What would you like to see in TES VI?

Most important for me is the story, which should be vastly improved. Bethesda should make it more interesting and mysterious, fun to play through. I finished skyrim's main plot only once and just to get rid of it. Bethesda should take an example from Witcher series.

Secondly there should be some meaning to Your choices and the the world should interact with the player. For example in skyrim after saving the world and killing the almighty world eater no one gives a shit, except for that one poor guard. More consequences.

And third and last there should be more interesting companions with deeper relationship system. Like friendship, rivalry, brotherhood, lovers etc. Basically heroes that would make an impact on us. Not just a pack mule npc with 3 lines of dialogue. Couple followers bioware style would do really good to another tes.

Most importantly for me - the quests. Holy shit I think 90% of the quests I played were "go clean the dungeon X". Seriously the game should be renamed to The Dungeon Dungeons: Dungeon. I am fairly sure I killed more undead sobs in Skyrim than I did in every other game combined and I play games since 1994.

Other than that, I wouldn't mind a coop mode with actual interaction for the 2nd player. Not just drop in, drop out, but the cut scenes and the npcs to react to the second player as well.

to be able to travel all of tamriel and better quest like the quest from oblivion Corruption and Conscience. still my favorite quest in all TES.

also guards who rotate shifts and don't just stand at the front gates of a city 24/7

Rival heroes/villains doing quests and exploring. Its boring to be the only badass in town.

Thats a fucking awesome idea, how anyone thoght about it before? It isnt even hard to code, bethesda really should do this.

-Dark soul style for combat.

-4k for all textures.

-A graphic engine fully optimised (like GTA5)

-Full havok physics for hairs, clothes and animals furs (Nvidia hairs Havoks)

-More immersions with followers (and without godmod style for followers)

-More epics fight with boss (like Dark soul style again)

-A incredible bigger map

-A build fighting system advanced (spear equipment by exemple)

-Tower shields with specific build

-Maybe a cooperation online system (like 2/3 players for helping)

-War fighting (200vs 200 by exemple)

-PVP?

-Beautiful women (like Black desert online or something else)

-More monsters team fightingt, like meet 20/30 skeletons in same time by exemple.

-Harcore challenge for end game.

-A date?

-...

I know i can dream again a long time.

As a modder, what would you most like to see in The Elder Scrolls VI? if they ever do make another TES game, maybe not for another 5+ years.. We'll probably see Fallout 4 before another TES game.

Is it more detailed character meshes with much more polygons? Better physics? Sharper textures? Easier modability?

Most likely TES VI will not use Skyrim's creation engine, but a new and MUCH more advanced engine built from scratch that will only work hardware-wise on PS4, XBOX One, and the PC.

You realize what a loaded question that is to ask on a board full of pervs, right?  ROFL.

Seriously though, I'd expect anouther jump in graphis like the last two games have had. and they REALLY should incorporate HDT physics (or similar) into it.  hell the modding community did all the development work there for them. :)    It's not even so much about jiggly boobs (but who doesn't love those? lol).  The mods that add HDT to clothes, equipment and hair make the game look worlds better.  May need a PC upgrade to run a game that has everything HDT capable but it'd be worth it.  :D

Better combat and skill leveling systerm so I can't smash a dragon to death in the first day of starting the game with a steel sword. Sheesh

The ability to shoot a guard in the knee as a form of punishment .... or force him to gorge on sweetrolls.

Better, more immersive and diversive adoption and marriage system

Better followers in general.

More Sheogorath and Dark Drotherhood.  I demand it.

More diverse character creation options. Perhaps a voiced character, with multiple options of course.

Get ApolloDown (Epic Gameplay Overhaul) and Kris Takahashi (Interesting NPC's) jobs at Bathsheda. In general. Let them make the NPC's characters and the large quests.

INIGO should be given a pernament spot in the game.

Actually how about just hiring major mod makers. Give them nice paychecks.

Personally I hope for the game to take place in Elsweyr, Valenwood, or Blackmarsh.

In regards to the dragon killing...  That first one is supposed to be pretty easy.  I always had bad luck at low levels getting the bite maul and toss in the ar routine though, so I resorted to giving teh dragons an arrow in the knee.

Which leads me to the main reason for my quoted reply. :D   Skyrim already has the perfect mods to deal with your guard frustrations:

Divine Punishment for Mention of Arrows in the Knee

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15428/?

