Old Book Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 so decided to go back and play a vampire on the next new game, as I haven't played one in quite awhile.  Was interested in using http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38829/? http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2308-sexual-vampire-feeding/ http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24222/?  as a starting point. Didn't really care for better vampires as I used that last time and grew bored with it fairly quickly. Will probably play more on the Dawnguard side of things this time and probably ignore civil war and main quest line as usual.  any other suggestions to help make this the most enjoyable? thanks for help.  another question, is disabling mods enough in mo to keep them from interfering with a game in which you don't plan on using them in?  for example I do not plan on using animal mansion or sex slaves this time, should I remove them completely? or make another profile that does not have them included? I'd suggest Serana Dialog Edit used together with Amorous Adventures. Between the two of them, Serana becomes as good a companion as is possible in Skyrim, almost as interactive as Vilja with far more sex appeal. There are any number of great visual overhauls for her.  mThralling is the start of an excellent Vampirism quest mod, but will probably never be given a proper ending. It's worth playing once.  The Vampire Slaver's Den is a great looking home, but again the quests were never finished. Free loot and gorgeous, but not satisfying if you want to role play.Â
Sacremas Posted September 15, 2015 Author Posted September 15, 2015 Copy your old profile, disable those files. If you just uncheck their ESPs and ESMs then you still have the textures, meshes and scripts getting loaded. Â Vampire stuff, kinda depends on your race and sex. If you're female I like these; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41634/? (highly optional, something like Fair Skin Complexion is enough, but this works nicely; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31136/?http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/42049/?) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21689/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29085/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23775/? (Or use this if you don't like the monster thing, personally I dig it, but I'm a big fan of Coppola's Dracula movie where Vlad is sexy as hell in vampire form once he goes young, but grisly monster once exposed http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25321/?) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49654/?and http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63373/? Vampire home, though as always I like the UB; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52057/? Vampire armor, male and female mesh; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25852/? Female only vampire armor, using this now; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61546/? A lot of folks like this but I really, really didn't, it'll dominate your game and you'll see jarls pretending to be vampires and bite people because of this "silly game", it's got no bounds at all and you'll see it all the freaking time; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40369/?
Mart0206 Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 I want to mentioned that mod here, i couldn´t test it by myself, but i always wanted!  http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41447/?

I liked the idea of mThralling, and the two guys making it did eventually turn down the frequency of the "game" somewhat. You're right, though. As is, it's only playable for a short run before your game becomes completely vampire oriented and goofy. The biggest problem was that the modders had no real end for the mod in mind. You couldn't defeat the vampire's plot, and you couldn't join them as anything but a cow, thrall, or minor errand runner. I played with it for a while hoping that they'd eventually finish the quest lines. I want to mentioned that mod here, i couldn´t test it by myself, but i always wanted!  http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/41447/? This one was ok, good in many ways, but the Vampire Clan shows up without much real explanation if you're on the Dawnguard side of the adventure, and I remember feeling like it really wasn't my castle once they were running around. Could be different if you finish Dawnguard on the Vampire side.
Skippe Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 i like the way vampire rogue armor looks and would really love to make it my female follower too bad it uses 7b body i use cbbe , player home looked also interesting  i am currently doing run with radiant prostitution ,spouses enchanced and sexlife with amorous adventures where my dragonborn pc has also duty to help every woman in skyrim to relax hehe it dont matter if they are married, aedra , daedra or undead my poor poor pc is free prey for all XD  old tradition in skyrim you know hehe .  i havent used submit or defeat after i upgraded to 1.6 version of sexlab hmm does someone have recommendations of mods what i could still add ?Â
Kuunkulta Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I ran into a really weird problem and I've spent hours trying to fix this but I just can't, I've tried everything I could think of. So I tried this mod briefly thanks to a damn performance guide and somehow it broke my USKP. I uninstalled that crap, I replaced all Skyrim .bsa and .esm with clean ones, I replaced all USKP files with new ones and I've gone through my .inis trying to find something but I just can't figure this out. I'm trying to load just Skyrim, update and USKP and it's a ctd. And there's nothing in my Papyrus logs! Anyone have any ideas about this??
Sacremas Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 Okay that mod changes the SKyrimtextures.bsa file, and it's a good chance that when you uninstalled it you were left without a textures.bsa. So redownload the whole game. And switch to Mod Organizer, now would be a perfect time for it, you'll never run into a similar issue. Â However there is no way that even deleting textures.bsa and every texture in the game would lead to crashes, you need to delete meshes for that! So I have no idea why you are crashing, you had to have done something extra you're not telling about. Are you crashing without USKP? Â Also when are you crashing? Right after Bethesda logo (if you haven't disabled it), right after ENB loads (if you have one), right as menu appers, right as you try to load a game? I'm going to need a lot more info to help you fix this. Â But for now, do this. Your Skyrim is borked so delete it, delete local files from Steam, then delete the skyrim folder from Steamapps/Common. Now redownload it, download Mod Organizer latest version, and start from the beginning of this guide. Start up an unmodded (not even USKP, ENB or SKSE) game from Steam, start new game, wait until it's auto-saved once you get off the cart in Helgen, exit. Now you know the game itself works. Now I want you to go to first page of this guide and do everythign, inclduing changing your skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini files for the Ewi ones to be sure you'll get something that works, set up SKSE, the SKSE.ini all that, go in game, load your helgen save as you got off the wagon, if you can load without CTD we're still in buisness. Quit and start installing USKP and all that (Mod Organizer), SkyUI, an ENB and so on, stuff you're going to use for every profile. Copy your profile into a new one (I suggest naming it the name of your character), name the old one "Basic Profile" and go back and copy that if you start a new one. Add all the other mods you want, turn on Automatic Archive Invalidation, and test occasionally that you can load that Helgen save. Once you got all the mods together turn on Local Savegames as well, and make your character, or transfer your old character from your My Documents/Games/Skyrim folder (that didn't get deleted when you deleted Skyrim.
Mart0206 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Hello Sacremas,  i finished to install some of the mentioned cosmetic overhauls. Tried the all in one JK Package and everything runs damn smooth. It nearly felt like a whole different game, Textures looks so "new", ENB so clear, nights are so dark (finally torches, magic light and lanterns make sense)  ...and then the NMM got a new update, a major one, which hadt to deinstall every mod i use for update. Thanks, NMM, you are a fucking asshole.....  And so we start again, from the beginning.  Atm i have about 30-40 % of my mods installed again. I hope, if the rest is installed too, the game will work. Yes, i could change to MO, but hell, i am to old for this shit.

