I have a problem in the beginningish part of the questline, after getting rumors of the kidnappings and talking to falk firebeard for the first time, I'm suppose to meet a npc in solitude (a captain i think) but whenever i get near him I ctd

 

 

I want to also report a possible bug with Milk Mod Economy. I'm having the same problem with this guy where after installing this mod, using a milk pump cause my character to have constant stamina draining effect permanently and the problem with MOM suction 1.

Thank you for getting back to me, I posted in the zaz extension forum as well and it looks like all the problems were because of a bug with the zaz extension mod. For those interested, milk mod economy worked with zaz extension pack 1-03, I'm rolling back to that version in the mean time.

 

 

Edit: I have no clue what's causing this behavior, i tried rolling back zaz extension but was still experiencing it, so then I tried removing zaz extension all together which didn't work either. I then reinstalled zaz animation pack and milk mod economy and started a new game which also didn't fix it... I'm out of ideas. I recently updated a few mods but I didn't think any of the others would conflict with this one. I updated deviously cursed loot, prison overhaul patches, heretical resources, sanguine debauchery+, usleep, and things in the dark... idk maybe it's things in the dark that's doing this? I'm out of ideas... maybe it's the latest patches causing a problem or things in the dark? idk... i've been banging my head against the wall on this for way too long and I need to step away.

 

 

Edit2: Freaking A, it was things in the dark :C that teaches me to blindly update mods I don't really use. I need to re-update the mods I rolled back and start a new save to be sure but I'm pretty positive it was things in the dark. Rolled that mod back to a previous version and the bug went away.

the script I used is from Maria Eden... surely there is a problem with the event on update...

Best way will be just removing that script, and let Maria eden or milk mod economy anime the milk pumpts (so, no milk pumps animations with TID alone).

 

 

Which script are you referring to? and do I just look it up in Resaver and delete with the save cleaner tool?

You could also just find this script in the CK, and delete it or make it inactive...

Well I gave up.

 

Too many quest markers are not here. Too many broken stuff, I lost count.

 

 

Definitely "From the deeps" was you best creation so far.

 

where are the bugs exactly ?

 

Remember it's a small world : it's making mess in quest markers. For me, I use a simple solution : I memorize all the NPCs and important places.

 

Yes, FTD is the best mod I made, but it's not the most ambitious in term of programmation complexity or quests, or story. TID is far better in these aspects.

I can't really give a summary of what doesn't work. Mainly escorts. NPC never move and stay still every time so you have to completely setstage it. Also there is the quest with Thaereg that completes itself automatically so fast you can't even make it back to the npc. And obviously lots of quest markers that drive you in the wrong direction. Sometimes you have to enter a dungeon and when inside you look at the arrow and you have to leave from the same door.

 

Also there is a bit too much un needed sex to my liking. The enslavement part is basically "have sex with pretty much everything".

 

In from the deeps you had a sex intercourse as a prisonner so that they would break you before selling you. Or you would have sex in a ritual or to bribe Erikur. It kind of made sense. Here it doesn't really.

I plan to rework the slavery part (specially the repeatibility).

 

about sex in quests : people says they want sex quests, other not so much... it's complex to find a compromize.

People who can't complete a simple quest without the game literally holding their hand, telling them exactly where to go and what do are a cancer on the rpg genre and a big reason why we got Fallout 4.

I prefer Morrowind : no quest markers, informations are in text and note,s you have to traveil, explore the village, find the good NPC.

 

But TID still have some bugs yes (specially the very annoying fishery one, which is disturbing quest markers...)

First, I wouldn't ask the question like this. Your question is "From the moment the player is a slave how can I make interesting quest?"

 

Well then it becomes far easier. Imagine one of these famous movies about slaves or camps of prisonners (The Great Escape / The Bridge on the River Kwai / Spartacus ...) what do these movie show you  to keep you entertained? People doing repetitive stuff? Well yeah they do that a little bit but most of the action is centered around the fact they try to escape or rebel.

 

So here is how I would do it :

 

create a few repetable slave quest

- gathering X ore (mining)

- gathering X type of food (farming / gathering)

- smithing weapons / collecting weapons parts / carrying stuff from one place to another

... other stuff

 

next to this there would be quest about

- getting to know the other slaves

- slowly discovering that some have a plan to escape and join them

 

But they would be discovered and killed for most of them. Then the remnant would be sent to the breeding pit as a punishment (so here you have your sex part)  and after some time you would be sent back with the other slaves

 

From this point you continue repetable quests but at the same time you try to create a new plan, something tougher, to escape with you as a leader. At the end you can escape (quest end) or you can be afraid of failing again and sell the others so that you're no more a slave and you rise in ranks.

 

 

I'm stopping here. I could go on and on and on if you wanted it. But you get the idea. A slave life is uninteresting. What you do behind the back of your masters is interesting.

