Paradise Halls - Home Sweet Home

Have you considered using the Campfire mod, for the construction and placement of cages, etc?  It may help in allowing players to choose where they want to keep their slaves, then again, I don't know nearly enough about Skyrim's scripting to know if this would increase or decrease the workload on you.

 

 

So rather than assume you know what mod I'm referring too(which I almost did before posting this...), I'll leave the link as well.

I am thinking about a feature that would allow you to let your slaves stay in any playerhome. Dont want it to be too free though (like leaving slaves in NPC homes). And I haven't found a good way to detect who owns the home: GetActorOwner seems to retun None for pretty much any cell in the game, and GetFactionOwner isn't much help either.

 

By the way there is no requirement to get the children's room upgrade (or anu other upgrade) before you can buy the cell upgrades! If your house is empty you can go and buy the cell upgrade. If you already have the childrens' room or enchanter lab or whatever, the cell upgrade will simply replace it (and you even get a discount on the price :)

 

 

 

idea for how to detect if its a player home, but I am not sure how hard it would be to implement (though I know a couple of other mods have

done so) would be to have them able to stay only at a specific keyword (LocTypePlayerHouse) which MUST be tied to a location.

For some reason most people who make player homes forget to do this step which means the pc is techinically "squatting" since

the home is not "owned" by the player.  Doing it this way would insure that they could only stay at a "owned" home at least, and

also they would not be able to stay at NPC's houses,Inns, Jarl's houses, etc..

 

I discovered that little gem out when I was trying to modify a downloaded mod (I eventually found a better one) to be compatible with a

specific other mod.

My only gripe is that once my slaves reach "70" in their slavery level, they talk to me with the "Throw Voice" Dialogue, everything else is fine though.

 

 

Is that happening for house slaves under Home Sweet Home only, or also for slaves managed by PAHE?

Oh and I think I might have found out what causes the unresponsive NPCs, once you reach your home (Slave chamber and everything) and the NPC will have the dialogue option "You will stay here for a while", instead of "You will take care of this place" they will become unresponsive (will not engage in dialogue) and just do the "why me" thingo, this seems to happen at random. as I can have 2 of the same npcs and one of them will have the proper dialogue, and the other wont. 

 

Example I have 2 bandit npcs both with the same class, race, and gender. 1 will have the "You will stay here for a while" and be unresponsive, while the other will have the "Take care of this place" and work properly.

Thanks Bridledname, maybe that will help me narrow it down. Was this in a particular house, and when you added the slave who became unresponsive, was there already another 70+ slave there, and if so what activity was he engaged in? If you add an untrained slave to a house that has a trained slave, the trained one will come and escort the new resident to the cell.

if you're going to give me credit for that the load order still needs adjusted...

i'd suggest using skyrimlauncher (adjust the load order then use skse to launch the game)

to adjust things proper until somebody can fix loot

next are you using this with the latest pah sl extension repack and the latest home sweet home

and finally the dialog choices listed above as your issue is the untrained slave

after adjusting your load order as shown above and updating to the latest repack if you're still having trouble with untrained slaves post the log here for us to look into fixing it

I'm either blind or what you're talking about isn't there. I thought you went to buy upgrades at some inn between ivarstead and riften? And i also read almost all of the posts for this mod and what i got from it was that when you buy the upgrade for this mod from whoever sells it, it replaces the childs room? is that correct? because that would be perfect since i don't adopt any kids.

 

 

The mod adds (optional) upgrades for each of the 5 townhouses, AND adds a new inn near Rorikstead. The upgrades can be bought from the innkeeper there.

 

As for the rooms that are replaced:

Whiterun: the space on the ground floor to the left and behind the stairs (the kids room I think)

Solitude: the dusty looking basement bedroom (coming into the basement from the stairs: left and then left again)

Winterhold: upstairs, the small room opposite the master bedroom

Markath: the enchanter lab next to the living room

Riften: Basement enchanter room

 

There is no choice in which room is replaced but upgrades for different rooms are coming

 

The inn has the same functions as the house upgrades and can hold 14 slaves by the way. You can't really use it yet since you don't get the key to the basement. I hope to publish a new version this week that adds the quest to get that key.

As far as the houses will it work with custom/mod homes too? not the upgrades to the homes obviously but telling slaves to stay at those types of homes? For example I have the Riverwood Lodge and Underground Bathhouse.

 

And also what about a modded vanilla home like modded breezehome? will the upgrades still work in that case?

