lightsword96 Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Guys first time mod user here, I just started a week ago so bear with me as I found something to share about my journey to fix a CTD. Before, i was using this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725?tab=description to solve a lot of CTDs that I was having. However at one point, i got this CTD with the crash log saying exception address( crashing after completing Chloe's Quest at Dollmaker's house). So, I found this Quote EXCEPTION_RECORD: (.exr -1) ExceptionAddress: 773566ff (ntdll!RtlpFreeHeapInternal+0x000000d7) ExceptionCode: c0000005 (Access violation) ExceptionFlags: 00000000 NumberParameters: 2 Parameter[0]: 00000000 Parameter[1]: 8c0387ff Attempt to read from address 8c0387ff PROCESS_NAME: TESV.exe READ_ADDRESS: 8c0387ff ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %s. EXCEPTION_CODE_STR: c0000005 EXCEPTION_PARAMETER1: 00000000 EXCEPTION_PARAMETER2: 8c0387ff ADDITIONAL_DEBUG_TEXT: Enable Pageheap/AutoVerifer ; Followup set based on attribute [Is_ChosenCrashFollowupThread] from Frame:[0] on thread:[PSEUDO_THREAD] FAULTING_THREAD: 000022f4 STACK_TEXT: 00000000 00000000 heap_corruption!TESV.exe+0x0 SYMBOL_NAME: heap_corruption!TESV.exe MODULE_NAME: heap_corruption IMAGE_NAME: heap_corruption I just use https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725?tab=description to do this AlignHeapAllocate=1 in CrashFixPlugin.ini. And my game stop CTD near the dollmaker's house. TLDR; you can just get this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72725?tab=description and follow the instruction carefully instead of spending few hours turning on and off mods in Vortex that might break the game. Silly me.
HaiImZero Posted June 3, 2020 Posted June 3, 2020 I know this is an old thread but SKSE won't generate a crash dump file I keep crashing every time an animal approaches my character. I'm using hentaicreatures, horny creatures of skyrim, untamed, more nasty critters, animal sos, sos, XP32, creature framework, SSE redux aroused, sexlab framework

Also from your dump, I saw a bunch of SKSE plugins being loaded into the TESV.exe process, some of which are redundant (ex: showracemenu precache killer while also running RaceMenu). Bad SKSE plugins can leak memory or allocate huge blocks, causing an exhaustion of available 32-bits virtual memory space within the TESV.exe process. It's also important to mention that clr.dll (the common language runtime library for the .NET framework) is not loaded by Skyrim itself, even in my heavily modded game it's never loaded into my process. I also see that you are running ENB, do you've Memory:ReduceSystemMemoryUsage enabled within your enblocal.ini?

RavenMind Posted October 10, 2020 Posted October 10, 2020 Hey guys, gals, & otherwise. Think this is my first post here! So I was going through the OP instructions on debugging, and I can't make heads or tails of it. I was hoping someone here had some idea of where to go from here. My Skyrim SE install has been pretty solid. I get the very occasional CTD, but it appears to be ramping up in frequency. OFC this leads me to think save game corruption, but I've been keeping my saves clean with Fallrim Tools, and avoiding uninstalling new mods on this playthrough. The crashes are in random locations, interior/exterior, and don't appear to be linked to any particular behavior. Happy to provide a list of mods & load order if that would be helpful. Here's my crash dump if anyone could possibly help. Thanks so much!! Spoiler Microsoft (R) Windows Debugger Version 6.12.0002.633 X86 Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Thanks so much! Install this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21294 Next time you crash, look for crash logs here (in your game's data folder): NetScriptFramework\Crash Much easier to debug with this info. Many CTD's are due to bad meshes, usually head or hair.

bernt92 Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Hi! I recently reinstalled MO1 on my computer and when I try to load a save, from my old saves which I had on a different location and pasted them in the mod organizer installation foler, it quits immidiately to desktop. In Crashfixes log it says: 11 Oct 13:26:58 Game has crashed with exception address 0xBE6CB7! I don't know what this means and how to fix it. I have set UseOsallocators=1 and Alignheapallocate=1 in crashfixes.ini and I have the correct SKSE settings as well in SKSE.ini Anyone know what this is? I get the same message with the same numbers everytime it crashes. But I don't know what it means. 1

