I love the sound of this but would it work for a female player who enjoys the company of (and watching) men? I don't mind the dialogue being gender incorrect and I can swap animation positions around if needed, but could a female character gain membership?

Yes. There are no checks on the sex of the player character, nor limitations on the sex of participants in the "random sex" events. However, the dialog is geared toward a gay male player, as are the options presented if you opt (via MCM) to participate in the sex events.  :)

So... love the mod and love your mods in general, even the ones I can't run. I have to say though that the Windhelm club was a bit jarring. I expected more swank on entry--at least to the level of the Solitude club--and a more rustic feel to the club, given the rough exterior. The club itself is a bit intimidating. And I'd like a cozier sleeping area.

FWIW. The concept's great and I love that the guys are having a good time, and invite you to join them. It's a much better feel when there's that kind of interactivity going on.

Fair point. My problem with Windhelm (and Riften, which I am working on now) is "logistical" as well as finding an architecture set I can work with.

My original plan for Windhelm was to go something like Solitude: build an entrance inside the city, and then make something fancy inside using Windhelm-style parts. Problem one, I couldn't find a way to add even a basic doorway, no parts that worked, and very few places to even add one anyway. So eventually I decided to make a farm, and created a romantic style setting inside. I did try using all farm interiors for the bath, but those are just way too small and cramped, in my view.

Problem two was that Windhelm architecture simply doesn't lend itself to building baths... no way to make a sunken floor, basically. So in the end, I went with snow elf, since that allowed me to make the pool. But that only allows for very large rooms (ie, high ceilings).

Aside from practical considerations, however, I did want to do something significantly different in overall design, so that's what led to that unusual sleeping area. I figured it would be mitigated somewhat by the garden.

Riften will be more like Windhelm, in this respect: Riften-style farmhouse outside the city, and the baths this time will be dwemer-style. Personally I don't like dwemer builds, but I figure others may. I had the same issue with making a sunken floor, but I found a way to work around that, and it has the bonus of it not being just a repeat of the other two locations, as far as pool design goes. The sleeping area is even more spartan, which I think fits Dwemer builds better. (No exposed pipes btw... can't stand those.)

Thanks, glad you like. :)

Oh God, I love this!! Between this and the Candle Pond Ranch, my poor PC isn't going to get anything else done   Apart from hair colour (I'm more into dark than blond), you and I obviously share similar taste in men too - there are some gorgeous guys here. Love the artwork too

I'm really glad you're enjoying it! :)

Blonds, yeah I do prefer them, I admit. BUT ... look at it this way: (stereo)typically, nordic people tend to be blond more than dark haired. So I can use that as an excuse. ;)

If you use a Dwemer build for Riften, what are you going to do if you go to Markarth?  :D

What about a Ratway type of build for Riften, since it has all those canal apartments?

It does, but ... uhm, it is just a tiny bit ugly, don't you think? :)

Besides, who says I can't use dwemer twice? ;)

Make it in the docks.

I used the old warehouse sometime ago as my own makeshift "club".

The Black Briar Lodge would make a nice place albeit a bit small.

I don't want to use any place that already serves a function in the game, since it might break ... something.

Related; I won't be doing a club at Whiterun, since no matter what space I pick for it, it will confict with some other mod.

1.6 is up. Many small changes "under the hood", for stuff needed by the Riften club. Still...

  • New: a hot key to trigger player masturbation. Set the key in MCM. Masturbation will work anywhere, not only in club(s).
  • New: random animal sex. New MCM option, depends on (a) player being manager ( B) animals being enabled © random human sex being enabled. For the Solitude club, this will be only player/animals, in the basement, unless you forcibly bring other NPCs down there. Other clubs may have additional NPCs in place.

Riften club will come once I have finished testing it all. But it needs the stuff I did for the main club, thus the update.

Added: Btw, since add-ons are now possible, that means anyone can make one. If there is interest, I can write up a doc on how to do that. The most basic, having random sex trigger in a cell, is as simple as flagging any item in the cell with a location ref type.

Added: See the d/l page for update instructions.