 

modded breezehome depends on whether the mod interferes with the child's bedroom

this mod isn't made for custom homes so telling a slave to wait in 1 of those is back to the escape mechanics of pahe and how well your slave is trained

-So far I have only had slaves in the Markarth, Solitude, and Riften homes the unresponsiveness will happen at a random npc, and if he/she has that dialogue "You will stay here for a while" she will be completely unresponsive after. Despite exiting cell or reloading save.

-No I could have a house with 1 slave that's 70+ already, or a completely empty house with a newly bought slave cell, and the unresponsive bug would still happen to any npc. Same goes for the trained/untrained npc the dialogue appears at random.

 

If you add an untrained slave to a house that has a trained slave, the trained one will come and escort the new resident to the cell.

-For some reason I can't seem to get the trained slave to escort the untrained slave to her cell (Riften, will try Other homes ASAP) and once asked to be trained by the trainer the untrained slave will just follow her trainer and do the "lewd greet" thing to the trainer, trainer will also stand-still and do nothing, but still be responsive. (not sure if anything is supposed to happen but the trainer will also have a whip appear on her but just stand still, or follow you around, while the slave in training is following her)

 

-Perhaps, the slaves are mistaking your home for the "restless hunter"?

A untrained slave will only be escorted if the trained slave isn't confined to her cell. If they were told to wait somewhere or make themselves useful (sandbox) then they will escort new arrivals. Try parking the trained slave somewhere in with a clear path to where you are with the new arrival. If the trained slave has no clear path to you and gets stuck on a doorframe or whatever, they will quickly give up and the new slave will go to the cell by themselves.

 

Trainer slaves sometimes get stuck in a state between waiting and sandboxing, and they won't do the training animations. To fix, tell the trainer to wait, then "make yourself useful". After a minute or so the trainer will start messing with the slave in training with bondage and whipping. Make sure to check the MCM menu for the mod and see that the BDSM option is turned ON (it is on by default)

 

I don;t know what's up with the unresponsive slaves. I never have that issue except with 1 or 2 NPCs (always the same ones, like that lady from the Solitude counting house who attacks you as part of a quest, and she goes silent while still under PAHE). And the only thing that happens when a slave is panded from PAHE to HSH is that the factions get shuffled around a bit. The only thing I can think of is another mod that is set to interact with (ex) PAH slaves, getting confused about seeing PAH factions on a slave not controlled by it. Your load list mentions ImmerSlave with a PAH patch, are there any others that work with PAH?

yes I started using the latest repack version (Should I get the patch for 1.6 or no?)Did what you asked about the load order, but now the bug is back. with the slaves using "Throw voice".

Oh Immerslave+paradise halls is unchecked I don't use it, but does enslaving bandits cause my problem? like unnamed npcs?

I don't even know why HSH would overwrite that script. I need to clean up the package I think. In any case don't let HSH overwrite anything.

 

I'm not sure about that other package, and I wasn't able to find it. Do you have a link?

that mod really sounds amazing :)
if i get it right that Mod has only the 3 houses in riften, solitude and whiterun?
Is there maybe a chance of adding this mod into the custom houses (f.e Falkreath) or is that too difficult because of the scripts? I would love to use this mod without having to do the mainquest (and activating that annoying dragons) ;)

 

Could you please describe how you get these slaves und how to train them in submission and selling them to guards?

Is there maybe a chance of adding this mod into the custom houses (f.e Falkreath) or is that too difficult because of the scripts? I would love to use this mod without having to do the mainquest (and activating that annoying dragons) ;)

 

Could you please describe how you get these slaves und how to train them in submission and selling them to guards?

getting the slaves is still based on pah/pahe, the mod does say pah/pahe are required

who said we could sell them to guards, that'd be news to me

My only gripe is that once my slaves reach "70" in their slavery level, they talk to me with the "Throw Voice" Dialogue, everything else is fine though.

 

 

Is that happening for house slaves under Home Sweet Home only, or also for slaves managed by PAHE?

Oh and I think I might have found out what causes the unresponsive NPCs, once you reach your home (Slave chamber and everything) and the NPC will have the dialogue option "You will stay here for a while", instead of "You will take care of this place" they will become unresponsive (will not engage in dialogue) and just do the "why me" thingo, this seems to happen at random. as I can have 2 of the same npcs and one of them will have the proper dialogue, and the other wont. 

 

Example I have 2 bandit npcs both with the same class, race, and gender. 1 will have the "You will stay here for a while" and be unresponsive, while the other will have the "Take care of this place" and work properly.

