So i tried playing the waiting game. I move back into breezehome, sleeping 3x24 hours, then save. Reload the save, enter whiterun, doing little smitty stuff, fast travel to Riverwood, doing some quest stuff, fast travel to the stables of whiterun, saved the game. Now about 4 days have past.

why 3 days?

world reset is 30 days if you don't change it

that's how you fix this kind of ctd

-load the game with just skyrim esm, if you no longer ctd, add some mods until you ctd again

once you ctd again, you look for the conflict in tesedit, of course, you made a screen of something in that location to find it in the esp

-if you still ctd, you need mo to fix it

by putting skyrim bsa at the end of the file order, and if that no longer ctd, you remove some bsa until it ctd again, then you unpack it and remove some folders

-if you still ctd with just skyrim esm and bsa, problem is in your save, and you are in deep shit (can't load the save in tesedit to look for conflicts)

Yeah thanks, but no, thanks.

I was sure i read about this CTD Issue near Widhelm somewhere and i found it. And i found a solution thanks to the people posting in the thread of the mod.

First, it is caused by Tamriel Reloaded HD, better by the ELFX Patch for ELFX users (like me)

Look here:

TR_HD_CTD_Cause_and_Fix.jpg

So i replaced the mentioned files with the ones from the original ELFX Main Mod (and for the flickering snow issue the rest, too) and it worked. No more CTD while nearing Windhelm exterior areas.

I hope that will help some people who might have the same issue. But thanks a lot to you people for thinking about the problem. :)

It's not a world reset you want, you just want the game to sweep up worthless items, which it does a lot more often than 30 days. The wait 3 days has always worked for me, and has always worked when I told someone else to do it, both for world and AI.

Great work, glad you figured that out, sorry if I was a little testy before. I have the ELFX patch and I have not done those fixes, nor have I told anyone else usign this thread to use that fix, and I have never run into it and neither have I heard anyone else having run into it.

don't see how waiting 3 days is supposed to do anything

you probably have some broken npc

if you make a save in zone x, enter zone y, and the game pick a broken npc in the leveled list, you ctd

when you load that save, leveled lists are already load for zone y, or z, or whatever zone you enter next, and you will ctd again

if you go do your waiting in another zone, game will pick something else for zone y when you get back in zone x, and you may not ctd this time

but if you can reproduce the ctd, you can fix it, and you should do it

have a lot of mods, that mean a lot of problems

UV2b0sU.jpg

and i had a lot of problems

i use requiem, that mod is dangerous, many scripts don't survive stack dump and that mean troubles

that was a ctd when i was killmove by a npc because of a conflict with violenz too

requiem add dozen of npc to some place, it have the same result as additionals spawn mods (the more mods you have that mess with those npc, the more ctd you have if there's a problem)

after zora fair shield was rescued behind winterhold, leaving the arcaneum was a ctd

because those npc initially disabled, something was still messing with them, after that event was done

leaving the ice cave of agentofrighteousmight was impossible if sofia was following me (don't know why, have just dismiss her, had to dismiss serana too, she was attacking the boss while he was talking)

etc etc

took care of everything with what i wrote above, removing things, then putting things back to identify the problem

ok, if you want to have some epic long fights run the full wenches line including hateful wenches.   If left on standard settings, that first fight in bleak falls barrow (with draugar) turns into an undead nightmare.   I went in there at level 9 with 2 followers (Toccata and Vixen) and had to console command some better gear to have a chance at winning.   You will end up fighting at least 5 names wenches, Skeleton bosses and all kinds of summoned draugar.   Oh and they resurrect most of the time so you get to fight them twice....Ghesh.   Plus using Daedric  weapons, you barely dent them per hit...would love to see the stats on these things.   Better be prepared if dungeon crawling with this mod installed.

ok I have an issue that I simply can't find a reliable solution to.   I know the skyproc issue has been around for awhile, I have tried all the solutions I could find and it still wont work.   I have watched all the videos to make sure everything was installed and MO is set up to handle them correctly.   But still get that error missing masters USKP.  I have been reading all the forums under each of the mods, what a huge pain in the arse.   At this point about ready to uninstall anything using it.

