I did not find the answer to the problem i'm having in the description or in some of the posts i read. during sex through SLEN you gain a level in relationship but it's not

 

I have almost all mods you mentioned except Defeat, Squirt and AFT but relationship gain working perfectly.

 

One thing I can think about is that dialog about being rough will prevent relationship gain.

Its a chance. If you focus on your partner's pleasure more than your own that has the greater chance of increases. So choosing to either give your partner oral or make love will have the highest chance (keyword there chance).

Ya it's really bizarre like i said it works sometimes but other times it doesn't do you load this at the bottom of your load order or top?

playing today for example it has worked both times i intitiated sex with someone and it leveled up so i hope it keeps working. also it seems like when i use free float camera hotkey it doesn't work 100% of the time can someone else confirm this?

i can try removing some mods one at a time if it keeps happening btu i would really like to avoid doing that since i'm in the middle of a game but i do really enjoy this mod and would like to keep it.

all in all still a great mod but wish the relationship level worked 100% for me.

also do female npc's ever walk up to you and ask for sex with this mod? i'm curious.

Not every sex act results in a relationship increase. I have had to go through a dozen or more acts to get an npc from confidant to lover status. Sometimes I get a lot of increases close together, but by that I mean 4-5 increases in 12-15 SLEN initiated acts.

 

I remember from earlier in the thread that Amorous Adventures can be odd because it uses its own relationship rank system which SLEN is "blind" to, so to speak, but I don't recall mention of any actual breakage either way, just that you had to do the two separately. I haven't used AA since I started using SLEN, so I can't say from experience.

Regarding suggestion 3 I have some ideas of adding a more immersive option in which you would pay normally for the training, and then get the opportunity to earn the money back afterwards if you successfully charm the trainer.

 

I couldn't have imagined it would get even better.

Post a papyrus log of a few charm attempts. The log gives an exact breakdown of all the chances, if something's wrong, that should show it right away. Without a log you're in a dark room looking for a black cat that probably isn't even there.

The realtionship level is not supposed to increase every time. It's a chance, based on the choice of sex and difficulty setting in the MCM menu. That means that, exactly as you observed, sometimes it increases and sometimes not. From what you are describing it sounds like there is no problem with the relationship increase, just with your expectation.

 

SLEN does not make NPCs approach you. You always have to initiate the action yourself.

 

Edit: a simple test is to set relationship increase difficulty to novice, and then charm and "make love" to an acquaintance (relationship level 0). At novice difficulty, that will work out to a 104% chance of relationship increase. Note that if you try the same with an NPC with relationship level 1 or higher, this chance will decrease, so only when making love to an NPC with level 0 at novice difficulty can you be sure that you will always get a relationship increase. Also keep in mind you need a unique NPC. Non-unique NPCs like bandits and guards are not tracked.

I've completed the two prerequisite quests, and I have over 30 SLEN relationship increases (according to the MCM), but the Dibella's Refuge quest doesn't seem to be starting. I've even had the courier just show up at Kynesgrove with the museum pamphlet, but he didn't give me any other messages.

Oh ok thank you for clearing that up I was a bit confused. So basically 'making love' is the best option to increase the relationship? It hasn't given me any problems this last couple days so I think you may be right but how would I go about looking at and posting a papyrus log?

so, it work good, no bug or anything. but weird i didnt have any 3some possibility in the dial, i have all others option category , inclued object (table,throne,etc..) , but not any 3some. i have tested with npc (from AA mods) and also normal and random npc with any level (from confident, ally, lover,etc..) and still not a single option for 3some.

i know it have 3some option, cause i have it with old skse, but it look like have dissapear with skse steam... any idea what happen ?

Hi, it seems that something isn't working correctly for me. I have installed everything that is required and everything shows up in mcm and seems to be correct. I can start a conversation and try to get sex. The charm fails, as it should because it is a low level charachter, but when I get the option to pay for sex the npc accepts the payment and I get to choose the position I want. But then nothing happens, all I get is a three dot response and the npc continues to do whatever she was doing before the conversation.