 

if you're going to give me credit for that the load order still needs adjusted...

i'd suggest using skyrimlauncher (adjust the load order then use skse to launch the game)

to adjust things proper until somebody can fix loot

next are you using this with the latest pah sl extension repack and the latest home sweet home

and finally the dialog choices listed above as your issue is the untrained slave

after adjusting your load order as shown above and updating to the latest repack if you're still having trouble with untrained slaves post the log here for us to look into fixing it

 

 

 

Did what you asked about the load order, but now the bug is back. with the slaves using "Throw voice".

A untrained slave will only be escorted if the trained slave isn't confined to her cell. If they were told to wait somewhere or make themselves useful (sandbox) then they will escort new arrivals. Try parking the trained slave somewhere in with a clear path to where you are with the new arrival. If the trained slave has no clear path to you and gets stuck on a doorframe or whatever, they will quickly give up and the new slave will go to the cell by themselves.

 

Trainer slaves sometimes get stuck in a state between waiting and sandboxing, and they won't do the training animations. To fix, tell the trainer to wait, then "make yourself useful". After a minute or so the trainer will start messing with the slave in training with bondage and whipping. Make sure to check the MCM menu for the mod and see that the BDSM option is turned ON (it is on by default)

 

I don;t know what's up with the unresponsive slaves. I never have that issue except with 1 or 2 NPCs (always the same ones, like that lady from the Solitude counting house who attacks you as part of a quest, and she goes silent while still under PAHE). And the only thing that happens when a slave is panded from PAHE to HSH is that the factions get shuffled around a bit. The only thing I can think of is another mod that is set to interact with (ex) PAH slaves, getting confused about seeing PAH factions on a slave not controlled by it. Your load list mentions ImmerSlave with a PAH patch, are there any others that work with PAH?

 

Oh Immerslave+paradise halls is unchecked I don't use it, but does enslaving bandits cause my problem? like unnamed npcs?

 

if unnamed npc's were the issue you could easily fix it by turning on the auto-rename feature of pahe or rename the slaves yourself from the mcm, they'd be named, in fact that might be where the bug lies at with the load order having home sweet home after pahe home sweet home will need to take over the naming functions of pahe

 

if you can reproduce the uninteractive slave easy enough, post the log of putting the slave under hsh control thru the suspect dialog, list the city name with the post i'm going to try reproducing the bug in those towns listed I had no issues with that in whiterun

 

 

yes I started using the latest repack version (Should I get the patch for 1.6 or no?)

if you're using the pah repack, no other patches are needed

pahe repack 3 and 4 comes with a combat patch you can/should add, but that should only effect chances to fight, nothing effecting these issues, in fact the sl patch was determined to be bugged for some players and had to be adjusted, my repack handles updating that patch to fix that

 

 

 

 

 

 

 getting confused about seeing PAH factions on a slave not controlled by it.

if pah weren't controlling the slave, especially the slave bandit, the slave would become hostile

hsh maybe removing respective dialogs from pah for the player, but pah/pahe still retains control of those factions, until hsh is ready to make the same changes to the factiions pahe has gone thru to make those slaves allied to player- that makes me curious what would happen if a player tried to give hsh some vampires and/or thieves, I've seen felglow slave camp go crazy with some of those

Version 0.8 has been posted. This contains a few minor fixes, and it has 2 new quests that will gain you the keys to the Restless Hunter. And by popular demand slave training now involves the trainer having (rough) sex with the trainee.

 

There are some odd little issues with the new quests that I can't seem to fix, so please read the known issues at the top of this thread.

The slaves in training will not get sex training. Sex training is a PAHE faction and I have not (yet) added that dependency, since it looks like creating a dependency between two .esp plugins involves some craptastic workaround I need to have a look at. This also means that the slave auction quest and profits do not take sex training into account yet

How to I go about updating. I use mod organizer. Should i uninstall .7 and make a save first then install .8? or just install .8 and overwrite .7?

Quests: There are 4 quests to introduce the player to the slave trade.  The second quest ("Dispensing justice") can be ended with the slave trade continuing or being terminated.  To begin the questline, talk to the jarl of one of the crappier holds (Morthal, Dawnstar or Falkreath) after becoming a thane of that hold.

 

 

Could you elaborate on the what/where/when of the first quest?  From reading the general description of the mod, it seems that nothing really gets going until the end of the 2nd quest (can't get the house mods and the ability to detach them from PAHE slot and leave them there till then).

 

Reason for asking is that I am planning a new alternate game install on another drive with as many mods deactivated as possible until I need them to keep as clean-ish saves as I can as far into the game as I can, and it would seem that I won't need to install your mod until my character gets to one of the crappier holds (usually Falkreath on my way to taking out the Glenmoril Coven in a typical run) and that doesn't happen till I'm mid-20ish in level.

 

Anyway, your mod sounds very interesting, and am looking forward to playing it.