Daedric Punishment for Insults Related to Sweetrolls

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/28001/?

I sooooooo wish I had thought of these myself, lol.   I actually had to uninstall them because the towns were running out of guards.  :D

And just for fun:

I used to be an adventurer terrorizing draugr like you, but then...

Honestly?  Pull some stuff from Morrowind.  Open cities as default and modular armor pieces (left gauntlet, right gauntlet, pauldrons both l/r, etc) would be at the top of my list, as well as the whole "Here's an awesome piece of loot that you'll overlook 99/100 that's just sitting there" type deal, along with the Levitation spell and dungeons that all but require it for full exploration.

I'd also love a dungeon kinda like Blackreach and the Falmer tunnels you have to go through to get to the Vale in Dawnguard.  Imagine going into a cave and just...continue heading down.  And down.  And down.  Miles underground, maybe stumbling upon the ruins of ancient civilizations or outposts or settlements of hostile native creatures, but where the main threat is the environment itself.  Unstable caves, narrow foot-paths skirting dark abysses, lava-flows, etc.

Also, more horse combat and better mounted archery.  I mean it's fine as is, but I'd like to see how they could improve upon it.

And dismemberment type combat.  If I have maxed out Two Handed weapons and a tempered up Daedric Great Axe, I EXPECT to be able to cleave through my enemies and leave them half the man they once were.

More interesting quests and more dialogues. Everything can be done by modders but the sole thing we are not really able to achieve is professionnal voice acting.

Let's see...

* Fewer NPCs with that annoying combination of being massively rude AND being set essential (a la Maven Black-Briar). Anyone who's THAT rude to the player character should be killable.

* Marriable NPCs of all races and genders. My Khajit doesn't WANT to marry a human or elf, damnit.

* More than just one kind of Khajit. There's supposed to be a whole bunch of different varieties depending on when they're born, let's actually see some this time.

* A setting without any snow. So tired of snow. Gimme Valenwood, or Elsweyr, or Hammerfell... someplace WARM.

* Elven females that actually look female, not like bad drag queens.

* New weapon types. Spears, whips, assorted polearms.

* Destructible terrain (oh who am I kidding)

* Some sense of self-preservation in the AI. All those wolves that keep attacking me even though I can oneshot them on Legendary... what are they, rabid? Enemies in general should be able to realize when leaving you the hell alone is in their best interest if they want to live...

* Smarter followers that actually try to avoid pressure plates, obey instructions to run/hide when you want to rather than always staying to fight, etc.

* More interesting magic system. Spamming the same couple of spells over and over is just not fun, especially on higher difficulties when you can mostly only affect how much your spells cost, not how much damage they do. Spam spam spam spam...

* Puzzles that actually require some thinking to solve and don't literally have the solution carved into the damn wall for all to see.

* Hardcore survival mode. Should definitely be optional, though.

* Less annoying poison system. Having to manually poison your weapon every couple of strikes might be realistic, but it just isn't FUN. At least let us turn off the 'are you sure you want to poison insert weapon here' popup or something...

To many things to mention and gripe about, and most of you have already mentioned the good stuff, so i'm just going to go with a single gripe i've not seen mentioned:

Please make a proper body and char editor.

They have always sucked, and we have always had to replace them because they suck, leading to the age old problem: 138 different bodies all competing to become popular, and mod support beeing scattered amongst different and competing standards, so you're screwed nomatter which you choose.

Just get it right from the start Bethesda, please, make a human body that looks like a human beeing for a change, and a chareditor where you can morph it. Games have been offering this for years and years now, even ESO did it. Hire some new talent who can actually make it happen if that's what it takes, but please do make it happen.

Sure, we'd still have to make a nude-patch for whatever they come up with, but if we could just have a good body from the start that people can tweak, we might finally have a Bethesda RPG where everyone's on the same page, and working on the same standard.

Actually, I *can* think of something else I'd like to see in TES6...  I've told people about it when I used to play DC Universe Online too.  A Faction tracking system like Daggerfall had.

Daggerfall is hopelessly primitive compared to all the games that came after it, but the faction system was realistic, and there were a lot more factions.  You could ally yourself with any of the city-states of Daggerfall but the more you rose in status with one, the more it affected your status with it's rivals.  They even had the same thing for the various temples of the nine (prolly a bit overkill).  You could even covertly ally yourself with witches covens to help summon specific daedra lords to get their artifact quests.