I think I actually discovered & fixed the issue causing the crashes through some old fashioned detective work, but that's a really neat tool. So, thank you! ❤️ 1
Dimom Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 Greetings! Can you tell me what to do with it or the direction - where to look? manakanaki Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 hi, i encountered an infinite load screen when i loaded up my save game. i terminated the game via task manager which hanged up for a few seconds before closing the game, which hasn't really happened before - normally task manager kills the game immediately, but i didn't think much of it then. i also found it odd that i got an infinite load screen because the last time i had that was a few months ago before i installed the SKSE.ini that was supposed to fix a few issues including that, and i also just recently installed Crash Fixes and ENBoost which made my game very stable. when i ran the game again and tried to load up the same save, i get a CTD immediately - load screen flashes for a second, then crash, different from the crashes i get from corrupted saves, missing masters, missing mods, etc. which all take way longer than that before crashing. after that, i can't load up any of my saves. i tried the save i made at the very beginning in the alternate start dungeon, tried one inside breezehome, tried latest save, tried the save before that. i tried starting a new game and then loading a save. every time i get a CTD. i've confirmed that it's not save corruption. the only time loading a game worked was when loading a vanilla save and with a vanilla skyrim (vanilla except for skse loader) searching the exception address on this brought up one hit from a post made back in 2018. i didn't see anyone respond to the post. i'm hoping someone could tell me what's wrong, or at least point me in the right direction in trying to comprehend the dump file and debug the game itself. below is the exception alanysis from the latest crash dump: Spoiler ******************************************************************************* * * * Exception Analysis * * * ******************************************************************************* *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for hdtHighHeelNative.dll *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for hdtPhysicsExtensions.dll *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for JContainers.dll *** WARNING: Unable to verify checksum for d3d9.dll KEY_VALUES_STRING: 1 Key : AV.Fault Value: Read Key : Analysis.CPU.mSec Value: 2874 Key : Analysis.DebugAnalysisProvider.CPP Value: Create: 8007007e on SE7EN Key : Analysis.DebugData Value: CreateObject Key : Analysis.DebugModel Value: CreateObject Key : Analysis.Elapsed.mSec Value: 24479 Key : Analysis.Memory.CommitPeak.Mb Value: 145 Key : Analysis.System Value: CreateObject Key : Timeline.Process.Start.DeltaSec Value: 68 Key : WER.OS.Branch Value: 19h1_release Key : WER.OS.Timestamp Value: 2019-03-18T12:02:00Z Key : WER.OS.Version Value: 10.0.18362.1 Key : WER.Process.Version Value: 1.9.32.0 ADDITIONAL_XML: 1 OS_BUILD_LAYERS: 1 CONTEXT: (.ecxr) eax=00000001 ebx=8b578134 ecx=8b578134 edx=8b55fff5 esi=8b578134 edi=8b57814c eip=00c30740 esp=0019f59c ebp=767bc300 iopl=0 nv up ei pl nz ac pe nc cs=0023 ss=002b ds=002b es=002b fs=0053 gs=002b efl=00010216 TESV+0x830740: 00c30740 8b37 mov esi, dword ptr [edi] ds:002b:8b57814c=???????? Grey Cloud Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Then double-check your settings in SKSE.ini, ENBoost and Crash Fixes. Load Game CTD Fix should not cause problems so check that also. You could also try running: Bethini (This will set your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69787
Grey Cloud Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 Hmm. Edit button is missing. If all else fails try following this guide: https://www.loverslab.com/blogs/entry/7521-conglomerate-01-installing-skyrim-stability-fixes-tools/

If all else fails try following this guide: https://www.loverslab.com/blogs/entry/7521-conglomerate-01-installing-skyrim-stability-fixes-tools/ thanks m8. i'm halfway into trying that method. i've installed crash fixes, skse.ini, load game ctd fix, still no luck. starting to suspect something other than skyrim and mods now cus my system is running weird. thanks for the help. if you are familiar with this and if you have the time, would you mind pointing me in the general direction of dump file analysis and using debuggers? you don't have to start from the basics, just point me in the direction of useful resources. seeing as how i couldn't find a similar dump file to mine, i wanna investigate further and come up with a solution for other people to refer to
Grey Cloud Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 7 hours ago, manakanaki said: dump file analysis and using debuggers? IMHO they are a waste of time. 99% of in-game CTDs (at random times and places) are memory management related. The fact that the finger is pointing at a particular mod means nothing. The mod may just be the 'straw that broke the camel's back'. This is why I suggested double-checking ENBoost etc. https://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost Scan the 50 pages of this thread and see how many problems were solved by debug info.
ASDFGHB Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 I am having a problem, debugging tools says it couldnt find the symbols and this is what I get (crash dump.txt). I suppose it is badly analysed so I attach the original dump. Can anyone help me with diagnosis? 2021-07-25_19.14.22.dmp crash dump.txt