For some reason, Pleasant Surprise isn't working for me.  Chance is set to 100%, but no joy upon sleeping.  Searched the thread, didn't see anything that looked relevant.  I have no mods that affect sleeping (that I'm aware of), the only ones new to this loadout would be Devious Devices, Defeat, and Horrible Harrassment.  I've checked the NPC, set her gender preference to all three, made sure no one's blocked, etc.

 

Anyone have a clue?

that happen to me before, it appear to be an incompatibility with another mod that launch sex animation . i forget exactly wich one. but it can be mod like submit or else that directly touch the "launch" of sex (activation of animation sex)

it worked good after i deleted this mod, but i really dont remember wich one :/

It isn't a problem with Steam SKSE, mine works just fine. The only thing I can suggest is that you make sure that there is another person present that you have a relationship rank of 2 (I think it's 2, and not via Amorous Adventures), if there isn't the option won't show up.

Huh.  So I started doing test runs with various mods disabled, and apparently it's not a mod problem per se, but some of the followers I've added through mods aren't being recognized by SLEN.  Dialogues don't appear, take a long time to appear, or mysteriously vanish, and the events (or at least, the Pleasant Surprise event) doesn't trigger.  So far, I've noticed it on the Final Fantasy 4 and 6 followers, as well as Dralora.  Funny thing is, I know I've had events in the past on other MO profiles with those followers.  So I'm rather confused as to what the issue is, it persists if I uninstall and reinstall the follower mod in question.  Followers added with other mods, like Beautiful Vampires, work fine.  Anyone have a clue what's up?

actually i have 2 follower as lover level, and another one that have turn (after sex) into ally. it from this mod, cause its clearly the text in top from this mod :

So, would I be cleaning files with TES5, or doing something else?  What conflicts would I be looking for, and where would I look for them?  Sorry, but this is well beyond what limited modding experience I have.

No, no cleaning. Just load all your mods and apply filter, then I would check if there are dialogue conflicts between mods (just expand the trees on the left side to view the dialogues). Sometimes it's enough to change your load order afterwards - in this case to make SLEN overwrite other mods' options.

I think the problem might have actually been with Mod Organizer.  Deleted all my profiles, loaded some bare minimum mods to try and source the problem, and all of a sudden MO wouldn't open the game except in a tiny window, and didn't recognize my controller.  Steam opened the game fine.  So, uninstalled MO, and now get to reinstall and rebuild my mod lists. . . again. . .

problem solved on my last post. apparently it was some bad setting in MCM or something, i hev reinit and now it work good ^^

I did, yes. I am using Random Alternate Start, if that matters - it probably shouldn't since it lets you get into the vanilla story questline long before Dragon Rising.

I think the problem might have actually been with Mod Organizer.  Deleted all my profiles, loaded some bare minimum mods to try and source the problem, and all of a sudden MO wouldn't open the game except in a tiny window, and didn't recognize my controller.  Steam opened the game fine.  So, uninstalled MO, and now get to reinstall and rebuild my mod lists. . . again. . .

 

Okay, even THAT didn't fix it.  Pleasant Surprise animations still not triggering, several followers taking a long time to get SLEN dialogues to pop, etc.  Bare minimum install for testing (SKSE, SkyUI, RaceMenu, Bodyslide, CBBE, Alternate Start, SkyHair, FF7 followers, FF6 Followers, FF4 Followers, FNIS, SexLab, SOS, Aroused Redux, SLEN, RaceCompatibility, Fuz Ro Doh, Beautiful Vampires, Underground Bathhouse), so it's neither a mod conflict issue or an MO issue.  I have no idea where to go from here.

 

EDIT:  Doesn't seem to work for most vanilla NPCs, either.  Checked for conflicts with TES5Edit, didn't find any of note (just Goldenglow Estate and Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, and XCLR - Regions.)  The dialogues are all white.  Anyone able to give me some help here?