That was interesting too, because Daedra all had specific days and times that they could be summoned.

It all did a pretty good job of playing up the political and other rivalries in Daggerfall.  More realistic than you can be the head of multiple factions all opposed to each other.

A lot of things, but three are big time:

1. I would want TES VI. Really. I've seen just too much good ideas and amazing game series being murdered or going FUBAR because of mobas, MMO, consolization and making every damn thing dumbed down to yet another "action game". Because braindeads apparently can't play anything else and even n-th clone of the same shooter shit would sell better than vast game. So i really would want to see true next game of pure Elder Scrolls.

2. Easier and more extensive modding possibilities. Because this is why TES is better than all other crpg's and this is what makes me still play even damn Morrowind after all this time, while i already forgotten crpgs that were released half year ago. Besides, just look what happened to Total War series. Rome 1 and Medieval 2 are also still alive because of the mods, and all unmodable crap is forgotten as soon as they pump yet another game.

3. One thing that was never in TES - more, MUCH MUCH more player interaction with changing game world. In all TES games it is almost nonexistent. Defeated Mehrunes Dagon? Here's your armor and be on your way. Waging and won huge civil war? Wow, there is other guy sitting on the chair and giving you quest to kill the bandit leader. Saved the friggin' world by killing World-Eater (more like One-Not-So-Big-Town-Eater, but whatever)? They still won't allow even a little lollygaggin...

My main gripe covers all TES games and both Fallouts - "Followers".

I don't like followers. They can't stealth, they get in my way and the constant repeating of the same dialog over and over annoys the hell out of me. I loved the Dawnguard storyline but the enjoyment was sucked out of it by Serana (pun intended). I would prefer a system like with Moss Mother Cave or Heart of Dibella where you can tell the NPC to stay put and you'll do it without them.

Something else I want.

A fast start option that unlocks once you've gone through the opening tutorial part at least once.

Real-time cannibalism, and pc/npc dismemberment. I had an image in my head where your'e a thief being rushed through a city and there's a public display where a thief has his hand chopped off and fed to dogs. i don't know how plausible that would be, but it sounds cool to me.

Perhaps having followers make comments while your talking to an npc and the npc reacts to what they said in a conversation would make followers a bit more alive and might make me consider taking one and perhaps putting athletics and acrobatics back in. Sure it was silly jumping constantly to raise acrobatics, but once you capped it made for some fun ways to explore.

Yeah that's badly needed.

Simple:

A) Better storyline:  Any story that involves making choices or joining factions I don't much care for that don't really make a difference, as in the end the ruling overlords are pulling the strings make for too much Realism in my Fantasy.  If I wanted more of this, I would go to work: at least they actually pay me for it.   Oh, and get rid of this: "You are the chosen one!" mentality.  In RL, chosen ones are referred to as Oligarchs, not Dragonborns (thus i cannot relate).

B) Less: I am the Grandmaster Jack of all trades (so I must be the chosen one)!  Although there are many open choices when designing a character these choices should impose limits as well.  The Idea you can be Great at everything breaks everything.  Furthermore: Being a guildmaster should require more than finishing a few quests and that's it, you've got the title for life, let alone ruling several guilds.

C) Better stability  out of the box.  Better ease of Modability.  Make a system where the parts can relate to themselves but are compartmentalized enough that modding A does not break B so often.  Make it so that a stable modded TES game is less reliant on TESEdit or Bash patches.

D)  Per Shadowhak827

Yes:  I'm all for realistic political factions like in Daggerfall.  It was an interesting challenge. The balancing act adds replay value.  Daggerfall was also a great example of the guildsystems:  you could be a guildmaster of different guilds in several cities, but you were required to return to your guilds and perform missions every so often, or you would lose ranks.

I was going to chime in with a wishlist as long as my arm.  As good as TES games are, they're like swiss cheese. I mean, where do you stop?

But if I were forced to choose one thing above all those many others it would be the death of the zone-in load screen. They're not long for me these days but I despise them with a passion. And every TES game has been plagued with the fuckers.

I'd be willing to sacrifice a chunk of next gen graphic fidelity if it meant I didn't have to sit through 3 "did you know?" screens just to talk to a guy in a room across the hall .
