories, whateverelsehehaslisted) then I think that's what happens. It'll go back to the cell. I've got ... 99% of them and the only one where it sticks in the cell for a moment is the giant start. And I think it's because it takes slave tats a moment to register on your body. I just give it a minute and it'll pop me where I belong. I don't see very many of the other mods that this one will look for to give you those options, so maybe that's what's going on. Does the same thing happen if you choose the option that says "no requirements"? **Also not sure if the other two alt start extensions would give you trouble. Have you tried disabling those two and trying again?

That bug is something that other people have had. Causes and solutions have been user dependant as they seem connected to mods not working together when you have enough. The script errors may or may not be the issue, as some mods that are not involved might have things they cannot do, and do not need done. So, look back through the thread and find some of the suggestions. One of them will probably work for you.

Insert standard boilerplate here: If you're using any of the following mods, try disabling them: JUGS, Eternal Darkness Redone, ImprovementInn, OBIS, Genesis, Maria Eden, Skyrim Unbound, Populated Skyrim. If you're looking for the Chaurus Breeder scenario, make sure to activate and fully configure EC+ before you sleep in the LAL bed. Ideally, you'll be saving the game, exiting, and reloading it before even talking to the Mara statue. Make sure that Live Another Life is very low in your load order, ideally just before LAL mods (like CCAS), bashed patches, TES5Merged patch, etcetera. LOOT generally does a good job at sorting these mods. If you've been using an older save in the starting cell, that could cause problems - try beginning a brand new game instead. If you're using Mod Organizer or another mod manager, that might be the cause of some issues. I recommend manually installing just to be on the safe side. Make sure you're using EZ2C or Better Dialogue Controls or some other mod that fixes the vanilla engine bug with dialogue (NB: USKP or USLEEP does not fix this bug). If you plain don't want to use a mod like that, try using the arrow keys instead of the mouse in the dialogue menu. If you're having a common problem where you sleep in the LAL bed, the screen fades to black, and fades back in and nothing appears to have happened, try jdough's fix: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/60586-content-consumers-alternate-starts/page-27?do=findComment&comment=1596428 Note that the Giant Offering, Soulgem Oven, Chaurus Egg Breeder, Expectant Mother, and Egg Factory scenarios can take several seconds for everything to finish initializing after sleeping in the LAL bed. If you try all of that and still nothing is working, attach a copy of your papyrus log (instructions can be found here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/22241-sexlab-troubleshooting-support-guide/)and I'll see if I can find anything relevant in it. A copy of your load order may also help. To keep the thread clean, please don't just paste the text directly in your post - put it in a spoiler tag or attach it as a text file instead. Grabbing the Keeper key isn't too difficult but when i head back i end up in a room with a pair of orbs that sends me to a room full of essential fire dogs and nothing to activate or go through, and the only thing that i see that even looks important is some crystal shit that doesn't do anything as far as i can tell.

I've downloaded a load of the mods required for the starts, making sure that all are properly installed with their individual prerequisites, and loaded up a new save from the prison. talking to the statue of mara, I go to CC's starts and only 4 show up. The Giant offering, milk farm, dwemer robot and I forget the 4th i'm afraid. it's always these 4, regardless of how many times I tweak my load order or change other mods i'm using. Any idea what i've done wrong?

Any idea what i've done wrong? It sounds like it might be a vanilla bug rearing its head. Are you using Better Dialogue Controls or EZ2C Dialogue Menu? Those two fix the bug. If you don't want to use either of those, using the keyboard in the dialogue menu instead of the mouse should get you to those "hidden" options.

They use SD+ to handle the enslavement, but it's not a hard requirement - if you don't use SD+, you basically just start in the cave near a creature. A minimalist scenario is certainly possible too. I'll put it on my to-do list. I can't use Beastess Lairs without making it a dependency. That is, it might be possible, but it invites potential problems. I don't want to do it with added creatures, but for just the player without any other NPCs added into the mix it might be okay... I'll look into it.

Do not have fast travel enabled right away like Beastess Caves do, but easy enough to find or just COC yourself into them.

I might remember wrong, but placing you and animals I think is what it did. Not sure now if you could be placed at it, or just had to find the object, similar to finding the altar for the Molag Bal vampire/succubus option. I have used COC to enter both the beastess lairs and the HHoS locations, though I'm not sure what options there are for spawning in animals. Bedrolls might work, though a LOT of the HHoS locations are fairly small and would be quite cramped with 2-3 wolves. HHoS is a really nice little mod, even has a couple journals and other story material added from the perspective of an explorer and how he found some of them. There is an addon that has 4 more attached to the walled cities and a criminal outside Riverwood with a scrap of journal detailing the escape routes into or out of the cities and some narrow escapes. There are even 2 locations on Solsteim. Animal wise, there is a hollow tree stump not far from the Falkreath lair and an actual wolf lair just north of the giant camp on the west end of the Whiterun plains (where you get Ysolda's tree sap). Several other holes in mountain sides: north of Fort Kastav/Windhelm and between the mage guild quest line's fort that thief ran off to and the dragon mound just east of Whiterun. Another on Hrothgar's mountain.. could be the home of the troll that is usually on the cliff and jumps down on you. Might as well stop now. You can install the mod and use the console to "help hhos" and get a list of all the places. CoC to them, look around, leave to get the map marker and check the next. Take a good look around the one outside Riften though. Couple funny little bits in there.