Posted

This is a USKP issue due to USKP simply now being too freaking big for the 16 bit Skyrpoc program (yeah seriously, 16 bit) to handle all it's records, so it fails utterly. While by now this has been fixed on the Skyproc side for many mods, a lot of mods like Wintermyst, PerMa, SkyRe etc is never getting updated, so as a result I just havent' updated my USKP in the last 3-4 months. Last one works fine for me, I hardly ever run into issues. I may consider uploading the previous version if you can't get it.

If that's not an option however because new USKP fixes something utterly unfixable, here's the only known workaround, I had to dig real deep for this, right from... the top post in the USKP nexus thread? Okay... Sorry dude. :P Or rather specifically there's a link to this with them not recommendign people doing it, because most people on the nexus are idiots who forget to do the last step and ruin their game and then blame Arthmoor and gang. But it's still basically the best way to get around it.

1. Install TES5Edit.
2. Install the new Unofficial Skyrim Patch 2.1.2.
3. Start TES5Edit
4. Right click on the little window and click "select none"
5. Click on the box next to "Unofficial Skyrim Patch" a tick should appear
6. Click "OK"
7. Wait until the message log states "Background Loader: finished".
8. Click on the little plus next to "Unofficial Skyrim Patch"
9. Find "Cell" listed under "Unofficial Skyrim Patch"
10. Right click on "Cell" and click "Remove"
11. Click "Yes" or "I agree" (or whatever it says) on both of the warnings.
12. Close TES5Edit and click OK to save the modified Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp.
13. Run your Skyproc-based patcher.
14. IMPORTANT: As a final step, you MUST reinstall the original Unofficial Skyrim Patch 2.1.2. As Arthmoor said: "for the love of Talos, don't forget to put back the proper version once you're done! BAD THINGS™ happen otherwise."

Should also in theory work with USLEEP once that comes out, as long as of course step 14 isn't skipped. If you skip step 14, don't blame me or Arthmoor. Arthmoor would become upset, I would look into hitmen. Just saying.

[DIsclaimer: I have not actually tried this at all because I have not updated USKP in so long, in theory it should work fine, but I have not tried it nor do I know how Java or whatever works.]

sorry, did not mention that I had seen this option on most of the site, and that would be harsh to do every time you add or remove a mod, which I do often.   If you have a place to find the older USKP that would be awesome, will go through the latest threat on the mods side and see if anyone has linked it.

edit. and I did update mod organizer (its different...) and ran the patch for the mods in question, and still get the same error :(

Okay latest version that functions with Skyproc I have is 19.2.1. I'm uploading it to Mega now but it will take overnight because I'm also downloading stuff off Steam and my connection is absolutely horrid (how it was able to sustain a year worth of MMO playing I have no idea).

EDIT: Okay it won't take overnight, it's just 98 MB, for some reason I thought it was like a gig. So we're looking at maybe half an hour, and meanwhile my PC is fucking paralyzed when it comes  to online shit (as in virtually everyhting I do), so make that 2 hours as I'm off to watch a movie meanwhile. :P

Unofficial Skyrim Patch 19.2.1.1 if you can't make your Skyproc Patchers work by now, you're doing it wrong.

And by that I mean make sure your executable for ASIS for example reads like this; -Xmx1024m -jar "F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Mod Organizer\mods\ASIS Patcher 1-42-5-18436-1-42-5\SkyProc Patchers\ASIS\ASIS.jar"

So I updated to Windows 10 and Skyrim keeps crashing on startup. I know it's ENBoost doing it, since there are no other mods aside from the official (and TES5Edit cleaned) DLC and I did a fresh install. SKSE is also installed and is not causing an issue when I get rid of ENBoost.

Has anyone managed to get ENBoost to work with Windows 10? I've got a 64 bit system and my graphics cards is an nVidia 970 GTX.