Between the Bathing Beauties and Beefcake Luxury Suite, Northern Bathhouses, Paradise Valley,Expanded Towns and Cities,Dawn of Whiterun,Skyrim Radioactive and even the Fox Bakery among other miscellaneous location mods,Whiterun's real estate market is just about tapped out so it is the best choice to avoid adding to the possible clutter.

There is plenty of space out there in the Rift on or around lake Honrich so it shouldn't be too tough to find some place to squeeze something in. For whatever reason, the area near Riften hasn't been overdeveloped. Could it be Riften's reputation that is to thank/blame?

As for add-on ideas that we could all consider:For someplace where there is little to no chance to mess something up,one has to look where there is little to nothing that can be messed up.

The frozen north is more of less freed up but then that brings up the issues of accessibility and more importantly, potential shrinkage.

Under the sea? Right,it would bring similar accessibility issues but with the added problem of drowning.

Still,a boat could always take people out to sea if the club isn't on a boat. That'll make for opportunities for puns about vessels filled with seamen and dingies and such silliness.

I'm not sure on what triggered this but.

I was in the solitude club and a follower requested some action.

I selected the 1st option but nothing happend... at all. as in the scene didn't even align or anything.

When I spoke to them again they had the same dialogue and I picked the last option to cancel but this did nothing as well.

Walked out into the streets of solitude and they where still stuck on that same dialogue.

Had to reload the game to clear the dialogue but wasn't able to replicate it again.

Exactly my point re: Whiterun. ;)

As for Riften, the next add-on will be just outside the south gate.

Update without cleaning?  Dunno either, if it isn't that, since this has been extensively tested.

I think it might have been a once off.

I tried for almost an hr to replicate the issue and couldn't...

Guess it must have just been an unlucky random sequence of things.

Entirely possible, yes. Kinda like random crashes before/during/after sexlab events.

I had to release an update for 1.6, as 1.6.1. If you already downloaded and installed 1.6, you should be ok with that.

  • Fix: Minor bug with strip script. Should not have caused crashes, but better safe than sorry.
  • Fix: A developer option was accidentally left in 1.6; removed.
  • Fix: changed default masturbation hot-key to 'K' ('L' conflicts with "local" when map is open).
  • Known bug: you can get a quest marker on Erikur's front door instead of the club entrance. No idea why, yet.

Also released the Riften club:

Riften Men's Club: Located beyond the south gate of Riften, just before Snow-Shod Farm. Unlike the Windhelm club, this has a very short introductory quest, which starts at the Solitude club. Once you have become manager, the quest kicks off. The Riften club has animals available (optional, via MCM), but here they are "basic": dogs, huskies, horses, bears.

I'm a huge fan of this mod, however I'm forced to wait for future updates that might fix it. I just installed the updates and it seems now the entry room of the club is it's own cell.

This is now one of the nightmare situations where I wait for 1-2 minutes loading screen just to make 5 steps and wait another 1-2 minutes. This means 3 to 5 minutes to enter the club.

I understand that this is problematic subject as different PC configurations react differently to big cells, but I'm not sure why in this case the entry room needs it's own cell. I think by now most player's PC's can handle bigger cells.

And more and more players will be faced with longer loading screens because of the higher resolutions and hi-res texture packs.

So for now I'm going back  to 1.3 as this is the only earlier version I found on my hard drive. And hope this cell was added by mistake and will be removed at some point in the future.

Isn't PC hotkey masturbation already built into SexLab Aroused? If you just press the "N" key, it shows arousal levels, but if you hold it down for a few seconds and let go, it triggers PC masturbation.

ETA:  Is there a download mirror? I can't download the file from here. Every time, the download completes at around 10MB, leaving me with a partial file.

That change was intentional, and documented in the release notes. and I don't plan to merge them back, given how much work it was to split them.

There is no way I can cater to everyone's set-up. Things like this will be great for some, less great for others. Can't be helped. I did it for practical reasons: it allowed me to make the NPC AI more natural in the baths area. If load doors give you long load times, reconsider whether you really need high res textures.