There are quests about smithing, collect ressources, etc....  Hashep will give you them, but they are restricted to the best slaves.

 

There is also two posisbilities to escape when player is slave by performaing a quest with Frabbi and antoehr slave, and by using the dwemer centurions in the animonculry.

 

Slave tasks repeatibilty scrpts ar enot the best, and need improvements. That's on the schedule, but I wish to progress on Novels and Mansion before.

 

Daithe role is to make slaves suffer : it's why she always give to player only creepy tasks.

 

And you played just the beginning of the mod... Try it by beginning as a falmer servant... you'll see the slavery part is a little third of the mod.

Hum, I could replace one of the sex quests by a guinez pig one :

 

For example, player become a test subject... and the researcher (Volukar) is studying the nervous system... so, he'll cut some player parts... and maybe replace it for a time with dwemer prosthetics (if amputator detected) or just remove some health.

As Delzaron said, you're misunderstanding the real scope of this mod.

Personally I like more the enslavement part of  TID, and you nail perfectly what would make for a very interesting "enslaved" mod.

But Tid is not about enslavement, really. The enslavement section is more of a prologue.

As in most Delzaron's quests, there is a big faction choice down the line. In TID, it comes quite early, and basically, if you choose to escape, shuts down most of the mods content.

TID is not an enslavement quest mod. Is more kin to the vanilla guilds quest. Only in this case you're joining the pure falmer, and help them create an underground Empire, raising their ranks from slave to lordship.

 

In any case, all your point are right. And I think mod like that would fill a gap in Loverslab. 

As far as I know there is no enslavement mod which locks you in a place you have to endure and try to evade from.

SD+ is very good about enslavement but is very generic as is designed to apply to every possible Npcs you might encounter.

Slaverun... but is more about getting skyrim enslaved than the opposite!

The closer that I can think of is perhaps Wolfclub. But the evasion part is very minimal.

Slaves of Tamriel was heading in the right direction, but is currently abandoned.

As you can see, TID is now more developped than the version you played for your video.

 

About enslavement which lock the player, and can be solved by escape... I have a good new : it's on the way !

In Novels, it's the goal of skeever in the wall ! And of Asylul, in a little way (player is not enslaved, but just locked in a building, and under domination of the staff).

But I'm meeting a technical problem : as lave of tamriel, I need to find a way to make it regular : each time of the day, a specific ques( for example, a nurse brings food at 12 H each day).

so, go to helgen cave, find the chaurus statue, and try to begin the mod as servant.

Any "task" would actually involve a bit of game design and an proper understanding of the different game mechanics so to not bore the player to death. Forget the timed tasks, they are an interesting concept but boring and buggy in practice. Not only that, but the player don't really know how much effective time there is to do the task.

 

On the other hand, you could put another kind of challenge before the player. A challenge that falls right into the strong points of skyrim: monster bashing. I already talked about the arena and how nice of an idea that can be. But you could also task the player to clean an area from different kind of monsters, but of course without giving too much equipment. Equipped with a slave collar draining magicka, some rags and a stick as weapon, the player is tasked to remove all the rabid skeevers from a small tunnel. Many other slaves were "given" this task judging by the amount of bones and rotten flesh around.

 

If successful, the player can earn a (slightly) better set of equipment to deal with other tasks of the same genre. And well, as long as the player doesn't die, why not continue to use its skills.

Hello, can someone help me please?

Start quest "the Beginning" and stuck at Derleth Farmhouse(near Markarth) : Marker show on Doran Derleth, but he dont have a proper dialog.

Objective is "Interrogate Windhelm citizens about Doran Derleth"

Any chance to fix it via console(change quest stage or something else)?

 

go back to windhelm, and talk to local dunmers.

 

 

I did it several times, spoke to everyone in Sadri's Used Wares  and New Gnisis corner club. No new dialog/quest marker.  I tried reload previous save too.

Any "task" would actually involve a bit of game design and an proper understanding of the different game mechanics so to not bore the player to death. Forget the timed tasks, they are an interesting concept but boring and buggy in practice. Not only that, but the player don't really know how much effective time there is to do the task.

 

On the other hand, you could put another kind of challenge before the player. A challenge that falls right into the strong points of skyrim: monster bashing. I already talked about the arena and how nice of an idea that can be. But you could also task the player to clean an area from different kind of monsters, but of course without giving too much equipment. That's what I wrote. Not especially wild though, they could have gone mad due to overpopulation, inbreeding or something nefarious like that. You're the writer, you know best.

 

Of course, the player could also be sent to clear a slave rebellion. And it isn't necessary always a fighting task either. As I said, game design.

there is a problem : falmers don't trust their slaves... the best ones are turned into servants, the worse ones become food. The other are used for falmer's needs and dirty work, and worse (cleaning the sewers, being test subjects, milk cows...)