Oh I hate MO, just something about it really gets to me so I keep manual backups. I was just doing a fresh installation and didn't have it backed up yet before installing that mod so here we are. Been installing and configuring mods for two days so I rather try to save that work if possible before reverting to my second, clean (working) Skyrim installation.  Crashing happens after ENB and Steam overlay kick in just when the menu buttons should pop up. And the game only crashes with USKP. I already reinstalled all USKP files too but that didn't help any. I tried deleting all files in \\my documents\my games\skyrim but that didn't work either (so restored it from backup), neither did reinstalling SKSE or ENB but I didn't really expect them to anyhow.. My game was originally running fine but I thought I might as well try that mod for bit more performance so I installed the plugin-less version and ran TexturesInstall.vbs as per instructions. And that started my problem, I ran TexturesUninstall.vbs in hopes that would fix the problem but no. I have now replaced all the files edited by that mod with clean copies but it must have edited something else somewhere Â
Sacremas Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 You should change to MO, it's a good time for it, and you'll never have to deal with that shit again. NMM is such a POS that you're better off manually installing things. Either change to NMM, or use Wrye Bash's BAIN Wizard.

Okay what you got here is a corruption from an outdated version of a edit program like xEdit/TES5Edit. Either you or the author of that mod has used an old version of that or a very similar program that conflicted wiht newer SKSE/USKP etc, when you ran the uninstall it left legacy shit in your folders that it didn't get rid of, and these are still in conflict. Either you need to figure out what either the uninstall program failed to remove, or the uninstall program left behind of itself, this could have been that it edited a file that was already there back and forth, the change may be gone but the act of editing left that file unusable and have to be replaced. And odds are you are not going to be able to do that, so yes that install is borked I'm afraid. NEVER use such idiotic install/uninstall programs, always be aware of exactly what's going on, and the #1 mod or program you always keep updated is xEdit, both for Skyrim and any other game, because an old version of that will BREAK your game instantly and faster than anything else. Â However you should do what I said last post, you'll be way better off in the long term. If you do so, it'll be the last time you reinstall skyrim unless either you fuck up and do something you really shouldn't have, or you actually delete Skyrim to save some space for Fallout 4 or whatever and install it later. With MO there's no need to reinstall or the like because it never modifies your Skyrim install.