I ensured all my enblocal.ini settings are correct for ENBoost and my memory settings as well. Just not sure how to fix this.

Posted

Clarification, do you have a full ENB or just ENBoost, and if the latter why?

Running Win10, ENBoost (in latest binaries for RealVision) + ENBHost, no issues at all, I installed Win 10 from Win 7, loaded up my game and continued playing from a few hours earlier with 0 adjustments. Crashes occur at maybe a 5 hour rate barring actual game breakage from mods or things like the "black home effect" you CTD if you don't wait 3 days first.

Posted

I really don't care for ENB's and just prefer the performance boost.

It's probably something in the enblocal, but I can't figure out what it is since nothing's really changed from before aside from a new OS and GPX.

Posted

It's entirely possible to use a ENB without any enhancements but performance, but do me a favor and try installing RealVision latest version, the light/performance verison, don't activate anythng and turn of Depth of Field, then boot up. Colors will look a lot less gray and picture will look clearer, without changing anything else at all, and you will have a large performance boost over what ENBoost gives you with that card thanks to ENBHost.

Still don't like it, remove it (it's real easy with RealVision due to it's installer program, only thing you dump in your Skyrim folder is the 2 ENBSeries files) and I'll tell you how to use the latest ENBSeries binaries with the performance boost without any visual alteration at all.

More importantly if you crash doing this as well, it's not ENBoost crashing you.

Posted

I'll give that a shot, but it's for sure ENboost since it's the only thing installed right now (fresh install of the game) and when I remove it, the game runs fine.

I've never had a problem with it before, just since upgrading my hardware and software.

Posted

Upgrading hardware? From what to what? That's more likely to cause a problem with ENBoost than Win10 by itself. Also what did you update from, Win 7, 8, XP?

Posted

Updated from Windows 8.1 (64bit) to Windows 10 (64bit). Upgraded my GPX from an nVidia 660 GTX to a 970 GTX.

Windows 10 says DirectX is automatically installed with it.

I fixed it. Stoopid DirectX. I had to reinstall the June 2010 version.

I've been playing for a while now with Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69306/?

It's excellent.

1) A better Alchemy nerf than Morrowloot or Perma were.

a) You now make potions you intend to use, because you want them, not as a fast way to get infinite money. You can, however, still make money with potion crafting, just at a rate closer to smithing,
B) You can tweak whether or not potions stack, the rate at which they restore Health or Magicka, and whether or not Vampires can use Restore Health potions.
c) Names are standardized, so that the potions you craft usually match the names of the potions you find.

d) All of these changes seem to carry over well to mod added ingredients.

The effect of all of this is that potions are still useful without being the best and fastest path to Uber Godhood.

2) An optional, integrated Hunger and Sleep system that lets you drop more complicated and resource intensive mods.

3) Much improved cooking. Food is no longer better than potions, but still has enough effects (especially if you get your cooking skill up) that you'll want to turn on the Hunger system. Also, with the value of potion crafting decreased, you'll no longer feel like you're wasting ingredients by using them for food.

4) The option to craft the original versions of ingredients. This is useful when a mod calls for a given ingredient and can't recognize the CACO version.

5) There's a patch that merges the Alchemy tree for this mod with Ordinator's Alchemy skill tree. A good choice if you like the Ordinator perks.

Overall I'm happy with this overhaul. It nerfs the skill, but in a way that adds to rather than takes away from your options.

Ehm, reinstall instead of the DX that comes with Win10, or was that missing individual files you needed? I had no such issues with my GTX 980, and downgrading DX could be serious if you want to later play a modern game that needs the newer DX.

I have a question regarding how I might fix something I believe might have been left over from a mod I once installed.

A while back, I installed the sexlab drain mod and the playersuccubusquest mod. Not too long after, I decided I didn't like them, since they had unreliable features that failed to work correctly. However, after manually removing every file, it left over this weird instance that happens occasionally during sex in which my partner will catch on fire and cause npcs to become hostile, although they never actually attack me.

Any idea what might cause this?