I had no clue it worked that way - LOL! Oh well, no biggie really.

No download mirror. If others have the same problem, I guess I could add one.

Well, that's unfortunate :-(

It adds another mod to the list of mods I really like and I want to play but I do not (like the several ones requiring FloppySOS for some reason).

I can understand putting the basement in it's own cell, but the small entry room... there is no actual real reason to do that. No PC considerations, no setup considerations, nothing.... A small room with one or two NPSs...

There is no point on catering to the needs of the low end PC owners.

Very soon they will buy a new - better PC because the new games get more and more resource hungry.

When you play on a 4K TV you need the hi-res textures. The trend is upwards, not downwards. More and more people will play those mods on a good computer....

If their PC could handle Dragonsreach or the Thieves guild HQ then there is no reason why it would not handle one more small room attached to the main club area.

Anyways... I'm just really sad that there is yet another glass wall between me and yet another from those rare m-to-m mods ...

There is a reason - I gave it.

Not my reason at all.

Speaking for myself, I would find long load times, in the order of minutes, unacceptable and thus remove the high-res packs. But that's me and how I play. But again, low end computers did not factor into my decision at all. I've done mods which some cannot handle because it is too heavy for their system (Blackthorne Patch).

Anyways... I'm just really sad that there is yet another glass wall between me and yet another from those rare m-to-m mods ...

Sorry too - but this is a wall of your own making.

Ctrl + F for "cell" on the description page shows nothing relevant.

Inside of the posts of the thread there is this:

"Solitude Club now split into two cells. "

There is no explanation. Nothing from the previous posts suggests this will happen.

Now I only played it for several minutes and I think that this is incorrect - I think the cells are 3 - the entry room, the club and the basement.

I can't imagine it in some other way also - if the club + the basement can be 1 cell why on earth the small underpopulated entry room is so hard to handle ...

I actually have an idea why. You scan the cell for horny dudes and you don't want the bathers rushing away upstairs out of player's view. This would not happen downstairs as there is no navmesh there, however there is such upstairs because of the followers and visitors. But this seems easy to fix without punishing the player with yet another loading screen - you know who the NPC's in the entry room are so it is quite easy to disregard them. I've become member of the club 5 times now and it is always the same dude who takes my 500 septims. It should be quite easy to exclude him (and his colleague) from all SL calls.

Anyways, the wall is not of my making. There is no real reason to impose 2 loading screens with 10 walking steps between them. Nothing can justify that.

And there is no reason why a mod would require FloppySOS which already contains settings for all NPC's and which is and always was buggy and weird as hell - except to prevent people from using it.

But this is the reality of the free open-source modding :-) So I am thankful for the 1.3 version that I'm going to be using.

This is a 32-bit game that's over four years old. Filling it up with 4k textures is just doing your damnedest to break it.

Not true(partly).

Filling it with 4k textures is a terrible idea. However filling it with 2K textures works just fine except for the longer loading screens and the FPS hit in the first seconds after the cell loads.

Regardless how old the game is, it is still  the best existing virtual world platform. Look at the posts at this site. Nobody is playing "Skyrim" in Skyrim anymore. This is a fantasy virtual world that, thanks to the effort of all those brilliant modders, lets you do whatever you want. Way better than Second Life, or GayVilla or whatever other virtual platform there is. And even if FO4 ends up offering more in terms of technical possibilities, it will still be inferior because of it's narrow post apocalyptic environment.

Now the problem is - this platform is somewhat old. But there are tools to keep it alive. It is not that hard to fix the "32-bit" and memory allocation problems. And the truth is - it looks and it works quite good on a 4K resolution with a reasonable selection of retextures (this takes some trial-and-error testing of different mods). It has a negative impact on the loading screens. On my PC if I play on a lower resolution or lower quality the loading screens take about 5 seconds. On high quality in 4K it can take up to 2 minutes. But the difference in the actual game experience is worth it. You simply alter your playstile to avoid too many cell changes. Which is actually not that hard. You avoid fasttravel to Dragonsreach or the couple of others similar "loading-screen-traps".