I managed to track down the leftovers and now my game works just fine again  But thanks, since you pointed out the program being outdated, I took a second look at the .vbs code and found the problem.
Sacremas Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 That's great! Glad that worked out for you. I have no idea how to look into vbs files or the like, hence why I don't use stuff like that.
Sacremas Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 For players of Wyrmstooth, here's a new patch/enhancement mod for that that fixes a few bugs and inconsistencies as well as adding some more content; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69501/?
Old Book Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 The Hateful Wenches alpha is up on the Immersive Wenches page. We're getting Drauger Wenches, with the promise of more monster girls to come. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51189/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D51189&pUp=1
Old Book Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I should share a useful tip when using Standalone Follower Neisa, and other followers with custom HDT skeletons:http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68918/?If using a follower with a custom HDT skeleton, including just transferring the follower's appearance, you may get a serious frame rate drop if you have a different skeleton installed. To fix this, I've been doing the following:1) Look in the follower's meshes folder (easy to find if you're using MO)2) Find her skeleton.nif. In Neisa's case, SkeletonAA.nif3) Delete it.4) Paste the skeleton.nif you're using.5) Re-name that nif, if necessary, to match the name of the follower's custom skeleton. So, if the follower's custom skeleton were named "SkeletonAA.nif", that's the name you'd use. That's it. No more frame rate loss. On the down side, you may lose some custom aspects of the character's body shape.
Sacremas Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 This goes mainly if you are using XPMSE, if you are using something like Skulltyrant or old XPMS that's not an issue. Proper Weapon Scale and other thigns in XPMSE forces you to put that skeleton in everything that uses it, we're talking RS Children, followers, NInghiem, etc, everyone has to use it if you're using it.
Sacremas Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 I love Combat Evolved, it's one of the best-made mods I know, so lightweigth and script-free, but I just realized it breaks both Vampire Lord and Werewolf combat. Neither of these can block, and their animations are very slow, and Combat Eolved relies heavily on blocking and avoiding damage, and it delivers a maybe half a second's worth of stagger to every attack (more for arrows), and this interrupts VL and WW's attack animations and means they can't attack at all, and will be sitting ducks to a pack of skeevers. Werewolves are less affected by this due to their insanely overpowered stagger abilities where you can just lunge into an enemy, ragdoll them then rip them to shreds before they can stand up, but Vampire Lords are forced to keep extreme disance and use ranged comabt and dodge all arrows or distract via gargoyle summons and undead raising. Get 3-4 or more opponents in close quarters (IE most dungeon interiors) and Werewolves are likewise screwed. Keep this in mind and don't use fixes that reduce Werewolves stagger abilities if you use Combat Evolved. Â Speaking of Werewolves, I installed the latest version of SkyTweak and it now includes sliders for increasing the strength of your werewolf, if you want to be able to take and deal ten times as much damage in werewolf form, without a perk mod or even Dawnguard addon. I've put in a request for similar sliders for Vampire Lord.
Sacremas Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 New New Lands mod, heavily inspired by Dark Souls; Â Â I have to say this kinda doesn't fit into Skyrim. Why? It's too detailed! There's too much stuff there, Skyrim is supposed to be barren and with as little stuff in the area as possible, this looks like something from Dishonored or the like. /worstargumentever. Â http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/67559/?
Old Book Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 I pretty much never play as a werewolf or vampire lord, mostly because by the time I can become one my weapons, armor, or spells make me much tougher in "normal" form. That said, if Grimmybunyip does add Vampire Lord sliders, I might just risk it again.
Sacremas Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 Try any of these mods; Vampiric Thirst, with Dark Maneuvers; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24222/?http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49654/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63373/? Werewolves; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22611/?(kinda OP actually, use it if you use very powerful enemies, Bloodmoon Werewolves rip apart Deadly Dragons without any issue if they can catch them on the ground), http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22134/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34770/? (most compatible and probably most balanced option, use it with Moonlight Tales Werewolf Essentials, also has MCM where you can add perks if you need to catch up to your powerful enemies) Â All of these also buff your non-monster form, you'll get better unarmed attacks, faster heal rate, more health, new abilities like jumping, new spells, etc. Get your health up to 500+ as a warrior with Bloodmoon Rising and get a few perks, you'll soon no longer really need healing spells, just back off a bit and heal up, falling from Valtheim took off 9/10 of my health once and after maybe 10 seconds I'd healed entirely up with my Orc.

Actually I was wrong here, it's not XMPSE, it's HDT PE that does it. If you use HDT you need to replace the skeletons of everyone with HDT compatible skeletons, especially the RS Children. Groovatama just schooled me on it.
Sacremas Posted September 21, 2015 Author Posted September 21, 2015 Have anyone been able to make Summerset Isle work properly? And if so can you share some hints towards load order and such? I tried putting it into mine but it slowed the entire game down, time from when the smoke appers on main menu until the menu appears was lengthened from half a second to 10+ seconds, and loading, leveling up and everything was likewise borked. I'm leaving it out for now.
Old Book Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 Same problem. Looks great, but I can't take the slow down, and the forum threads have not been helpful.
