This post is explaining how to use the Nexus mod "Nude Quiet" (that is a femael character replacer with the "Nude Quiet Body" (that is the one in bikini).)

And then adds some alternate DDS, in particular the Diffuse one, that makes the clothes to have pretty much the body color (not 100% but close.)

The normal map is the standard one, so the bikini will still have some bumps on it.

I imagine what would need to happen is a replacement of the main underlying body mesh while leaving everything else the same.

 

As an aside, what I'd like to see is her wearing the same gear that she wears now, in terms of gear, but losing the bikini and pantyhose.

 

Not really a matter of changing the mesh.

The bikini, the pantyhose, and the panties are part of the main body mesh.

Only the knot in the front of the bikini is a different mesh.

 

When I will understand how to deploy the updated meshes she will be naked.

But right now, not a single mesh I am replacing appears in the game.

Hey CPU, you mentioned being able to change the textures for the posters. Is there anyway to add more posters into the game with custom images in addition to the already present ones?

 

No.

Posters location is defined inside the scene. And I am not able to change the scenes.

Updating the texture of a poster is pretty easy.

But changing the placement or adding more is beyond my knowledge.

For Kojima, and the loss of impending unclad B&B Corp scenes/boss battles, this truly is to his farewell to Metal Gear.

 

Yeah. Too bad the Beauty&Beast Corps didn't make it to be completely naked in the final game as Hideo intended. I understand it would have been a problem for the rating/censoring of the game, but hey, after all there is always a workaround for us pc players thanks to truly dedicated modders :D

Konami's point was clear: if you do a mod (the call it "Hack") that will give you advantages against other online user, then you are banned.

Their position on "texture mods" is unclear, but for sure it is not the point they show every time you start the game.

I find it very convenient to be honest that they give you the opportunity to opt out of the online experience by declining their TOS every time the game starts! It's perfect for those of us who like to tinker with how a game plays. A quick bit of switching in of the backup vanilla files and accepting the TOS switches online back on- couldn't really be much easier.

Anyone know what texture.dat file quiets default outfit .ftex files are in? I only know of her motherbase outfit textures being in texture3.dat from the above mod.

 

 

No.

From the previous mods, you are NOT replacing the textures of Quiet, but replacing the textures of the player (can be Snake or a female character.)

All the mods that are available DO NOT touch quiet. Thy simply replace the model/textures of a player (or some other NPCs) with Quiet model/texture.

I already open all the 4 chunk.dat files, and the 4 texture.dat files. Converted all the DDS from the ftex files inside.

Had a look to each of them.

 

Altered any possible texture that seemed be related to Quiet.

Repacked the ftex file, repacked the dat file.

 

Tried in game.

 

Not a single texture applied to Quiet was used.

 

I am able to alter the textures for the faces of the player, and also the posters.

I am not able to alter the actual Quiet textures.

The body physics are directly linked to the skeleton of the character.

The "flesh body" was already found, at it is a normal skin.

It is used by the game quickly when Quiet jumps on the helicopter.

 

Already tried to update the textures, and it pretty works. But the mesh has to be written completely from scratch because it used a completely different UV map from the normal body texture.

Whoops! Looking at the posts on the nexus it seems konami have been moving files around, what previously went into data 01 now goes in 0.dat and suchlike. The 3dm mod now has her back in her tights and original panties too, at least for me. Guess they're not going to make this easy huh?

As @LegendGamer stated previously, Konai started to do automatic "fix" of the game data every time you start the game and you are online.

00.dat and 01.dat are "patches" released for the game versions 1.01 and 1.02

The first one has some overwriting of meshes and textures. Including Quiet and Snake.

 

Thanks Konami to make pretty impossible to do some game mods.
