Installed it to test it and its great :)

However due to the texture mismatches, I have found the need to uninstall it.

If I run around nude, the textures are fine. When wearing any other clothing, the textures scramble.

So, I installed Glorious Female Nudes over the top of it. Now if I wear clothing, its fine. But if I'm nude, the textures are scrambled.

Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this?

Thanks~

You cannot wear any of the vanilla outfits with the CBBE Alpha without some texture mismatch, unless it's a full suit of course like a Vault suit for example. I used a mod called Unique Player that allows you to run a unique body for just your character to get around that issue.

If you are still trying to uninstall CBBE I would go back and check if there are any files you forgot to remove.

Hey wait a second.  If I'm running the unique player mod, so I can run around looking different than everyone else, how does CBBE.esp handle that?  Can I run the unique companion mod too and have a unique CBBE Curie body too?  idk...given the way the CBBE mod makes use of unique files, idk if it screws up compatibility with the other mods...

thanks for any feedback.

As far as I know the CBBE.esp only tells the game where to look for and insert the back of the head/neck texture. That files stays where it is supposed to, as it goes unused in vanilla FO4. In theory yes, a unique follower mod should work provided you maintain the original CBBE install structure. I am only using a unique mod for the player character(without issues) so I cannot confirm for companions.

I'm not entirely sure, but as long as the custom race of the unique player mod uses the same head part for the rear of the head (FemaleHeadRear_TEMP or something along those lines in the .ESM) then the CBBE.esp fix should keep working.

Hope that helps clear it up. As for unique follower, the one on nexus doesn't change mesh paths yet, so not much use for CBBE at the moment.

Ya I haven't had any issues which is great. Supposedly a full on custom head path requires the CK and a custom race(according to the Unique Player author). If that is true then any of current unique follower mods should still support CBBE as well. At least I would imagine so.

...but if you're doing that, a different folder was created in the character folder:  PlayerHumanFemale.  THAT folder, when I used other mods or my own, I had to transfer a copy of the texture/normal/specular map to that folder for it to work...because the unique player mod makes a vanilla copy of the old folder.  My concern is: I do that, CBBE is looking still at the BaseHumanFemale folder then I'm not unique OR I get screwed up textures.  I'll try it both ways, I was hoping not to load the game over and over and over...

I was making stomach muscles for the CBBE texture in the last hour or so.  It truly sucks I can't use NifSkope to check it out instead of loading the whole game 20 times.  I have NifSkopie 2.0 alpha, no bueno for me.  I'm gonna upload that now, but I'm not sure where the guy was that asked for female stomach muscles...

Actually, I've been modding for 2 weeks.  I CAN use FO4Edit and see stuff, but I still am learning wtf it means...;(   I downloaded BSA extractor yesterday, and that was the first one I ever used...

Thank you for showing CBBE cannot be used for the followers yet because the unique mod doesn't point to the mesh paths.  Man I wish I could just fix that...

I'm now mostly confused but want to thank everyone that responded.  Looks like the unique player mod will work, but not the unique follower mod given the feedback so far.  I'm going to verify/falsify that presently.

Given ur involved with making the stuff with CBBE, can I share on this site a texture that gives the body--girl stomach muscles like this?

Or modding stuff like that is no bueno también?  I don't know exactly what is shareable or not.  If it's not shareable, I'll just make it for myself.  I've dated a gymnast and a Yoga instructor...I would like to add quads to the legs, and add more back definition.  I would like to put in butt indentations on the outside of the behind, and back dimples above the butt by the sacrum too.

Ppl here just look like they made bodyslides and ask for clothes to be fit to them by someone who has access to Outfit Designer.  I run around naked most of the time in the game unless there's potential combat...for some reason being a naked woman calms me.

Thank you for any direction.  How the heck would I recreate your learning path for modding Bethesda games?

i need a little help, for some reason the game is using the default texture i cant seem to fix it. all the new textures are in the fallout4/data folder.

I had to uninstall all the other body replacement mods, then uninstall CBBE, then reinstall CBBE to work.  Part of the reason I asked wtf the CBBE.esp was doing was I couldn't figure out, why I would have to do that.  I use LOOT to get the optimal load order, but I didn't see it loading another mod after CBBE.  I am checking to see if it's true the unique player mod works with CBBE, but not the unique follower.  I reversed even the unique player mod for CBBE to work.  Now, I'll see if I can turn that on and not screw it up again...enjoy.

You can verify CBBE installed correctly by opening the femalebody_d.dds to check to see if it's the right one.  It looks way different from the vanilla texture.  It should look like this (this is not a good file, it's an example)

CBBE also installs meshes, but idt any other mod for FO4 does that yet for body replacers, I've seen them for armor.

I've used various other viewers for dds files but the lastest ones only photoshop is opening with the nVidia plugin, so maybe there are others, idk.

I use NMM to install the mods because it seems to non-destructively install stuff almost all the time.  If you manually installed CBBE, idk, cause I can't follow the design of the CBBE mod itself yet.  To install CBBE with NMM, just download the zip, open NMM, click the Plus symbol on the left side, click on the CBBE zip, and ur good.  Then use NMM to install.

Have you even tried using both mods? Or are you just speculating out loud? Because I'll tell you right now I've been using the Unique Player mod for almost two weeks now in conjunction with CBBE .esp and all and it works fine. I just installed the mod, installed CBBE, transferred my CBBE body & hand textures into the appropriate new PlayerHumanFemale folders and voila. What's the concern? CBBE.esp will still find the texture it needs just fine in it's default location. Just install it already lol. I'll take a screen shot and prove it if you don't believe it, but it isn't all that complicated.

Yo!  When I used CBBE and the unique player and unique follower mods active, I had female settlers with my ass.  NO bueno.  My butt is unique, damn it.  It had no affect on my companions, and I wanted to give unique bodies to my companions, one different for Curie and Piper.  That, I can't do, because as best I understand it, the meshes have to change and idk how to do that manually.  I can easily make the bodies.  If you can tell me where to but the meshes, that would be cool.  Unique player mod creator it was implied know the stuff deeply, maybe he know hows CBBE behaves with either mod.  I'll pm him.

I'm not implying anything is wrong with the mod, I'm trying to understand how to get what I want with the mod at present.  That's all.

You forgot to completely remove your CBBE made body from the default/vanilla folder and placing it in the new PlayerHumanFemale Mesh folder then.

Reading through the comments of the Unique Companions mod(as I don't use it) it says that there is no current custom mesh support. It isn't mentioned in the mod description either.

Here is Piper on vanilla body, hand meshes, and vanilla style textures + CBBE player character full custom to show it working.

Hey guys this just showed up on nexus. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15/?

It is the alpha complete with bodyslide.

Don't wanna spoil anything but you guys should look at the mods released on nexus :P

Ha you and I posted at the same time! Yeah people are not supposed to post this there. It's in the alpha agreement.

Edit nevermind just noticed who did it. I need better glasses.

Yea i just seen the nexus upload, but want to confirm a few things before i consider downloading it.

1. Is the neck gap/seam and the wrist seams sorted?

2. Which face texture goes with the body texture, vanilla?
